Common Modern Tantra is Grey - (3937)

Nearly all of the tantra that is out there and available to people to learn about in workshops and retreats and things like that is grey.

Grey means people retain the sexual energy but then at other times lose it.

White means to never lose the sexual energy and the energy is transmuted for the purpose of union with God, with the Being

Black means the constant loss of the seminal entity for any reason, whether it be pleasure or magical/esoteric.

Black or white tantra may start out at grey. Continuing in grey will end in black, or the results will be the same but less intense. As we know in all areas of life, sitting on the fence leads to 'no-where'.

Of course there are degrees and degrees of grey. There are some tones of grey that approach black and then there are some that approach white.

The tantra that is popular everywhere is grey in the sense that people transmute the sexual energy and retain it or transmute the energy and lose or simply lose it without transmutation.

In grey or gray tantra what is constant is the reason to keep it but what is variable are the reasons to lose it. Indicating a lack of definition and seriousness, which is what one would expect from something grey (half-half or undefined).

Grey tantra has the tantric teachings as a base and also a certain wisdom and philosophy which is above the ordinary knowledge of life, sexuality, energy and even the spirit.

However, I don't fully trust their wisdom and philosophy as they do not talk about the dissolution of the "I", and the "I" knows no limits, it infiltrates everything, even the sacred.

The "I's" of lust and fornication basically refine and morph themselves into the world of tantra.

In grey tantra or modern tantra you will not find the initiatic path or the way to the Being.

If one has the teachings clear about the transmutation and the dissolution of the "I" one will detect where their wisdom and philosophy skews into the grey and into the esoteric field that is both unrealistic and over romantic - precisely where many "I's" of desire hide themselves..

End (3937).
