Key to Creating a Centre of Gravity - (4757)

Human beings always have to have something at their centre. It is a law. It is fundamentally how we all work. It is a part of our structure just as much as having a sun at the centre of a solar system is how a solar system works, and always will work.

Human beings therefore so naturally create a centre of gravity. I have seen some families have the cat or dog as their centre of gravity. That is mostly what they talk about, what mostly concerns them and where most of their time and attention goes when they are at home.

For some it is a relationship, for others it is food, for others still, it is the ocean, the gym and so and so on.

For us, if we want to make the work on ourselves the centre of gravity, we can just as easily and naturally do the same.

We can make the human soul our centre of gravity if we wish as well...

It all works by loving something.

By making it emotional and assigning high value to it.

First step, is to find high value and devote to it. Just as we devote to something very human that we like.

Like it and like and it will then get into our emotional centre and then we are on our way to making it our centre of gravity.

The more we place it at our forefront and highest priority, the more we will see the benefits of it and the more we will like it and later naturally love it.

Don't Respond to Abyss with Abyss - (4700)

Two abysses don't make a mountain.

If someone gives us their abyss, we can't ever respond with ours.

As just as it feels to do so we can't, because we are appealing to a different justice system. The justice system of our Inner Being.

If we hold true to the principles of the Inner Being and not go with our abyss, even though it may be humanly costly and unfair, our Inner Being will compensate us a little later on for that effort.

The Inner Being is never scared of human discomfort or sacrifice.

Compensation will come to us. This is guaranteed. We just have to wait and even better forget about having to wait, and it will come even quicker.

We want and our work wants that the Inner Being in us to be more present and It's ways triumph. When we answer with the abyss we go backwards away from our Inner Being.

We have to not answer with the abyss because it is not of our essential nature and we have to pay the price for not answering with the abyss, because everything costs, even our Being costs, but our Inner Being refunds us.

If we do answer with the abyss because we don't want to pay the price, we pay a higher price with the pain and suffering of the ego and we are not refunded for it, we incur in more debt.

How do we pay the price? Often by keeping quiet.

Waiting for a Change is a Hollow Sound - (4669)

Waiting or people or circumstances to change is not good policy or a sound technique.

It is a hollow sounding technique...

We wait for the circumstances to change, where apparently things will be easier. But we don't really know if they will or not. It just looks like it will

Many people retire thinking their life will be quieter and easier, yet often it is busier and noisier than before.

We wait for circumstances to change because we don't want to make  the efforts to surpass the difficulties of the current circumstances.

The circumstances are apparently 'scheduled' to change and they will, if the plans go ahead, but as we haven't changed internally, in some time the same or similar difficulties, through different avenues will return.

There is no time to start to the change, the change is now, yet the change once started can take some time, but in time the new will come.

Waiting for the circumstances to change will happen in time, and if there is no internal change, there will be no time left to wait for the new, as the time to change was before the circumstances changed.

Basically if we are doing nothing now just waiting for things to change when the scheduled circumstances change - nothing will change.

Community is a Kind of Consciousness - (4536)

Community is certainly a kind of consciousness.

We often don't think that it is, but if we reflect on it, we will see that it really is. It is in fact a more expanded type of consciousness.

It is a kind of consciousness that covers a greater area of points of view, concerns, knowledge and experiences than the normal individual or family consciousness.

So many people are happier in a community, and this is because they enjoy a more expanded and lighter state of consciousness.

There are three types of consciousness:

1.) Unilateral
Consciousness of only ourselves. That is consciousness directed in one direction only.

2.) Bilateral
Consciousness directed in two directions. That is consciousness of ourselves and others.

3.) Multi-lateral
Consciousness directed in a multitude of directions. That is consciousness of many others, even as great as to cover a planet, a solar system and a galaxy or galaxies.

The so called middle-man, has a more expanded consciousness than the buyer or seller. Being in the middle, he or she knows the positions and interests of both parties and works to reconcile them both ,creating a third and new state of consciousness that either of the buying and selling party do not have.

The community consciousness requires more values to be held together than the individual consciousness, and encopmpasses a consciousness of the unity. That is it is aware of how one action within the community affects others and the whole.

Conclusion, if we are wanting our consciousness to expand more, especially to free it from selfishness, we must seek out a community and integrate within the community, working for the benefit of all.

Interesting Symptoms and Consequences of Identification - (4437)

These are the symptoms we typically experience when we become heavily identified with something that is not, and is not of our essential nature.

The more more the thing we are identified with the more severe are these symptoms.

When people are under 'stress' these symptoms are common also, especially the hazy memory aspect.

An Origin of Self-Deception - (4434)

Where does the capacity of self-deception come from? One answer is that is something that we ourselves have created. How have we created it? One answer is through the many difficult experiences of life.

We may have found ourselves in difficult life circumstances and maybe the only way to get out of it with minimal effect to others and ourselves was to lie. Which could have included exaggerating our suffering and the difficulties we were going through.

Seeing that this worked, we then repeat it and repeat it. Using it as a way to get out of difficulty, sometimes when it was our fault and sometimes when we didn't have the legitimate means ourselves to get ourselves out of difficulty. Creating a pattern of behaviour. As everything in life demands a transaction, we pay for the lies that get us out difficulty by selling our own truth and developing self-deception.

In synthesis, self-deception is something that we create through lying, which starts off consciously then in time becomes a habit. As the habit strengthens in time we begin to believe our lies, lying to ourselves becomes a way of thinking. Then our capacity to self-deceive has matured within us to become a feature of psychology and something that impedes our awakening and the ability to see our faults.

Learning is Balancing - (4425)

Learning about ourselves is really a process of balancing, restoring the balance.

That is why learning about ourselves never stops, because the universe is always in a state of flux, meaning that the universe is always rebalancing itself, and learning is one of the processes that restores the balance anew.

The oscillations between balance and imbalance is what keeps everything moving. If all was totally balanced everything would become static. But very little is static.

As we are alive and we are in a state of flux and always will be and so we will always be learning to reinstate new and old balances.
