Law of Revolution Notes - (4640)

There are different types of revolutions and there are revolutions on different scales.

The Law of Revolution exists as a legitimate door to break free from stagnation and of becoming stuck under any one of the other laws that have the capacity for duality.

When a Law has the capacity for duality there is the potential to become stuck.

The Law of Revolution is a Law that favours the Absolute more directly, as it is the Law that helps essences to return to it.

In the Law of Karma - Cause and Effect we can see the duality where it can bring delay, burden, suffering and the opposite too. Because the Law of Karma has a negative side any one of us can become stuck by this law. Hence appears the Law of Revolution to liberate us from having become stuck.

The Law of Revolution always points to UNITY as the escape and salvific door way and modus operandi.

Many mini revolutions make a great revolution.

Breaking recurrence by recurrence of our "I's" leads to the revolution of breaking away from the Law of Return.

The Law of Revolution is intimately related to will. Free will, conscious will. It is will that decides to liberate.

The Law of Revolution does not imply changing our whole routine especially if it is conducive to a lot of daily work on ourselves. It would imply that we be free to change it if necessary.

The Law of Revolution is related to the Law of Liberation which is related to Jupiter, which is known to be the Father of the Gods. This is because as mentioned earlier because the Law of Liberation or Revolution works the most in favour of the Father of the Gods.

Law of Return Notes - (4639)

The Law of Return is a tremendous law. A great Law that operates cosmically as well on a microscopic and even smaller scale.

It's clearest examples of manifestation can be seen physically in the cosmos and in physical life on a planet.

Every cycle that we can witness is due to the Law of Return. Day and night, months, planetary years, sidereal years, the seasons,

Time is directly derived from the action of the Law of Return. The gap between the return of the sunrise is called by human beings day and night. The mind of human beings divides day and night into 24 hours, and then each hour is divided into 60 minutes and so on, giving us the conventional measurement of time.

The Law of Return is round. So much in nature is round. Time is round, our planets are round, much of nature is round or spiraled, our heads are round, our life is round even...

The Law of Return is the one that functions to return a process, journey, trajectory back to it original point of departure.

The beginning is always the same as the end plus the experience learned in the cycle. We all return to the same point but with much more love and wisdom learnt along the way.

Nature works all based on cycles. Cycles of migration, cycles of reproduction, cycles of death and renewal, the water cycle etc. In fact the life of nature is about maintaining these natural cycles.

It can be seen as the way the Absolute has given us to learn. We all learn by repetition and in octaves. Each repetition allows us to learn something new or something that was previously hidden. The esoteric process works this way. Purification occurs in octaves via repetition and the Law of Octaves. The seven stones are a good example of this.

If we are conscious we can reduce the number of repetitions to a minimum. If we are not conscious and we don't want to learn the number of cycles increases greatly.

The Law of Return works on the ego. Not on the free essence and not on the personality.

The reason why we are subjected to the Law of Return is because our essence is trapped and conditioned and we need successive lives - repetitions to learn the lessons and dissolve it.

Involution and Evolution work based on the Law of Return.

Creation works by means of the Law of Return. All of creation returns to the place from where it departed from. - the Absolute.

The Law of Return takes us back to the places we have departed from. The basic feeling of Return is nostalgia.

The saying: "The criminals always returns to the scene of the crime" is very interesting and has truth to it.

We start life as a baby where we can't do anything for ourselves and at old age we end our life in the same way. The end meets the beginning.

When we study the metallic planets of Alchemy we see how our life returns. After the age of Saturn we repeat life's early stages of Saturn and Moon, Saturn and Mercury, Saturn and Venus and we come under the same influences as we did when we were younger.

We can return physically but be different psychologically.

The Law of Return works on us the minute we make a start to a journey. That is why many journeys return back home to start again.

To defeat the return - a degree of conscious will is needed.

In every cycle where the Law of Return functions there is a maximum and a minimum. When the degree of conscious will is at a maximum the Law of Return is at its weakest. As soon as the maximum amount of conscious will has been given, the Law of Return begins to function. The Law of Return  functions and as it does it accumulates in intensity, finally achieving its end, which is to take us back to the original point of departure.

End (4639).

Laws of Reincarnation, Octaves and Revolution - (4638)

These three laws are all related.

The Law of Reincarnation is the result of the Law of Revolution.

When the Law of Revolution works on the Law of Recurrence the Law of Octaves is activated.

When we decide for something different we area activating the Law of Revolution. Then under the Law of revolution we activate the Law of Octaves which then works on the Law of Recurrence.

When the Law of Octaves works on the Law of Recurrence, the recurrences become either more complicated and heavy or lighter and simpler in Octaves or spirals.

The Law of Octaves produces spirals. All the spirals geometries found in nature are due to the Law of Octaves.

The Law of Revolution exists primarily as the way to undo and break free from return and recurrence.

When we are breaking free we arrive at being free enough to chose to incarnate according to conditions not dictated by karma.

The goal of revolution is to arrive at conscious will. Which is the will of the sacred individual not conditioned by karma.

The Law of Revolution is a law that works with the all the laws to free oneself from karma and recurrences.

Breaking recurrence by recurrence of our "I's" leads to the revolution of breaking away from the Law of Return. A large revolution such as breaking the need to return in successive lives starts with the mini revolution of breaking a habit...

Three Minds Notes - (4637)

Links

Here are some links to posts in this blog related to the topic of the Three Minds:

Why Three Minds

Battle Between Sensorial and Inner Minds

Intermediate Mind

Inner Mind

Three Minds and Relationships

Introduction

We need to know our mind. We need to know how our mind works. To know our mind is to know how we relate to life and how we can better relate to life. We use our mind 24/7 yet there are really few who know it. We need to know how to use it and what it is good for. In our studies we need to know how to best use our mind. This topic gives us this knowledge.

Notes

The three minds are three layers of the mind. Our mind is like an onion with three layers. With the outer layer being the sensorial mind.

We need each of these three layers in life. Due to not knowing about the existence of these minds we use one mind for everything, which is where we go astray.

To live a balanced spiritual life we need to use all three minds within their correct orbit of function. For a normal and common materialistic type of life we can ignore the inner mind but for a spiritual life we certainly can not do that.

Each mind deals with each of our three realities.

We often dismiss one mind using the other. For example the inner mind is often dismissed by the sensorial mind.

The mind is an instrument. This we need to understand. It is an instrument of our consciousness. It's authentic role is to be something receptive and passive. Where it receives the messages from the consciousness and presents them on what is often called "the screen of the mind" for the consciousness to see. In other instances the mind's role is to reflect the truth, that is to gather the facts and present them for the consciousness to discern and interpret.

Each mind can give a different answer to the same event of life. That answer will be according to the data that each mind works with.

The inner mind is concerned with the advice that comes from the values or qualities of the consciousness. As the consciousness is free from thinking, the inner mind sets us free.

The sensual mind puts us into contact with the physical world and is the appropriate instrument to deal with the issues and matters of our physical life. Such as money, budgets, schedules, fixing things around the house (trades), food, cleaning, sports, travel etc.

The sensorial mind is an ignorant mind and often a mistaken mind, as our senses are defective and convey inaccurate information to the sensorial mind. The sensorial mind then elaborates reasoning and concepts based on information that is false.

We can not study and understand esoterism with the sensorial mind. We need to learn how to access the other two minds.

All three minds ideally should work as one, however the ego has made them to work separately and in an unbalanced way. Where we actually just live in one mind only.

We need to transcend both the sensorial and intermediate minds to go to the inner mind. If we can not do this we will experience a lot of frustration in trying to understand our spiritual studies.

The sensorial mind puts us into contact with the physical world, the world of three dimensions. The Intermediate mind puts us into contact with conceptualisation and opens and starts the movement towards the inner mind. The inner mind puts us into contact with the consciousness.

A belief starts as a concept. A belief is a concept that has been invested in with our emotion and our faith. Beliefs are a lot stronger than concepts and we become very attached to our beliefs.

Conscious faith belongs to the inner mind. Faith belongs to the intermediate mind. Skepticism belongs to the sensorial mind.

The inner mind knows the truth, the intermediate mind deduces the truth and the sensorial mind witnesses a part of the truth.

Universal Mind Notes - (4621)

Introduction

Importance of knowing our own mind. This topic presents some great truths about our mind, the minds of others and the mind of the cosmos. Knowing these truths makes it possible to better understand our mind,  the way it works and how creation and the Cosmos work.

Notes

Our mind is not our brain. There is a vast difference between our mind and our brain.

Our mind is not enclosed in our skull. Our mind is much vaster than we think.

If our mind were enclosed in our skull we would live in utter darkness. We would not know anything.

Our brain is the receptor of the energy we call the mind. Our thoughts are not in our brain but in our mind and our brain receives those mental energies. Our brain interacts with the mind allowing us to hear the thoughts of the mind and also to elaborate thought.

Each of our minds is in the Universal Mind and is part of the Universal Mind.

What is in the Universal Mind can also be perceived by our mind.

What is in our mind is also in the Universal Mind.

There is no Universal Will, Universal Emotion but there is Universal Mind. This is because mind causes emotion so Universal Mind is the same as universal emotion and will is of the sacred individual where the will is the spark to create and instill something into the Universal Mind. Rather than Universal it is conscious individual will.

The Universal Mind is related to the Divine Cosmic Mother. Because the will, the causal factor sends a spark to the Universal Mind where the will to create takes shape within the Universal Mind - making the will masculine and the Universal Mind feminine.

The Universal Mind allows the sacred will of the sacred individual (true individual) a platform to create and express in creation that which it 'wills'.

The internet is not the Universal Mind, of course not, but it is a human attempt at creating a version of the Universal Mind. Where everyone's computers are connected and together form the internet, where potentially the information on all the computers can be seen and accessed by all the others.

There are so many practical examples which show how our minds are all linked and essentially participate of the same. Common thoughts, common reasoning, common logic, common order and ways of organising all come from the Universal Mind. Where those thoughts and processes exist in the Universal Mind and each one of our minds participates in it and also has it inside of it.

The fact that people all over the globe can understand the same logical thought process indicates a Universal Mind. Everyone's mind has the same mechanisms and the same functions and workings.

Master Samael says that we can not know the Universal Mind without knowing our own mind first. A very good example of tthis is the saying supposedly inscribed on one of the columns at the Oracle of delphi: " Oh man know thyself and thy will know the Universe and the Gods.".

There are many examples of how the great inventions of the times have been captured from the Universal Mind and then brought to life here in the physical world.

It is said that everything already exists in the Universal Mind and anything that can ever exist here in the physical exists in the Universal Mind beforehand. So boats, microscopes, nuclear power plants, Televison, radio, palnes, computer networks etc. all existed in the Universal Mind before it existed here in life on Earth.

For example, any building before being built exists in the mind of the architect. If this building exists in the mind of a human being, it then exists in the Universal Mind. Before materialising in physical form things must be formed in the mind beforehand. Everything materialises down from the Mind. Creation existed in the Universal Mind before it became physical. The Universal Mind is where all creation begins.

Everything is really condensed mind. Mind is a type of energy that gives form to things and that energy condenses until it takes shape in matter here in the physical world. In human terms the condensation process of mind into matter is the mediation between the idea and practicality.

Mother Nature allows human beings special access into the Universal Mind when She needs that 'we' be distracted so as to avert certain processes from happening such as harmful conflicts. It is said that Mother Nature allowed scientists to discover and invent the TV to distract and entertain human beings so to avoid creating the circumstances that could have lead to world wide conflicts. Master Samael mentions this in the Perfect Matrimony.

Imagination and the Universal Mind are intimately linked. We and all other creatures actually have eyes, because the creator/s have the faculty of imagination. We have eyes to see what they imagined. A great part of the Universal Mind is images, drawings, designs, plans which are all created by imagination.

To create anything will, imagination, and energy are needed. There has to be the will to create (a causal factor), the idea of what (the solution) and energy to bring it to physical life (creative energy). Basically will acts on the mind, where in the mind there are images and energy (sound or vibration).

Each thought is a collection of words and images. This is because what exists in the Universal Mind are images and sounds. Words are concepts summarised into a sound. Each sound is a vibration.

Master Samael says that within the Universal mind reside the "Cosmic Reserves of Intelligence". If we possess a mental body we can access these reserves of Cosmic Intelligence for our benefit and the benefit of others. The solar mental body gives us greater access and understanding of the Universal mind.

The famous and well spoken about "Law of Atrtraction", works because of the Universal Mind. A simple way to explain it is to see that when we imagine something repeatedly we create a mental object that has real presence in our mind that then takes up a presence in the Universal Mind. As soon as that mental object or image is present in the Universal Mind the laws that operate in the Universal Mind such as the Law of Correspondence, the Law of Affinitiy, the Law of Magnetism begin to bring like elements to it in the plane of the Universal Mind. These like elements then start a process of linking to each other and to other new like elements, which then opens the possibility to condense the mental object or image into existence in the physical plane.

For example, I need a lawn mower, then imagining a lawn mower after a while takes one to think of asking the neighbour then talking to the neighbour takes me to borrow his lawn mower then borrowing his lawn mower I see the phone number of the retail shop in which he bought it. Then I call the shop and find out about a second hand lawn mower retail outlet and then I go and visit and soon enough I find out which mower I need and I eventually acquire one.

This is an important point to do with the Universal Mind: Mental Hygiene. What we think we put into the Universal mind and so we can corrupt the Universal Mind with dark and negative thinking. Others can collect such negative thoughts and be ill-affected. Knowledge of this introduces mental responsibility.

Our mind is like our stomach. If we eat unhealthly our health will suffer. If we digest negative impressions and think negatively our mental health will suffer. Poor mental health means - little imagination, little concentration, little cohesion - often jumping between different thoughts, frequent illogical thought, little power to organise life, little power to see and adhere to reality, constant confusion, lost in negative thinking, unable to stop thinking etc. etc.

Due to the Universal Mind there are mental epidemics, like a pandemic. Where fashions, trends, ways of thinking, concepts all travel through the Universal Mind and into the minds of others. Which can be either good or bad, all depending on what is travelling. Usually an epidemic implies something negative, but does not have to be. Such as pornography, drug use, depression and the increased number of young male suicides these days.

End (4621).

Ego is the Value and Personality is How it Looks - (4636)

For example the ego in us has the need to be the best, to capture and hold the most attention, to be the best, to have the best, to be liked the most, to have the most, to receive the best or most from others etc.

From life time to life time, satisfying this need will depend upon time and space. In other words personality. For example, to be the 'best' two hundred years ago living as an Eskimo in the Arctic was to be able to build the biggest iglo in the quickest time and be able to hunt the biggest seals. Now living in Australia, it is to earn seven or more figures and have all that which gives 'status'.

This is how the ego in us works. It is the same ego over our successive lives, using the different values of the personality to satisfy its needs. The ego needs the personality to manifest through, and to use as a reference point to determine what in life will give it the food, perceptions and 'senses of' (sense of being, sense of having etc.) that it needs.

For example, the ego of pride that is concerned with the 'best', uses the personality to determine what the 'best' is, which is usually what people now days value the most in that area.

Transformation from Negative to Positive Perception of People - (46$$)

We can have a negative perception about people and we may work on that, and we may neutralise it, and with a bit more work even transform it into being good-willed and positive.

However a real definite and overall change in perception happens when we get to know them, spend some time with them and join them in their struggles and fights.

Then we really come to understand them and know them...and this is what produces the change in us.

The change that is produced in us towards them is a long lasting one which does not easily turn negative, whereas before this, our perception would easily slip back to something that had a negative overtone to it.

In conclusion, if we do have a negative perception or concept of a person or group of persons, and we would really like to shift that. Then the way to do it is very easy. Somehow try and help them with something, fight alongside them and then you will surely get to know their values, what they have and who they are in their heart. Not fully but hopefully to a degree that is enough to produce that change.

There is nothing like the action of struggling to overcome obstacles and difficulties to bring out what  human beings have in their heart, and if that is witnessed by others, that also brings out what is in the hearts of those who witness...

Relativity and Duality in Gang Psychology - (5349)

From a look at the psychology that moves in gangs, relativity and duality jumps out loud and clear.

A gang is defined by being a group that hates 'those ones' in the next neighbourhood. Here we see an identity standing in relation to something else, an external something else. Take away the gang in the next neighbourhood and the gang identity disappears.

We are like that with our identity, there are elements within us in which we define ourselves based off of something else. The real identity comes from inside of us not depending on anything else.

Another element of gang psychology is conditioned love. There are tremendous expectations to perform in favour of the perceived interests of the gang. If one falls short, one is sent straight away into the rank of outcast where it is very difficult to rise out of. This too happens in life, we have all done this to others or have experienced it.

Another element is that of a short life. Each gang member knows that they will die soon. That in the next clash with a rival gang they could be killed or be hunted down or 'randomly' die because of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Gang psychology makes human beings to have a life as if they were living in the animal kingdom. You can see that a gang member almost lives like a animal in a jungle, who has to fight for survival and watch it's back 24/7 to not stray into unknown territory and not become a meal or just a 'kill' for another animal.

In short, gang psychology is based on the conditioning of relativity and duality which when that conditioning becomes heavy it gives us an animal-like life, characterised with its pains and sufferings.

Impossible to Monsterise Whom we Don't Know - (4635)

We can only really make someone out to be a monster when we don't know them.

When we know a person, we can't make them out to be a monster. Maybe just a difficult or unpleasant person but not a monster.

This is because getting to know a person and the moral responsibility of keeping our normal face when we meet them, dissolves that whole monster like atmosphere that we 'see' about them.

When continue not knowing a person, it is difficult for us to stop seeing them as a 'monster'.

Anger due to Seeing Defects - (4634)

There is a certain anger that appears when others point out our defects and make us see our defects and hold us to seeing them beyond our efforts to self-deceive.

This anger if we are defined to self-discover and die in ourselves is not helpful.

If we surrender to the process and actively participate in it we can benefit mountains.

There are times when we have to go through such a dry period of work on ourselves because there is little or no time.

The anger appears to protect the ego that has been discovered and also to protect our psychological sense of being all ok with little to change about ourselves and also because we may feel it is difficult to change and we feel lacking in capacity.

End (4634).

Way to Work is Work by the Day - (4632)

A good way to work on ourselves is to work our day.

That means to work straight away on the things that appear in us to work on.

To do retrospections of the day and then work.

If we miss this we are behind already. When we can't afford being behind because we needed to have changed yesterday, we have to work this way.

End (4632).

Remember the Best Moments to Remember Ourselves are the Worst Moments - (4633)

In the everyday difficult moments of our life we need self-remembering. They are the times that we really need it, more so than the quiet times.

Though we need the quiet times to train for the difficult moments.

We also need the quiet times to make self-remembering a frequent practice so that when the difficult moments come, we will remember to remember.

If we are in self-remembering in a difficult moment we can find out what that difficult moment is all about.

If we remember ourselves in a difficult moment we can have access to our consciousness and so we can stop ourselves from saying things that make matters worse and more difficult.

If we devote time to self-remembering during our day, we do not waste our day and we do not feel like we have wasted it.

Prayer to the Three Logoi - (4630)

Prayer

Source of divine joys, direct your actions towards us. Holy Affirming, Holy Denying, Holy Reconciling, transubstantiated in me, for my Being; Holy God, Holy Steadfast, Holy Immortal: have mercy on us.

“Fuente de divinos regocijos, dirigid vuestras accio-nes hacia nosotros. Santo Afirmar, Santo Negar, Santo Conciliar, transubstanciados en mí, para mi Ser; Santo Dios, Santo Firme, Santo Inmortal: tened misericordia de nosotros.” (Spanish)

Meaning/Commentary - S.A.W

"For something He has been called the "Firm Saint", because he can not be defeated. In teh end, He triumphs and then he is covered in glory."

"This is a precious canticle to the Three Great Primary Forces of the Universe. These Three Forces constitute in themselves the Father, Osiris, who by unfolding becomes Neith, Isis. In the union of Him and "Her" is our particular Jeshua, our own intimate Jesus Christ, our very own, the one who must enter us (our body) to save us.

Very special in this prayer is that of: "Holy God, Holy Steadfast, Holy Immortal", because the "Elder of the Centuries" of  Kabbalah is the "Holy God" and the "Holy Steadfast" is Jeshua, our particular intimate Jeshua, the one who, incorporating himself into us, takes charge of all our psychological processes: of all our passions, feelings, thoughts, etc., of all our temptations to overcome them in himself, to transmute them in itself; and that only the "Holy Steadfast" can do.

That of "Holy Affirming", "Holy Denying" and "Holy Reconciling" is also very interesting.

Why? Because the First Force is that of the Eternal Affirmation, that of the Father; the second one of the Eternal Denial, that of the Son; and the Third that of Eternal Conciliation, that of the Holy Spirit.

The Father affirms, the Son denies, the Holy Spirit reconciles.

What does the Son deny? Why is it said that the Son denies? Because the Son denies or does not want everything that we want: passions, psychological defects, etc. And why is it said that the Third Force is the "Holy Conciliating"? Because with that Third Force we reconcile. With who? With Divinity. I refer emphatically to the Sexual Force, to that force with which our body was formed, to that force with which our body developed in the womb of our mother, to that force that brought us into existence.

Why is it said: "Transubstantiated in me, for my Being, for our Being"? because the three Primary Forces of the Universe: that of the much loved Father, that of the much adored Son and that of the very wise Holy Spirit, go through a transubstantiation in us and for our Being. Do you understand what does this mean, my dear brothers? "Transubstantiate" means that a substance becomes another. You now understand why the Three Primary Forces go through transubstantiation into us and for our Being? That's a great thing! It is obvious that we need to crystallize in ourselves the Three Primary Forces.

To Flirt is to not be Defined - (4631)

When we flirt it is because we are not defined and hence not unified in our position or choice.

To flirt means to be in something and then be dabbling in the opposite, or dabbling in something that is not good for what we are in.

A lot of our difficulties comes from flirting with the ego.

We are in the endevour of working to dissolve our egos and we find ourselves flirting with the ego. Which really means keeping the ego alive.

Flirting with the ego means to work in its dissolution and then identify with it, strengthening it. When we flirt it is because we have some feelings for what we are flirting with, or because we are not fully committed in all of our centres.

If we stop flirting we save time, energy and we make progress. Of course we start by flirting less, then less again and then even less. As soon as we flirt less we notice immediate improvements!

Flirting in any area, is usually brushed off in the mind as being harmless, as just being a one off occurence and not being serious. Really it is serious when it comes to the work of the dissoluton of the ego. It really stagnates our work!

Flirtatious Thinking Leads to No Result - (4629)

In our Gnostic work we discover that we can not flirt with the things that are obstacles to the work.

We eventually realise that we have to take one line in all of our centres. Why? Because when we flirt with the obstacles to the work, we stray from our work and end up stuck in the obstacle.

For example, when we flirt with life after being more devoted in the work, we end up finding ourselves fascinated with life again.

While we are establishing ourselves outside of the obstacles to the work, we understand for ourselves that we need to be strict with ourselves and adhere strictly to the line of the work. Otherwise our attempts will fail!

Often people misjusdge this strictness as fanaticism. But when we are really trying to overcome an obstacle it is not fanaticism. It is just doing what needs to be done to overcome the obstacle, because no other way works. Flirting with the obstacle certainly does not work.

We usually learn this lesson the hard way, and we teach or advise this to others and often they don't listen. They have to fail themselves and after failing they can then understand what we advised them, which is also what we were advised and did or did not listen to.

Attacking without Love is not Honest - (4627)

Post Revised: 13/02/2024

The common experience is that we attack others strongly with our mind and then it blows up because the other person gets upset and then we feel sorry and we change our tact, saying that we only want the best for them and that it is only for their benefit that they look after themselves in this or that way etc.

When we change our tact we are being honest and natural and we are coming from our heart. This is then when the other person actually listens and understands and something that is new and beneficial to all is created.

When we attack we are not honest, because we haven't gone to our heart and consciousness yet. We are only in our mind which is one sided. It only sees the negative that must be attacked, and the negative must be beaten away.

When we do go to our heart and consciousness, we know what we want to say and why. We also see both sides and the different angles involved.

When we are coming from our heart we see and know all of the above mentioned points and we can no longer attack but instead explain and honestly reveal our concern which is a power in itself that is far greater than the power of attack which we wrongly think will make things better and allow ourselves to be 'heard'.

Four Way Notes - (4623)

Summary of Points

  • Definition of 'a way'.
  • There are Four Ways.
  • Explanation of Each Way.
  • Why the Fourth Way.
  • Fourth Way offers the possibility for Full Development.
  • Definition of School.
  • Four Types of Schools.
  • Gnosis as Fourth Way and School

A Way

The most complete sense of the word we understand 'a way' as being the knowledge and means to fully develop a human being's human and spiritual potential. Elevating that human being to transcendental states of knowing and being.

In a less complete sense a way is any attempt to develop a human being's psychological and spiritual knowledge, values and powers. This way may be successful, partly successful or not successful, all depending on the knowledge available and the means employed by the people of that way.

Four Ways

There are four known ways (see definition of 'a way') of spiritual development.

1. Way of the Fakir

2. Way of the Monk

3. Way of the Yogi

4. Fourth Way

Outline of Four Ways

Each way has a different: centre of gravity, physical location, goals, motivations, perspective of seeing God, practices and rites, conditions and results.

The four ways in times gone by formed a complete system. The process was that the aspirant would start following the way of the fakir, then move to develop the way of the monk, then the way of the yogi and finally the fourth way.

Each of these ways can be considered serious and authentic ways to achieve something spiritually real. As all of these ways require the aspirant to invest his or her life into the way of life and practice of the way. Which implies a very strong and constant discipline.

All the ways are against the nature of everyday life, which they have to be, as spiritual development itself is a revolution of the common state of consciousness that governs normal everyday life.

What follows is the classical description of each way.

Description of the Four Ways. Include the different characteristics of each. Which further includes the different centres of gravity, different locations, different goals, different motivations, different perspective of God, different practices and rites, different conditions to be a fakir, monk, yogi, fourth way, different results etc.

Fakir

Development of physical will. Subject the body to very difficult tasks. Requiring tremendous physical effort to achieve them. Examples, a fakir raising one arm and never lowering it. Another fakir adopted the 'table' position and never left it. The goal is the acquisition of such a degree of will to hold complete dominion over the body. Fakirism is usually practiced in small communities in the mountains, river banks outside the cities and townships in the Orient, mostly in India. They are many false fakirs that are simply showmen who walk on fire and sleep on beds of nails etc. Ouspensky said that most of these fake fakirs achieve their 'prodigies' through hypnosis. Besides the development of physical will the fakir wishes to pay his/her karmic debts - making the practices of fakirism an act of penance. Which is seen as a way of getting of purification taking one closer to God. Fakirs leave their everyday life behind, which includes their families, their jobs, their towns etc. They take vows of celibacy and often vows of silence. It is against nature and normal life and it is even against God, because fakirism tortures and ruins the physical body which is a temple of the Divine in us. So the fakir develops will in the physical sphere and in relation to the motor centre, however the fakir does not know and does not know how 'to know' nor does he or she know how 'to feel'. It is a way of incomplete development. In short, it shows us clearly that physical will and a physical discipline is needed for spiritual development yet that is only the beginning, the other spheres of ourselves need developing. This way again can be seen as selfish. It serves only a very small community and often fakirs do not have disciples or only ever very few. When they do have disciples the disciples serve the basic needs of the fakir.

Monk

Development of emotional will through emotional unity. The work of the monk is one of unifying all of his/her emotions into the love of God. All inferior emotions and emotions not related to God are overcome through the love of God. The end results is unified love for God where contradictions have been overcome and are no longer present. Monks renounce their normal life and enter a monastery of which there are numerous all over the globe. Monks take vows of poverty, celibacy and obedience to the order they belong to. Monks submit their will to the order and the superiors of the order. They work intensely with service, obedience, devotion and develop through prayer, ceremony, contemplation, worship their love for God. They also develop mysticism which has at its base the love for God. Though obedience and service one draws closer to God. In short the way of the monk shows us that to walk towards the Divine a love of the Divine is needed. Not just any love but an ardent love that takes one over. We also see that the monk is not everything, as the monk has a depth and richness of feeling towards God but lacks knowledge and the power to do. The other spheres of development are needed. If a fakir becomes a monk, such a person has the power to do and to feel but lacks knowledge. This way is against nature, everyday life and

Yogi

Development of knowledge and mental will. The yogi using study and meditation, comes to know and develop a unity of mind, where through a tremendous discipline the yogi has achieved dominion over his or her mind. At will the mind can be focused on God and not stray for several days. Yogis develop mental discipline and consequently do achieve awakening of consciousness. They come to know and experience much of what is occult. They live in Ashrams, temples and on the outskirts of cities and even in remote areas. They know occult anatomy and achieve samadhi through meditation. In the end they know much however they lack the power to do. Because the physical will is not fully developed. They leave behind their everyday life with their family, their occupation and they take vows of poverty, celibacy and sometimes isolation. Some do and some don't have disciples, it is not a requirement of the way. It can be seen like the others as a way that is selfish.

Fourth Way

The development of the consciousness. It was seen that each of the three ways of fakir, monk and yogi would often take a lifetime to master. Which is too long and death would wipe away all that was achieved. One would die and often not return as a fakir, monk or yogi to continue the way. So a way that developed all the aspects of the human being simultaneously was needed. Through the development of the consciousness this is achieved. The consciousness is developed in the fourth way through the dissolution of the pluralised "I" and the awakening of the freed consciousness. To enter a monastery, leave everyday life, take vows of silence, celibacy, poverty is not needed to practice the fourth way.

Fourth Way in More Detail

Working to free and awaken the consciousness is a work that actually touches every aspect of the human being and simultaneously develops all the innate qualities of the human being. Everyday life touches every aspect of ourselves, whereas living in a monastery for example, removes the conditions for every aspect of ourselves to be worked on.

The fourth way offers the quickest way of spiritual development as one does not have to go through the three other ways.

The work of the fourth way can be done in a lifetime. It is not a selfish way it takes into account other human beings. That is why it is also quicker because it activates the law of reciprocity, meaning that more we give the more we receive. The other three ways don't activate the law of reciprocity this way: give light to receive light.

The other interesting point has to do with the use of the sexual energy. The other three ways don't work with the sexual energy. They do not have the knowledge to intelligently work with it for spiritual development. They instead work to overcome the sexual impulse to not be distracted by it.

The fourth way has the practice of Alchemy or transmutation as one of its foundations. The practice of Alchemy is a practice for all the centres of the human machine, in other words to practice alchemy means to practice the way of the yogi, monk and fakir. One certainly needs physical discipline, devotion to the Divine within and mental discipline to practice the Alchemy.

If we analyse a little the esoteric teachings of the main religions and the occult societies we find that they coincide with the fourth way. Esoteric Christianity, esoteric Islam, esoteric Buddhism (tantra) masonry and the authentic yogas all coincide with the fourth way as they work on dissolving the pluralised "I" and practicing the Alchemy.

There are many attempts at reaching more spiritual or higher states of consciousness that people naturally seek out which fall into one of these four ways. Where these higher states of consciousness allow people to experience the feelings of oneness, connectedness to nature, greater lucidity and peace... A good example of this are the various popular attempts to fall into the way of the fakir. To name a few of these we have: surfing, mountain climbing, rock climbing, cross country running, hiking, skiing etc. when done for that spiritual like feeling or experience. These are degenerations of those ways yet it shows that these ways are deeply present in the psyches of people. There are other degenerations that fall into the way of the monk and yogi.

Another interesting point about the fourth way is that it has no fixed or set location on the globe. A fourth way movement with its schools appears at a specific location on the globe to fulfill a mission and after that mission has been fulfilled it withdraws, whereas the other three ways have very fixed locations.

(In general this explanation of the fourth way has to show that the fourth way is very different and has different aims. means and results and its aims and results are more transcendental than the previous three.)

Here below are some excerpts taken from a book: Gurdjieff: Key Concepts written by Sophia Wellbeloved.

A School

What is out there that really helps people to develop their hidden possibilities and to evolve (raise their self-knowledge and level of Being)?

There are: books, workshops, talks, classes, groups (of all kinds: study, practice, discussion etc.), activities such as meditations, worship and ceremonies, religions, teachers, churches, healings, meetings etc. Out of all of them the ones that are most effective at evolving the human being are schools, that is the system where there is a teacher, students and an organised didactic of instruction.

In conclusion to this point, what really gives results is the system of a school. In life what produces serious results are schools. No doctor, lawyer, engineer, plumber or electrician is let lose to serve the public until they have passed through a school of some kind: medical school, law school etc. As schools produce serious and real results in human life, schools produce serious and real results in the life of the spirit.

A school is needed to help develop the human being to its full spiritual potential. A school teaches what and how. In other words people need to be taught about spirituality and about how to practice it. Even Jesus it was said travelled and learnt from many different schools such those in Tibet, Egypt, Greece etc.

What is a school? A school is not a conventional religion. It is an organization that has a teacher, students, objectives and methods to achieve those objectives. Those objectives in this context are the awakening and liberation of the essence and the incarnation of the spirit.

Four Types of Schools

It is almost impossible to list all the spiritual schools, religions, religious sects, spiritual doctrines, movements, teachings that there are on the Earth but we can list the different types of schools.

Master Samael is so clear about each type of school. For example he is so clear about which schools in the world fall into the kindergarten type of school. Read his lecture "Types of Spiritual Schools".

Kindergarten Schools

The kindergarten schools are the ones that deal superficially with spirituality. Their knowledge and methods do not go to the root causes of humanity problems and their knowledge and methods do not delve deep enough to the depths of the human being and the universe to solve the profound spiritual riddles.

Kindergarten schools are useful in the sense that they introduce spirituality and give a person their start into spirituality. They introduce one to the Law of Karma, to perceiving the subtle forces of nature, to meditation, to past lives, healing, the chakras, metaphysical phenomena etc. Many great spiritual leaders of the past had their start in one of these type of schools.

The question is that such schools can only lead a person to develop so far. There is a definite limit that if one wants to develop further one must find another school. The problem is not to get stuck. Such schools are to be graduated from, however it is common that people get stuck in the pleasantries of such schools and consequently their spiritual development stagnates.

Most of the modern spiritual type schools and movements these days fall into either the kindergarten or black magic type.

Often the problem with the kindergarten schools is as Master Samael says, is that the members have lust and that detracts from the integrity and effectiveness of these schools and their methods and aims. Mystical pride is also another common problem in such schools, as often its members believe themselves to be greater than what they actually are.

Another name for the kindergarten schools are the pseudo-esoteric schools.

Pseudo-Esoteric Schools

Often these schools were once Fourth Way schools that had completed their mission and those individuals that kept the revelation and profound traditions alive withdrew and slowly the school became cold losing its flaming heart that shone light and radiated energy into the school and humanity.  What remains of them now are physical buildings and some truths. A good example of this is the Theosophical society.

In the pseudo-esoteric schools there is a lot of half-truths being taught and often lies. This is often because the real knowledge has been long lost and because people are not ready to assimilate the truth.

Some real esoteric schools became pseudo schools due to scandal related to the teaching and practice of the Arcanum A.Z.F. Such as with the yoga schools, that originally taught the Arcanum A.Z.F in the ashrams but due to abuse then scandal, the Arcanum A.Z.F was withdrawn to only be taught and practiced within the inner circle in secret, leaving the public to find an outer shell of the core yoga knowledge.

Schools that Crystallise soul

Schools that work to dissolve the psychological "I". Through the dissolution of the psychological "I" one develops soul. The instructor of such schools is one who ideally has created and possesses soul. His or her work is to lead the students to possess their souls and awaken their consciousness. It is taught that when one creates soul one can then awaken consciousness.

Schools that Crystallise Soul and Spirit

These are schools of regeneration. A school of regeneration is one that practices the three factors for the revolution of consciousness. A school where the Divine Alchemy is taught and practiced and the esoteric initiatic path is developed.

Gnosis is such a school and the 8 yogas were such schools back in the time when the Alchemy was a part of their curriculum.

Schools that teach how to crystallise soul and spirit are schools of regeneration that teach the three factors which are: psychological death, birth and sacrifice for humanity. Such schools lead to the full development of the human being.

Black Magic Schools

Schools that clearly teach the loss of the sexual energy and are devoted to the use of magical practices and ceremonies in various forms to advancing the cause of matter, that is money, power and sex.

When a school advocates the loss of the sexual energy and has practices around this, then without doubt according to Gnostic principles it is a black school. Even if there is a school with no knowledge of the sexual energy their members are losing the sexual energy and so they are black.

There are two types of black magic schools, those that know what they are and those that do not know. Those that know are those that are serious and dedicated and have knowledge but not being. Those that do not know may not want to strengthen the ego and develop the kundabuffer but through their methods, practices and beliefs they do.

Interesting School Notes

Gurdjieff said that it is difficult to find one schools that taught everything. He said that to learn philosophy one would have to go India, to learn theory to Egypt and to learn and develop practice to Persia, Turkey and the Middle East. Fourth Way school integrates all of these aspects.

Three Types of Churches

Three types of churches (just for personal knowledge not for the lecture)

1. Failed Church

2. Militant Church

3. Triumphant Church

See the links below to posts in this blog about the three churches.

Three Churches and Three Circles - 4037

Gnosis the Militant Church

Objectives

Two objectives of this talk:

The first objective is to introduce the fourth way as the way and how it functions and how it is practiced. The teaching of the four ways was originally presented by Gurdjieff as being the only way for a human being to evolve and develop of all its hidden possibilities. That is why we present this lecture on the four ways, because it is 'the way', the only way now, as all the religions and occult societies have now failed.

The second objective is to lay out on the table all the types of spiritual schools that exist. Then show where Gnosis as a school sits amongst them all.

Present the nature of the study and practice of Gnosis. Intelligent reference to what is studied in other schools can be made use of, to show how the Gnostic studies differ. Intelligent use means not to attack.

Present the objectives of the Gnostic studies. Intelligent reference can be made to the known objectives of other schools or spiritual movements to better highlight the objectives of Gnosis.

Basically it is a talk that is introducing Gnosis, giving the listener a clear and informed look into what one is to expect if one continues studying Gnosis. In terms of the nature (practical and esoteric) of the Gnostic knowledge, its aims, how it is practiced and how it will impact one's life, and what it leads one to become (a normal person on the outside with a normal external life but with a very deep and rich inner life perceived and illuminated by an awakened consciousness).

In short, this talk informs, captures the yearnings and aims to win the human and spiritual trust of the listener.

Check our Relationship with Our Being - (4626)

No doubt the average person ignores the relationship with their Being. Sometimes they are forced to take it into account on a superficial to medium depth level, when things are getting out of hand in their life.

That is not such a good relationship. Because it is a once in a while check-in. We feel as a result of the Gnostic studies, we need a very good relationship with our Being. Not a superficial one but a very deep one.

Any relationship is a value unto itself. As to have a good relationship, requires exercising or investing many high quality values, that combine into one, to form the quality of the relationship.

Accepting, trusting and having intense faith in our Being, are very high quality values that make a very good relationship with our Inner Being.

How are we relating to our Inner Being is the question. It is so good to ask this question to ourselves every morning.

Sure we see so many errors and many places where we are wayward and are not helping. On a deeper level, such a question makes us to feel that we need to relate well to our Being.

To relate well to our Being we need to remember It as much as we can and work for and with It, developing the qualities It needs, as quickly as we can, and as intensely as we can, so that those qualities become strong.

Our life shows us what It needs, as our life is It's reality. Our life is given to us by our Being - and our life affects all the parts of our Being, which includes us the human part and also the higher spiritual parts in all their levels.

End (4626).

We are Not, when our Attention is Not - (4625)

When we do not have mastery of our attention, we are nowhere. When we take possession of our attention then we can be. When we take possession, we come into being, into being present, into taking up representation of our Inner Being, upon the stage of life.

Conclusion, we have to strive for at least some minutes everyday without fail, to have mastery over our attention. Then strive for longer and longer periods of mastery over our attention.

End (4625)

Self-Remembering and Attention - (4624)

We just have to make self-remembering work for us.

The key we are told is our attention. We need to be able to put our attention on our Being and keep it there and after a while of keeping it there, we can perceive, feel and experience things that are not of the ordinary states of consciousness that we normally run our life with.

The key I repeat, is to know how to put our attention on our Being and keep it there.

To be awake as our degree of free consciouness allows us, we are told, means that our attention needs to cover what we are doing, our psychology and where we are. That is the start but it is not complete. We need to add the moment to that or better still our Being.

When I say our Being, I am not saying that image of the heavenly Father that we all have, a magician dressed in robes with a pointy hat up there in a temple somewhere, no not at all. I am referring to our very presence or capacity of being alive, present here in the physical world which indeed comes down from our own Being.

Put your attention on that as well as where we are, what we are doing and our psychology. That is then really complete. The key then is to keep it there. Our attention works like a flame on a stove. It takes several minutes to boil water on the stove because time is needed for the flames of the stove to heat the water to 100 degrees Celsius. As soon as the water boils vapours rise and things are different - some of the water begins to change state. The same with our attention and our state of consciousness.

In summary, put your attention without thinking on the three areas, then include the moment, then include the Being and do your high almighty best to keep it there without thinking, without the narration of your mind, then repeat and repeat working this until it becomes more and more natural.

We are told our Inner Being can help us much better when our attention is on It, and we are with it because our attention is on It. Our Being can communicate messages or impulses to us in Its own way...

End (4624).

Leave Reasoning and Comprehend Instead - (4622)

Usually what we do is attack others using reasoning, saying things like: "that was not thought out well, that was silly, wrong reasons, stupid reasons, why did you do that?". We use reasoning conditioned in duality to make or find what others do and say as wrong or right.

This use of reasoning only creates conflict with others and also within ourselves, because with all of our reasoning we still can't understand why a person said or did this or that.

The thing to do is to comprehend. Master Samael instructs us to stop reasoning and comprehend instead.

To comprehend is the beginning of peace...

Comprehension unifies and goes beyond duality: right and wrong, and understands why a person did or said that. When we do that we leave the mind behind and go to the heart and we become different people.

To comprehend is not to attack. It is put on the shoes of others and know and understand why.

Stop attacking with reasoning and understand. That is when the turn around in many situations will come, and that is also when our consciousness can come too!

Mind reasons and consciousness understands!

How to Know When You Are Serious - (4620)

We know we are serious about something when we deeply understand that every opportunity counts. Every decision, every action counts.

We are serious when we never let an opportunity to change, work or improve to pass us bye.

End (4620).

Humility is for the Path - (4619)

Humility is to accept our errors. To accept and know naturally what we have and don't have. When we accept naturally we don't feel anything negative or positive about what we don't have and do have.

In each person there is a lot of lacking and a lot acquired. To accept what is lacking and not feel inferior or upset or angry is humility.

Humility also recognises the consequences of lacking and generates action to consciously and in a balanced manner fill the lack.

The path is about filling in those lacks. The path mercilessly wishes that we fill those lacks. If we are missing the humility to answer the path's constant exposition of our faults and lacks we end up giving up.

The path is really for people who have humility.

End (4619).

Way to Make Decisions is: Convenient, Useful and Necessary - (4618)

The decisions we make shape our lives. The good decisions reap rewards for years into the future and the bad decisions do the same - leaving difficulties to be dealt with into the future.

Our future rests on the decisions we make today.

That is what troubles us the most - making decisions. Anyone's life on the path is about continually making decisions. We won't be able to avoid it.

There is duality at every corner of a person's path and that implies making decisions. There is duality outside of ourselves and duality inside of ourselves that we have to contend with.

There is life and the work, there are higher and lower values, there is ourselves and others, there is even the choice of one noble sacrifice over another, one good over another and one evil over another...

If we have a criteria by which to decide by - it is much easier to know what the right decision is. Going through with the decision is a matter of will and is another thing all together. But first we have to know the right decision.

When we are defined (we really want) to look after and progress the work of enhancing our essence and our inner Being, then the criteria or reference points of convenient, useful and necessary for our work, path and Being are the keys.

If we ask ourselves is that choice going to be convenient for my work? Will it make it easier? Will it harm it? Will it benefit it? If we can answer those questions to ourselves then we know what the right decision is.

We need to train ourselves to get better at actually following thorugh with the right decision. This does take work and is a work in itself.

The Risk of Working Physically for the Law - (4617)

From what Master Samael teaches, it seems that even though a police officer or judge carries out justice, some kind of karma can be accrued. That was the case with one of Master Samael's daughters. Where in a past existence she was a police man that caught and jailed Master Samael after he had committed a serious crime.

Even though Master Samael back then had committed a crime and was apprehended, he suffered greatly.  Perhaps explaining why karmic debts are incurred officers of the Law. The daughter who was that policeman, it was said gave Master Samael a lot of love, repaying back that debt.

An amazing thing really, because even though Master Samael was served justice, the policeman still incurred a debt with him. We don't know why, perhaps because the conditions in which Master Samael back then was arrested and jailed, were too harsh. We are not sure.

It just goes to show that some professions are really very risky karmically speaking. To be a police officer or a judge in the physical world and produce a wrong sentence trying to serve justice can have deep and far reaching karmic implications. That is why within Gnostic circles it was recommended to not be a lawyer especially one dealing with family issues. Where sometimes it is beyond our control to get involved in or somehow contribute to the suffering of others involved in such difficult processes that families go to court for.

Ego Steals and Inverts Values - (4616)

We know that at the core of each ego in us, there is a quality.

We know that this quality has been inverted. For example, anger. At the core of anger is force. With anger this force is used negatively, by going against ourselves and others.

Essentially in each ego a quality of our essence has been inverted, or in other words, become stuck in one polarity or side.

When a quality is stuck it is said to be botteled and that is what an ego is. Unfortunately when a quality is bottled it will always stay on that one side or polarity.

Before a quality becomes inverted it is stolen. The action of stealing values for other interests creates the ego.

For example, due to a fear or a desire we steal the value of force to help ourselves to protect that fear or satisfy that desire.

After stealing force so many times we end up fractioning a part of our essence's force and bottling it to be stuck in always performing the set function of protecting fear or satisfying desire. That is how we create all the different types of anger that we have.

For example, many men and women use the value of sexuality for reasons that do not have much to do with sexuality. Such as to acquire influence or power, money, an important favour, 'love', 'importance', 'control' etc.

This is how values are stolen and later the stolen values become inverted and then stuck.

Our work is to first do the opposite, that is generate actions which are of the opposite polarity of the stuck quality. This will begin to unbottle the quality. As the quality is more and more unbottled we then need to do the work of giving it the right use - which is to rescue it.

Centre of Gravity and Relationships - (4611)

A centre of gravity is expressed through a relationship of any kind, whether it be with a person, a job, a hobby, ourselves, even a pet.

A centre of gravity is a quality that a relationship can acquire.

For a relationship to acquire this quality the elements of a centre of gravity must be invested into the relationship. These elements are always: time, energy and attention and the cause is either love or necessity.

People in a relationship, often unknowingly, make their centre of gravity the relationship, both in life and in Gnosis.

Human beings make their centre of gravity to be something or someone because of love for that something or someone. Whether that be conscious love or another type of love that is less conscious.

When we use a less conscious form of love we create a centre of gravity mechanically.

When we work consciously with love, we are able to chose our centre of gravity. When working for our self realisation, we use conscious love to make our centre of gravity to be our Real Inner Being.

When two human beings in a relationship make their relationship the centre of gravity, certain characteristics become visible. Some of these characteristics can be clearly seen when the relationship is given priority over the many options that are presented. Another characteristic is that decisions are always made to benefit the relationship and another is that time and energy are mostly spent for the relationship.

When people have their centre of gravity outside of themselves, such as in another person or in a relationship, they create a base in the other person. That's why when a person in the relationship falls ill or the relationship ends, one or both of them will feel lost, hopeless etc. This is also why people feel so affected by what the other person says and does, because the centre of gravity amplifies everything, making the other persons actions so important to us.

A centre of gravity always forms a foundation for the person. The work is the best foundation because after a while it becomes one with us and it can never leave us. But when we have our foundation in something outside of us, it will one day leave us and we will be inevitably lost.

Solving problems and always trying to make the relationship better, is what keeps us so busy, engaged in lots of talking and using our mind to solve or improve things. This unavoidably makes our centre of gravity to become the relationship. Which for any Gnostic person is inconvenient, as then the work on themselves stops.

An alchemical relationship is for the Being, however it is not the Being. To make the relationship the centre of gravity instead of our Being, causes a lot of pain and suffering. An alchemical relationship only becomes useful for the path, when the centre of gravity of both people in the relationship, is the Being.

What the focus should be, is making the work of the two people in the couple, to work. Not making the relationship to work. There will always be differences and both people in reality have to come to terms with living with their differences and respecting the differences.

In a Gnostic couple when the centre of gravity is the work, both people think, feel and act by virtue of the work. The work is always with them and they constantly relate to each other through the work.

Consideration then Communication - (4615)

Communication is a middle value, it is not as such an orginator or motivator value.

Communication is a value that supports or expresses an originator value.

To just concentrate on communication can be good, however it can produce half-half results when an originator value is missing.

If we have consideration for others, we will use the value of communication to assist others.

The lesson learnt is to concentrate on the orginator and receiver value of communication.

End (4615).

High Quality Control Standards is the Path - (4614)

This analogy is useful to understand the unique nature of the path.

The strict, high quality control standards of the path, set it a part from so many other 'paths'.

We are taught that passing the quality standard set before us, allows us to advance.

We learn that the path is about quality, qualifying, refining, purifying to the degree necessary, to open the doors to advance.

Ultimately the path represents and protects the Divne in us. It demands from us by Science, that to join the Being we must pass the quality standard of being as the Being is.

Life is easy because the innate, ethical and intimate personal quality standards are low. In the path they are high.

If we always demand high quality of ourselves in the ethical nature of our inner and outer behaviour, we will be able to align with the nature of the path.

End (4614).

In Honour of the Divine Family - (4613)

In times gone past there was that sense of honour for the family. Where that sense of honour would stop someone from acting dishonourably in the so many ways human beings can.

Now days that sense does not exist. People just act dishonourably and don't concern themselves with the consequences this has for their family name or for the feelings and image of the members of their family.

We need this sense physically and where it is of greatest use is to us is when we internalise it.

Internalising this sense we think, feel and act honourably so that our Divine Mother will not be trampled upon when She is summoned by the Divine Law to account for our actions.

End (4613).

Division of Attention Integration Paradox - (5328)

We know that to awaken we must be aware of our attention and using it consciously.

We know that when our consciousness falls asleep, it is because our attention has been taken away and is on something else.

The key to being aware of our attention is to watch it, which means to divide our attention.

One part watching where it is focused and one part focussing on something, such as the activity we are taking part in.

So we think, ok 50% on watching and 50% on whatever we are doing. Wrong!

100% on both watching and doing. How? By integrating the attention to cover both or even three elements such as ourselves, place and what we are doing.

This is a paradox, but that is how our consciousness works - by paradox. Divide our attention by integrating it over two or three or more aspects.

End (5328).

Spying is the Way - (4612)

Spying on ourselves is the best way to change. Spying means to be following ourselves in a defect.

Spying means constant intense observation never letting what we are spying on to escape.

Basically if we let a defect go for a while we lose the trail and we have to start over again.

A lot of us like to monitor the weather, a country's state of affairs, a war, the news etc. In spying we use the same function but make it internal.

End (4612).
