Gnostic Esoteric Study & Work Aids

You know the teaching that when the energy in one centre has been consumed that to keep going it takes energy from the other centres which in turn means taking energy from the sexual centre. The issue is that the centres then function with an energy that is not appropriate to them. Just like a plane can not function properly with the fuel that a car uses. When the intellectual centre is using energy or fuel that is not its proper fuel, the intellectual energy is very unbalanced to the agitated and jumpy side. It is difficult to concentrate and the intellectual centtre feels very viscous. It is not so easy to extract work out of it.  So when we notice a centre not working as smoothly as it usually does, that could well be the case that we have overused one centre and our centres are working with energies that are not proper to them. I think that this is the best way to describe maturity of the essence.  It is a very comprehensive understanding of creation, life, people and the way things work. That makes a person flexible yet strong and also ready to meet the challenges of life and the spiritual work with the approach that is needed, orthodox or unorthodox whichever is needed to be taken.   End (4565).

It is difficult to wrestle with the idea of not being important to others, especially those we love etc. However, if we are to reflect on what we will gain.  In truth to become more objective in our perception and to create much more space for ourselves for our real Being inside of us we need to drop that sense of self-created importance.  That is the reason and the way is to sacrifice it.  Our own awakening takes steps forward in accordance to how much we are willing to sacrifice these inner false creations. We are really helped when keeping this false self-created sense of importance brings us so much pain that we just then have to sacrifice it to not suffer anymore. That is a big help really that comes from our Being through our Typhon Baphomet. End (4564).

We need to affirm the values of our Inner Being within our psyche. Affirm the Inner Being, affirm the trust in the Inner Being, affirm the faith in the Inner Being, affirm the trust in super-sexuality etc. etc. The constant conscious repeating of affirmations using our external and inner word closes gaps of distrust, doubt and uncertainty within our psyche.  Consciously using affirmations also allows the mind the chance to 'protest' so to speak. Then we can see what the mind, in its conditioning, has of the opposite to the value . Then we can go to work in freeing that conditioning. Skepticism is nothing but a conditioning of our mind.  It is really a good thing to know that skepticism is a conditioning the mind. Another thing is actually work to liberate the mind from the conditioning. End (4563).

Failure is often the origin of so many negative states. It is, I believe a critical thing to understand in life - how to transform failure and to know for real, that many 'failures' are not failures. It may happen that your memory one day opens up for a few seconds and you may remember a time when something of your Inner most for a reason you never knew why, failed you. Just as if you were climbing a mountain and for no apparent no reason your legs gave way, but in this case it was something from inside, a strength from the soul or Inner Being that failed. Anyway this failure can have such an impact that it creates something in the psyche where from that moment on we doubt, we distrust, even become resentful, and in time come to hate the Inner Being in us and there begins the distinct separation and distancing from the inner worlds and inner life into the outside world and the senses: personality, mind and ego. A person just sitting or lying down by themselves and sincerely transmuting their energies is actually doing something very merit worthy. They are preparing an offering that goes up to their higher Divine Parts.  Symbolically, it may be seen as the person who is practicing, is preparing a salad or a plate of food which when made floats upwards and then vanishes as it enters into the higher dimensions. Indicating that every practice done sincerely nourishes our Inner Being. In conclusion we should never stop ourselves from doing a practice. Because every practice gives us merit and pays for something and is an offering to our Divinity and to the Divine Law. When we are in difficult times we MUST continue practicing and even step it up. We believe in certain areas that we are weak and incapable. That belief then acts through our subconscious conditioning or depressing our body. The body is generally not weak. It is the mind that thinks weak. If we have a physical or medical condition the body can be weak because of that illness etc. But if we are healthy the body is not weak, it is capable. Our body maybe ill but at least we can change our thoughts to not think weak. When we need to be strong we see that beliefs of various egos of weakness identity such as self-compassion believe us and wish us to be weak. But our body is not. We have to say to ourselves repeatedly inside of ourselves with lots of trust and faith that we are not weak and our psychology is not weak to break down those beliefs that we are weak.  To be weak is to always fall short and be suffering. The motivation to not be weak is to not suffer and to not fall into error and then reaping the same negative consequences. End (4557).

Being alert inside of ourselves and not making any judgments in our mind about anything that we see or hear prevents unnecessary egoic processes starting inside of our mind and emotion. In other words it stops the egos from taking manifestation inside of our mind. But in life we always have to come to chose a side in duality. We do this by pondering carefully, not by mechanically judging. We have many judgements already existing inside of ourselves, which the mind automatically goes to and we judge mechanically. We also have to watch creating new judgements because they become solid and fixed in our mind. When we apply this key we can be neutral with others and we can feel positive and so start to feel freer around others. End (4559).

A great task for ourselves is to give ourselves one week to work hard noticing and dropping all negative thoughts. A real worthy task for ourselves and those around us. End (4556).

If we think we are here to be perfect we have lost the plot.  So many times if things are not perfect in our spiritual work or activities or what people present and so we abandon them. Which is plain silly. We are here really in much more truth - to transform things.  If an activity or something starts off bad then work to transform it. Life in this world has very little of perfection in it. What counts is that we take what life brings and transform it into something useful for the essence and spirit inside of us. The human personality will never be perfect, never! Accept it! Only the Being is! Wanting and waiting for prefect means we will always be disappointed and consequently doing no activity because our imperfect mind wants perfect, and consequently we end up being very very far away from the work of getting closer to the perfection of our Inner Being. To fix something we just have to see what's wrong. To see what's wrong is the hard bit. To see what's wrong we need to face and observe ourselves in the heated critical moments. To see we need to allow what's there to come up and then capture it and transform, neutralize, do the opposite (all valid) of what we see. To see, we can't be adding more layers on top. For example, we wan't to stop arguments, having more arguments or spending more time receiving complaining or protesting impressions makes us more blind.  End (4560).

Introduction This post is a collection of notes on the topic of erasing self-importance. Notes It is the sense of importance concerning ourselves that we define as self-importance. Emphasis on that - 'our personal sense of importance'. It is not the sense that others give us it is our own self-made sense. Everyone until they work on it carries around with them a sense that their person is important. Our sense of personal importance is something that we ourselves over time have fabricated. So dissolving self-importance is dissolving the false structure of importance that we have made for ourselves. This is important to understand - we are dissolving our own false fabrication. Plus that fabrication is made up of several concepts and beliefs that we have over time strengthened. These concepts are also mistaken, which we come to understand as we find then and analyze them. When we do something for the love of it ,we are in and from the heart. We don't usually do something for the love of it. We do something to get something, whether it be physical or psychological. The path and the Spirit work that way - because they are all about being. To do something for the love of it without the result, we are being love, we are inline with the essence of that thing we are loving and doing. To do something for the result is not always the Being, it can be mind or some ego. The mind can not sustain doing something for the love of it. Only the heart truly can. In other words we are in the work for our Inner Being because of our heart. The heart knows that to arrive at something of the Inner Being we need to 'be' that something. It also knows that we need to love it, and loving it we are unifying with it. For our work we need lots of; 'for the love of it'. End (4554).

For the efficacy of the practice of Alchemy, one has to be renounce personal interest in the practice. That way we can dedicate it as much as we possible to the Inner Being in us. When personal interests drop aside then we practice for our Inner Being and then our Being can really take all he benefits of the practice. This applies to any practice...meditation, astral unfolding, death of the ego etc. We increase the purity and quality of the practice renouncing to personal interests. End (4555).

The mind can kill the impulses and movements of the heart. Quite easily and frequently. Basically using the hammer of practical concerns and by bringing to the table a thousand other 'considerations' (distractions). We have to remember that the path and the work is the path of the merits and values of the heart in action. It is not about the mind in action. That is for life and matter! Not for the Spirit The heart does not kill the mind or the mind's ideas. If those ideas be noble it gives them strength and support and if they not be noble the heart leaves them be. Life in some way or another is about wining or earning our place. I think we all know this at subconscious or conscious level. Sometimes we don't need to win or earn any place, it is given and sometimes rightly so, it isn't, we must earnt it. For example, we don't graduate from medical school and straight away take up the post of head of surgery.  People knowing that they have to win a place, try to win a place by using two ways. There are many ways but they all come under these two ways which are: winning people's minds or winning people's hearts. People who try by winning people's minds do so by arguing, protesting, bringing contradictions and apparent unfairness to light, attacking what is currently in place and by presenting the logical and often by applying a bit of coercion to force the logical (which can be the logical seen by all and sometimes it is just their 'logical'). A person awakens one day. Later that person awakens a friend. The two awaken a fellow man. The three awaken can then rouse a little township from its slumber. Later a roused township can create such a disturbance so as to awaken a people.  See just what one awaken person can do... End (4550).

Good to know the difference between each of these three aspects. Love is the superior of all three. Superior to feelings and attraction. It is really a state of consciousness...  Attraction depends on the physical. On physical vibrations, on the wavelengths of these vibrations, on the level of fluids in the physical body. In other words it is very physical and it is a very common phenomena. Everyone feels attraction quite often and often it is mistaken for love... and sometimes when attraction goes, the 'love' that was felt to be real goes too. Feelings are above attraction, because they are seated in a dimension higher than the physical. They are inspired by the ethical, the moral, and have many elements of a noble and spiritual nature. However, as we all know feelings come and go. One day they are there and the next gone. Feelings are also very dependent on circumstances. Love as a state of consciousness is not dependent on people, circumstances, one's own body and one...

So that we don't do those things again. So that we know ourselves. So that we know our own abyss, and what we really have waiting there. So that we know whether we love or not... So that we know whether we are loyal, patient, noble or not... So that we can remove a mark embedded on our Being's imprint in life. Mystical death is really something emotional converted into action that says: "never again". When we really know why we are very close to not doing it again. End (4547).

We have often heard that love is the antidote to lust. Indeed it is.  Other values such as trust and faith, help immensely also. Because we need to trust in supra-sexuality to embrace it. We need to embrace it for it to really work its magic inside of ourselves for our Inner Being. We know that lust is sexuality devoid of the spirit and love, and that a sexuality (Alchemy) practiced with love and the spirit dissolves lust - conquers all. The question I have always asked myself is a particular one, and it is how does that love that dissolves lust in combination with sexuality really work or look like inside a person. Here's something. A love that brings all the brains into one. A love that makes all the brains work for it and in it. A love that does not leave one centre out, namely the sexual centre. That is what we need to be - strong of heart. Headstrong is not all that good for the path and relationships. Headstrong attacks and is unforgiving and relentless. Headstrong uses the doctrine, the rules, the principles, the laws etc. to support its attack. Often the headstrong do not attack because of the rules being broken but because of some other hidden psychological factor... Heart strong is forgiving and does not attack. But is flexible and possesses comprehension. Where the result of that comprehension is the good of the other.  The heart says is better that the person keep their natural positive state so that they enjoy their work, their life, themselves, so that they will continue forward and as they continue they will correct their ways. The heart corrects with warmth so that correct course is taken without disheartenment and loss of hope. The headstrong enforces the logical to the detriment of the emotions of others. The strong of heart combines the emotion and intellect...

To unify with an event is a conscious act.  When we unify with an event we experience the 'flow of life' moving through that event. The 'flow of life' moving through an event is what is important, not us.  When we are self-important we try to control the event, but what is designed or really meant to happen is made to happen by the 'flow of life' which is set by the  forces from 'above'. In some cases to unify with an event is an act of mystical death. It is to die in self-importance. When we unify with an event for sure resistance and contradiction disappears. In some cases to unite means to reconcile two opposites...  Fully accepting our reality that we are in the event and giving up any kind of egotistical will and wishing to be fully present we can find the 'flow of life' and then we can unify with the event and be at peace in the event. Once we are consciously unified with the event our consciousness creates or brings its 'flow of life...

We can't be in the present moment when we have issues to solve in our mind... We keep issues in our mind because we regard them as being important... To allow the mind to let those issues go, we have to, there is no other way, but to tell ourselves that those issues are not important! The mind protests: "how are they not important when it concerns my safety, my well-being, my livelihood, my (fill in the blanks - whatever is important to you) etc.". But we have to let those issues in our mind go - when we really want to remember ourselves and activate our consciousness... To let issues go from our mind is not the same as letting the real thing go. It is just letting go of the dialogue in our mind about the thing. For example, our health is an important issue to us, it is not letting pour health go, it is letting the dialogue in our mind about our health go. The paradox is, once we have let them go we can then solve them. Because our very good friend - our own consciousness...

We pass through every event for a reason! Most of the time we are able to see the physical and even psychological reasons for why we pass through certain events.  We are often not aware of the deep psychological reasons...  It is so enlightening and eye opening for us to know the deep psychological reasons why we pass through certain events. There is an esoteric reason for why we pass through certain events as well. It is precisely the esoteric reason that we very often don't see. When we are aware of the very deep psychological reason/s why we pass through any given event we are closer to seeing the esoteric reason. Sometimes the esoteric reason is very related to the deep psychological reason and sometimes the deep psychological reason is related to only a part of the esoteric reason.
