One the really helpful teachings of Dream Yoga is that we are to see day and night as the dream experience.
We may agree about the night being a dream but not about the day. Right?
The more we think about it, the more we will see that the day is lived through dreams, just like our dreams at night are.
We spend most of the day dreaming, and we really live in our dreams. It is often the case that our dreams make us to face the day and battle on.
We have a dream about everything we have, do and are. We have a car and there is a dream about the car. We dream that with the car we can drive here, there and everywhere and it won't breakdown and will make us happy etc. etc.
Just look at your life and you will see it is totally full of dreams and we live trying to fulfill those dreams, in fact we live for those dreams.
Day and night are so related. What we do (dream) in the day affects our night and what we dream at night affects our day. How many times have we seen that what we did in the day influenced our dreams and how a bad series of dreams affects our day.
Being open to the day being a dream has profound affects upon our awakening at night. Because if we are always waking up out of dreams in our day we will be open to wake up in the night when we leave our physical body and go into the astral (world of dreams) and astral travel (dream).
It helps so much to see our day as a dream. We are not worng to do this.
One big time reason why we don't wake up out of our dreams at night is because we are not yet open to to fact that we are living our day in dreams.
