Focusing Consciousness on Itself Strengthens it (269)

Attention

As we have said before consciousness and attention are very much linked and the consciousness is exercised when we focus it on something using our attention.

A Key to Intensify Consciousness

There is a key to intensify one’s consciousness and it is to focus our consciousness on itself. This works to intensify the power of the same consciousness.

When one actually does this one feels an increase in awareness, an increase in alertness and knowledge of oneself. Also one’s vision and senses intensify as well.

Consciousness Obeys the Laws of Light

Master Samael said that consciousness obeys the same laws as light does. So a laser is basically a very intense beam of light that has been focused and intensified. So we can do the same with our consciousness following the same procedure or laws.

A laser beam is created by focusing light into a cavity where bye it bounces off reflective walls repeatedly until the reflected light comes into wavelength sync with the other beams of reflected light. So the laser beam is the result of focussing light on itself inside a very small space. So if we do the same act of focusing our consciousness back onto itself this effort or action intensifies the same light of our consciousness.

Conclusion

Experiment with this putting your attention on your own awareness or consciousness and observe silently what happens. If you do it right you will observe an increase in awareness.

End (269).

Consciousness and Attention (268)

Attention

Consciousness and attention are very much linked.

Our consciousness is where our attention is. If we put or focus our attention onto something our consciousness is there. With our consciousness focused on something or our attention on something our consciousness begins to see, understand, become aware and reveal information and truths about the object that we are focusing our attention on.

Consciousness is in Your Mind and “Put your Mind to it!”

People say put your mind to something and you will achieve it. That is true because when we put our mind onto something we put our attention onto it and therefore our consciousness. With our consciousness focussed on something the consciousness with its magic supplies all the creativity, invention, conviction and force to work so to achieve our goals.

Conclusion

Our consciousness is a light or a light bulb if you will, and is something that can be focused and only really works when it is focused. Consciousness is light that allows one awareness and immediate ccognizance If we want to know something we just have to focus our attention onto something and then the light of our consciousness will reveal or make us to see what is needed or wanted.

Arrogance Certainly Never Pays (267)

It Pays with Humiliation

Well arrogance does pay, but only with humiliation. In fact the price for being arrogant is humiliation.

We think in the moment that we are above being humiliated though later on down the track something happens beyond our control and we get humiliated.

We can get sick, family or friends can get sick or die, we can lose our job, someone can crash into us and we can humiliated by someone superior to us. You know there are always people above us, always.

Arrogance Costs

Arrogance really has a high price, we can be arrogant but know that it costs and either very soon or a little while down the track we will be charged and the currency in which we will be charged with will be humiliation.

In other words when we are arrogant we run up a charge against our dignity. We may have a lot of dignity and so we can afford certain degrees of arrogance but if we have little dignity, the charge of arrogance against our dignity can be quite high, meaning we suffer humiliation quite painfully.

Cause of Arrogance is Ignorance of our Real Condition

When we are arrogant we forget our short comings, our past failures, we forget that we hurt, that we are also hurt, that we have weaknesses to and that we may not be any better being in the same situation. Overall we forget to put ourselves in their shows, we basically forget that we are the same or have been the same or will be the same in the future.

Conclusion

Be really careful not to be arrogant because it will hurt later and being arrogant shows our selfishness and our ignorance of the truth and that truth is that we are all one. We are the same or have been the same at one point or will be the same at one point in the future.

A Spiritual Warrior or a Saint? (266)

Introduction

Personally I had a big aversion to the possibility of becoming a saint. I thought erroneously that the work makes one a saint. Well it does make one a saint but it depends on what we call a saint or rather what we think a saint is.

It is usually our own concept of what a saint is that we reject. We don’t want to become the concept that we have. Because we are not saints, we don’t have an idea of what it is really like to be a saint.

Erroneous Concepts

One can have a concept of a saint as being the holy person walking around in a monastery always in prayer with his or her hands joined together pointing upward towards the heights. The persona of a saint fitting more or less this appearance may appeal to people or may not appeal to people.

Anyway the truth in the end is that as we work on ourselves we become more and more the Being, and the Being is the Being, He is not a saint, nor a hero, nor a magician or anything but Himself. However, just to confuse you more He has within him these qualities of a saint, hero, magician etc. that he in creation can manifest but He is not them He is beyond them.

If we are to Take an Identity

If we are to stray away from our false identity or personality and adopt one of the work, it would be more advantageous to adopt one that you are happy with. I think personally think that a spiritual warrior is more advantageous.

As a gnostic your identity is more like that of a spiritual warrior than that of a saint. We are at war with the ego for many years and only when the ego is almost dissolved to come to be more like mystics or saints. Remember Hercules in the second mountain, he is still a warrior. It wasn’t until the ninth labour of Hercules that he rested and stopped becoming a warrior.

Though the best identity and the truest one is that of your Being.

Conclusion

This post may not be useful to everyone but I hope that it has shed some light on the identities we can falsely create, assume and even think we have to assume then and then because we don’t like come into internal conflict with the work on ourselves and therefore come into conflict with Gnosis, i.e. the Gnostic Teachings.

As mentioned earlier the best identity to take is that of the Being and or the consciousness, though the closest identity that describes our work is that of a spiritual warrior, because we are working hard to try and conquer our karma, our egos and the higher levels if Being.

Stagnation Due to a Lack of Definition (265)

Introduction

If you are ever stagnated in dissolving an ego check how your definition for the Being and the path is going. Your stagnation could be due to a lack of definition. You may still be wanting something from life and so subconsciously you keep this ego alive, hoping that it will be able to one day provide you with that thing from life that you want or think that you need.

Holding onto the Ego for a Reason

When we work on an ego and manage to live without it for a while but later fall back into it, swinging as a pendulum would from working to identifying with that ego there is a something that is stagnating us. There is some special factor there that we have to discover so to be able to go ahead in its dissolution.

That special factor is usually a reason of some sort, a reason for why we are not letting that ego go, a reason why we still find that ego useful. There could in reality be many reasons but the reason I am proposing now is that it could be due to a lack of definition.

There is still something from life that we want and working on that ego going towards the Being we think will mean that we can’t get what we want. We need that ego to go and get what we want and also to get what the ego wants.

The Problem is we Want What the Ego Wants

The problem is really that we and the ego want the same thing. When we separate from the ego and we want something different to the ego then the whole situation changes in us. We may think that we don’t want the ego but the truth is there is something in your subconscious that wants what the ego wants.

Renounce

We have to find out what we really want and then go and let go of those things that we and the ego want thus defining ourselves for one side, in this case the work and the Being. Knowing that the ego is wrong and that getting what the ego wants will only ruin us and that in the Being we can get what we really want in a more edifying and dignifying and truer way.

For example, we may want money, true we are not going to get heaps of money in the Being but we will get what we want the money for. We always want money for something, perhaps for security, for prestige, for praise, for luxuries, for comfort etc. Well we can get the spiritual version of all of those things in the Being and in the work.

Conclusion

Dissolving the ego is about definition and definition is a decision which involves the letting go of one thing to grab onto another thing. There is death in definition and renunciation as well.

Surrendering to the Being (264)

Introduction

In this post I want to address this topic from a practical and very specific point of view.

Imagine a Line

Imagine you are with your parents and they offer you with all the support you need to complete your studies and establish yourself in your chosen career. And so before you, you see a line - a future, all that you have to do is to do your part, study, pass exams and find a job and we will reap our reward and so will our parents.

However there is something rebellious inside of ourselves that does not want to be in that line because in that line it knows that it won’t be able to pursue its desires.

Our Situation

Our internal situation with our Being is exactly like that. With the work on ourselves and with the help of the Being and the Divine Mother a line extends before us from ourselves to the Being. All we have to do is to make sincere efforts to die in ourselves, to transmute and to teach others the work towards the Being.

Following such a line will give us peace, fulfillment, satisfaction, consciousness, wisdom, love, all manner of virtues and knowledge and the Being eventually.

The Ego Reels

As we know the ego does not want that it wants to stay separate from the Being so that it can with full freedom pursue its interests. The ego of lust wants us separate from the Being so that it can continue to fornicate and as freely as it wants, but on the path that has to stop.

Surrender to the Being is Then to Let Go and Accept that Line

So then the surrender to one’s Being is to surrender to that line, and to all the wonderful things it will bring and to let go of the ego that wants to take us far from that line and keep us as we are and of course further degenerate us.

Conclusion

Feel the benefits of that line and feel the angst of the ego and surrender your desires to the Divine Mother for her to destroy, don’t protect them with distance and separation and accept the life that the Being has in store for you. Walk that line forgetting the unfulfilled desires of the ego and feel constantly the happiness of what that line will offer you.

All your desires in the Being will be transformed or fulfilled.

A Gnostic View on Affirmations (263)

Introduction

Affirmations have been mentioned many times. Susan Jeffers mentioned affirmations in her book “Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway” many times over. One affirmation that she found very useful was “I can handle it”. She claimed that this affirmation and many others are powerful and very useful in overcoming fear or at least making fear to somewhat subside.

This post explains why affirmations can be powerful from the Gnostic perspective and how and why they work.

What is an Affirmation?

An affirmation is simply a sentence - a string of words nothing more. That is intended to repeated to one’s self many multiples of times.

A true affirmation is really a sentence that expresses a truth. This truth may be one that we have experienced or one that we have taught or even one that we have been given to use so as to one day realise the truth in it and behind it.

It is though in all the cases and types, the goal of an affirmation is to strengthen, cultivate and activate something within oneself. Even a mantra is a kind of affirmation.

We certainly have the power to change our self it is in applying the work and in the sexual energy, and of course in our Being, in particular the Divine Mother.

What do they Affect in us?

An affirmation may affect many things in us, however the common thing that they affect in us is our mind or our psyche or psychology. If an affirmation is practiced properly it should affect our subconscious. That is modify our subconscious, break down our belief in one or more subconscious factors. It should ideally show us that the beliefs and reasons that we have lurking in our subconscious to be wrong.

Of course though an affirmation can increase, heighten our morale, our understanding and even our consciousness. Basically affirmation affect our internal state and our internal state reflects our actions and reactions and so if done deeply enough they can impact aspects of our life.

Why do they Work?

The only reason why they would work is because of our own understanding and consciousness. If we deeply understand those words or truth in the affirmation the affirmation will work, but if we are not conscious of those words at all, they will not work or will have very little effect on us.

Sometimes it is just enough to say the affirmation once and that brings out our previous understanding and realisation of a truth that it creates a new internal state for us, displacing or diminishing the feeling on an ego in us.

Conclusion

We can have affirmations as many as we like. To make them effective and truly useful to us we must understand them and be conscious of what they express.

“I am an essence” is a good confirmation that helps us to not get identified with the ego, that is to not lose our identity to the ego, to continually keep our identity as the essence. But if we do not know that we are the essence this affirmation will be totally useless. We will end sounding like a hippy if we repeat this affirmation to ourselves and others without being conscious of it.

The Power of the Internal Word! (262)

Introduction

We need to use the power of our internal word to battle the ego, especially when it is in our subconscious and it manifests strongly urging us to act.

Fights with the Ego

When the ego really comes up strong in us and wants to manifest to get what it wants, we can either just allow it and go with it or we can chose a different way, the way of the work and the Being, which will may well lead us into direct conflict with the ego.

Reason Makes the Internal Word Powerful

In that case we need a way to fight the ego, we need a weapon. When we have reasons not to go with the ego we have a weapon, but it is one thing to have a weapon and entirely different thing is to know how to use the weapon. This post is about using eh weapon of the internal word, which is no more than our powerful reasons.

The internal word would be useless if the reasons we have to not go with the ego were weak. The more powerful are our reasons the more power our internal word has.

Ego in the Subconscious

When the ego is rooted in our subconscious we need to apply this key of using the power of our internal word. This key works quite well in these cases.

When the ego is rooted in the subconscious it is powerful because we do not fully know why the ego wants what it wants and we don’t clearly see reasons why it wants what it wants and further why we should not go with it.

Ego Attacks

When the ego attacks we need to counteract it verbalising internally as if they were a mantra our very good reasons not to go with the ego. Verbalising and understanding the truths we have previously discovered about the ego and what it wants to do.

Counteract the logic of the ego with these reasons, until they lose force and the force of those reasons become the dominant force in you, this for now subduing the ego.

When the ego next attacks we have to use our internal word once again to defeat it once again and so on and so until the ego remains known, comprehended, discovered and without it hypnotic power.

Conclusion

Use the power of your internal word when the ego attacks. The power of your internal word is in the truth of your comprehension, understanding and knowledge of that ego. Repeat your reasons and discovered truths over and over again in your mind until the attack of the ego subsides.

The Divine Mother Can Wake Us Up Physically! (261)

Introduction

If you have ever been worried about how much you should sleep or not sleep, just go to sleep after our practices are all done and then ask the Divine Mother to wake you up. Put the rhythm of your practices in her hands.

She Works

Lo and behold she will certainly wake you up a time for you to practice and get yourself ready.

I am trying to do this, trust in Her and put my work schedule in her hands. Sometimes She can wake you up very early, co-operate with it and do your practices and whatever other chore you need to fulfill.

Conclusion

Try it really works, I have heard that others have had many good results with this as well.

The Key to Whiten the Waters (260)

Introduction

Master Samael gave humanity to key to whiten their sexual waters and to thus move from the black waters of infrasexuality to the white waters of Alchemy or suprasexuality. There are the four colours of Alchemy, black, white, yellow and red.

Black to White

Transitioning to white is really the first confirmation of having entered, in a stable way, into suprasexuality. The white waters are a result of very responsible transmutation combined with the yearning for the Being.

Conclusion

One then whiten their waters by transmuting, never losing the sexual energy and then yearning for the Being, making the sexual act a a prayer and yearning deeply, intensely for the energy to rise up one’s spine into the brain and down to the heart so that the Being can take this energy for his self-realisation and that this act of transmutation brings us closer to the Being in other to Him.

End (260).

The Key for Suprasexuality (259)

Introduction

To enter into and cultivate suprasexuality one needs love. Why? Because infrasexuality is characterised by sex devoid of love. So if we combine transmutation with love we enter into suprasexuality.

Elements of Suprasexuality

There are some basic elements of suprasexuality. One is transmutation of the sexual energy, another one is love and the other one is the Being, the Spirit. Without these three elements our sexual practice lacks really being that of suprasexuality.

Conclusion

So if we love something either the Being and our spouse and we practice the transmutation then we begin to enter into suprasexuality.

Infrasexuality and the Fragmentation of Sexuality (258)

Introduction

Infrasexuality or infrasexual are certainly terms that in the beginning surprise one to hear them, mainly because we may never thought of sexuality as having a superior and inferior classification to it. However, after some time reflecting on the subject it becomes clear that there are different types of sexuality. Some that seem healthy and others that are not.

Definition of Infrasexuality

Master Samael I believe gives an excellent definition of infrasexuality. He essentially describes it as being sexuality devoid of love and sexuality trapped in sensations, senses and matter.

Curious Observation Regarding Infrasexuality

There is one curious observation regarding infrasexuality and that is that there are many facets to it. That is, it is characterised by fragmentation, infrasexuality seems to be the fragmentation of sexuality into the various combinations of sex and other things such as drugs, alcohol, violence, money etc. that do not have anything to do with sex. So in a nutshell infrasexuality is the fragmentation of sexuality.

It is amazing how sexuality fragments into an inverted tree, that is the inverted tree of infrasexuality. Furthermore, there seems to be a very distinct set of fractioning of human sexuality into infrasexuality. There seems to be a set number of classes or facets or fragments to infrasexuality that all human beings fall gravitate to or fall into.

The very interesting thing on the other hand is that there is no fragmentation to suprasexuality. Suprasexuality is just one, there is no fragmentation there but only union.

Why this Fragmentation?

This fragmentation exists because our psychology is fragmented, and the origin of our fragmented psychology is in the various concepts that we have. I can’t say too much more about this, I have to investigate and reflect further to be able to say something much more accurate and true.

Anyhow our sexuality is like our psychology, when our psychology is fragmented our sexuality is fragmented and when our psychology is more and more united and whole then the same with out sexuality.

A Fragment of Sexuality in Every Event in Life

If sexual energy or sexuality is the base of life then that implies that sexuality and sexual energy is in everything in life. Then there is a part of our sexuality that acts or manifests or is present in each event of life. In other words, we could say that there is a sexual counterpart (of course is extraordinarily subtle for normal events like catching a bus etc.) to each aspect of life.

Therefore imagine then that infrasexuality is these little parts of our sexuality that are devoted to helping us in the many events of life gone astray or wrong or blown way out of proportion in the sexual side. Infrasexuality in its fragmentation is the sexualisation of other things that do not have much to do with sex, such as business, money, drinking, car racing, fighting, pain, eating food, etc. etc.

However supra sexuality unites all the sexual parts into one life and gives the right proportion of healthy sexual energy to every event in life and does not sexualise anything that should not be sexualised, such as money, gambling, alcohol, car racing etc.

Conclusion

Infrasexuality is fragmentation of our sexuality, just as the many “I’s” fragment tour psychology. Suprasexuality is the unification of sexuality into one. There are no apparent facets to superior sexuality. Therefore when one earnestly practices Alchemy or suprasexuality their sexuality gradually becomes one. While those who practice infrasexuality have a fragmented sexuality.

Main Reasons Why we Hoard (257)

Three Reasons why we Hoard

1.) Someone gave it to us, sentimental value. Giving or throwing it away is to throw the beloved person away.

2.) Will need it later. It come to be handy later on and I will regret having thrown it away.

3.) It was a great deal, three for the price of one. It had to be taken advantage of.

Conclusion

The basic reason is that we place a value on these things. And we can’t do away with it because of that value.

Creating a Line of Work on the Ego – A Project (256)

Introduction

We have to make the work on the ego like a project. Something that we pick up everyday from where we left and follow a coherent logical line, until the didactic of the Being and the Divine Mother takes over.

A Line of Work

Create a line of working on that ego. That is a small set of tasks that will weaken the ego and build the inner scenario for it to come and take us by surprise.

A suggestion for such a series of tasks to weaken that ego preventing such a massive attack are:

One

Stop its rolls of thinking and inventing, by taking your attention off its issues and thoughts.

Two

Remembering how last time it led you to ruin and how this time it will do the same so do not want what it wants do not become it, do not take its identity and do not decide to go into it.

Three

Take it as an ego, as something that is bothering you as something that you do not need. That is the most dangerous thing when we feel that we need what the ego wants.

Four

Work in comprehension and work in elimination. Beg the Divine Mother intensely to weaken that ego.

Conclusion

We work on the ego very adhoc and without much coherence and monitoring of progress. In our human life we do well, we start a project, work at its completion going through various stages and we finally get it complete but we do not do the same with the ego.

As this works in human life it can also working our psychological and esoteric life as well.

End (256).

A Prayer to the Divine Mother About the Ego (255)

Express Your Worries to the Divine Mother

My Divine Mother Kundalini, I am worried about this ego that I have. I have gone with it, identified with it and have wanted what it is has been conditioned to give. I wanted what it could give me and in the way it was going to get it.

When I came close to getting it, I realised that I didn’t want it! I felt nervous and scared. It was not going to be pleasant as I believed it would be. I felt that I could not do without it, that what you my Divine Mother could give me or that which my own consciousness could give me would not satisfy me.

I am Confused – Illuminate Me My Divine Mother

I am scared that it will come back again. I have to work to not allow it to come back. To work hard to learn to get that deep satisfaction which is beyond that of this ego wants. What satisfaction does this ego give me in the end anyway?

Help me to comprehend, I am confused maybe I do not need this satisfaction, maybe with the death of this ego, the issue of this satisfaction will all disappear. Maybe that is where I am wrong maybe I don’t need this at all even in a superior way. Is that true? Illuminate me my Divine Mother, please illuminate me!

This Ego Can’t Continue

I know I can not do this again. I can not be identifying with this ego while I am on the path. It can not be, I can not come to be able to walk the path still falling into identification with this ego.

It has to be stopped sometime, why not now. If I stop it now I break the cycle. If I don’t stop it now I will have to start from zero again.

What this Ego Wants

This ego only wants a feeling made real. It wants me to feel a certain way, emotions become our reality so it wants our reality to match our emotion. It wants to feel uplifted, special in myself, however the end result is that it is always produces a down fall. Pain is its end result.

My Divine Mother I am well now, but the pendulum will swing, help me to not be moved by the pendulum, not to allow myself to go with that ego again.

Conclusion

Help my comprehension to go deep enough so to be strong enough to not identify with that ego. May I change and may I die.

We Hide from Others what we Hide from Ourselves (254)

Introduction

At first it does not really seem true, but given a closer look it appears to have some truth to it. So this post is about bringing trying to bring this truth out.

Why We Hide Things

The truth behind this statement lies in investigating why we hide things. When we hide something from others it is because we actually do not feel so good about what we are hiding. In some way we know that we should not be doing it or that we should not have done it. It could be something neutral even, like having bought an expensive pair of sunglasses and we don’t our fellow Gnostics to see that we bought them because we think that they will think that we are full of vanity.

We Hide Because we are not Fully Ok with it!

So when we hide something it is because we are not fully ok with it. Some parts of us are (some egos are) and some other parts are not. So those other parts that are not ok with that do not really accept that we have done something or are doing that something which we hide.

Accept it!

So there is some truth to it. As soon as we accept that we have done a particular thing then the need to hide it will diminish considerably.

What we Really Fear

We hide things from others too because we think that they will not accept us or rather they will not believe in or accept the half false image that we are giving them.

What we really fear though is that they will hit the thing in us that we don’t accept and consequently that will hurt us, because we have been working hard to hide it and now we are going to be discovered.

When we accept that we have a defect and they hit on that point we don’t mind because we have accepted it and we are not hiding it and we are giving others the chance to see us really as we are and so love us according to reality, meaning no surprises later on.

We fear that our real self is not good enough, that they will not accept the false image we are portraying to them. When we accept ourselves or our reality and we be that in front of others, we have overcome our fear of hiding and we don’t mind if they don’t like us.

Conclusion

The benefit of that is that we stop performing and the fear and stress of not being accepted goes making us more peaceful, loving, natural and happy. Happy in your own skin!

The Effort Divinity Makes (253)

A Thousand Words

This is picture is really marvellous, it says a thousand words.

Apathy of the Humanoid

This painting shows us that the Divinity, the Gods, angels and especially our interior Divinity make great efforts to help us and due to our sleeping condition we ignore this, are not aware of it and make very little effort to reciprocate.

The Divine-Human Relationship

The Divine-human relationship is one sided where the Divinity is the one giving all the time and the human is the one receiving, taking all that is offered and not being aware of where it comes from.

If we study and practice Gnosis, this imbalanced type of relationship will gradually change. Our interior Divinity will reach out more and more as we begin to reciprocate and as we begin to reciprocate we will reciprocate more and more strengthening and deepening the relationship between the human and the Divine.

Conclusion

The more we awaken and die the closer we are to our interior Divinity and the stronger and closer the relationship becomes. The work on ourselves brings balance to this initially imbalanced relationship and replaces the apathy of the sleeping consciousness with an ardent love.

Helping Others is to Help Yourself (252)

Need Help?

If we need help with something or anything at all, then we should try to help others. If we have a problem that we can not solve we can ask for help and that may well make all the difference, however if it doesn’t then we need to help others and acquire the merit or capital to receive the help that we need to overcome the problem or find the solution.

Conclusion

Getting help is all about merits, if we have the merits the help we need will come automatically and freely, however if we lack merits we will struggle for a certain time until we have paid the debt and when the debt is paid the help will come.

End (251).

Love is Fed with Love (251)

Logical isn’t it?

This statement by Master Samael is very wise and logical and it makes complete sense. We are so strange sometimes in that we ignore something so sensible and logical.

Love is not Fed with Indifference

Love or affection is not fed with indifference, hatred, disdain, dislike, harsh words and the like. These things actually erode love. Love is fed with the opposite of these things and more.

How can we Expect Others to Return Love if we Don’t Give it?

Sometimes we ignore this thinking that treating others harshly or even a little harshly will be liked by them and even cause us to return love. It never really does, it just causes or brings more separation.

Conclusion

When I notice that I am complaining internally that people are treating tough or harshly I check my present actions and my past ones to see how I have treated them. I am feeding them with positive impressions etc. and with love?

A Feeling of Satisfaction

It has really been very helpful writing all these posts, a lot has been learnt but more than that a feeling of satisfaction has arisen where finally a decent amount of what comes to one’s understanding has been put into words and made available for others. There is no point in understanding a little bit about something and not sharing it with others.

New Announcements!!!

I am currently working on several websites, one is up and running though it does not have too much material on it as yet. There is also another one that soon will be majorly reworked and then there are a few others in the pipeline. See below for the web addresses.

www.gnosticesotericstudies.org

A website containing articles on: the origins of things in esotericism, cosmic laws, mystical death, awakening, esotericism and sexuality. This website is basically for the Gnostic student.

www.gnosishelps.com

A web site that will deal basically with suffering and how to remedy it. This website is really for anyone who is suffering and is in need. This site needs a lot of development yet.

Death Brings us to the Transcendental (249)

Introduction

We have two special forces here in creation. They are life and death. They always come together and together they complete a cycle. We really must have both of them even if we only ever want one.

Life Brings us to Matter

Life as a force or as a ray brings us to creation and into matter in the form of a physical body. So in effect life as a force makes us to descend become involved and immersed in matter and human issues. So that is the role of the ray of life in creation.

Death though has a different role in creation basically the opposite role as you will see, read on…

Death Takes to the Spirit

Death of any sort is a journey back to the transcendental. That is back to the true spiritual nature of ourselves. That is the role of death, it is always to return to the spiritual or the metaphysical or the invisible or the beyond the common, while life is to return to the material.

Many Deaths

There are so many kinds of death, physical death, psychological death, esoteric or mystical death (same as psychological), the second death in the abyss and even mini human type of deaths such as when a relationship breaks, a projects ends or is cancelled, a TV show finishes, a holiday finishes, an objects breaks, or when a natural cataclysm occurs and a mountain or lake disappears. To be able to deal with these things death takes us (forcefully sometimes) to the beyond, to consider the philosophical and the greater truths.

Death takes us to better comprehend the spiritual, the philosophical, the invisible, the intangible, our own truth, the principles of creation etc. That is why we need mystical death to go back to the Being because death is the force that takes us up into the transcendental and into the spiritual.

Conclusion

To be able to handle death without pain we need to always be going into the transcendental, always looking for the beyond, the profound and that way we will be in good stead to handle our own death and the many other deaths and events that require us to grapple with the forces of death.

Good and Bad in Every Event of Life (248)

Introduction

Every event has something good and bad in it. This is hard to believe sometimes, but if we look a little harder we will find both the good and the bad. An event may be overall good but there will be some inconvenient or bad aspects to it.

In fact if there is good there has to be bad, and vice versa they always always come together.

Our Vision is One Sided

The problem with us is that our vision is usually one sided meaning we only see the bad or good side of an event. This is unbalanced you would agree?

Seeing both sides is to have a balanced view of life and its events and that means a more realistic view. When we are close to reality we suffer less and when we are far from reality we suffer greatly.

Conclusion - Practical Use

If we accustom ourselves to seeing both sides of life we will be able to neutralise the badness that always made us suffer. So if you see events as something bad or harsh then ask yourself to find three good things about the event and vice versa. You will see that things then change for you!

If we see the opposite to what we normally see, this will simple action will change our vision and therefore our response and reaction and overall feeling, (i.e. less suffering) towards the events of life.

The Seed Elements of Illumination are Inside of Us Here and Now (247)

Introduction

To eliminate the ego is to arrive at illumination. The work of eliminating the ego requires much comprehension and the apprehension of new truths.

Go Nowhere Else

If we want illumination we have to go nowhere else but inside of ourselves to find it. The elements we need to acquire illumination are inside of us here and now.

Process of Liberation is Illumination

Focusing on the ego, becoming aware of it, comprehending brings illumination to us. That process of liberating new comprehension and the apprehension of new truth about ourselves, our essence, our Being and the universe; is illumination.

Conclusion

Simply focus on the ego within and work to free the essence conditioned and sleeping within and the new comprehension and the apprehension of truth to do this work of liberation is illumination and brings more illumination. We could also concentrate on the consciousness and when it apprehends new truth that will also bring us illumination as well.

What is in our Future Lives? (246)

Introduction

We know that we are going to have some future lives especially if we know what life we are in? If we are in life number 106 then we know that we are going to have two more lives at least: 107 and 108. The interesting question is what will be doing in lives number 107 and 108, it is very interesting and useful to know.

If we Yearn to Know

If we are very worried about it or we really yearn to know what we are going to do in our future lives then as a gift of our interior Divinity or as a gift from another Master very close to us we can be told.
It is very comforting to know and it essentially explains the why of so many circumstances of your current life. It also explains the reason why you are the way you are to some degree.

Will of the Being

What we are going to do in our future lives is essentially according to the will of the Being. It is really what our Being wants to do. However, it depends so much on us following the line of the work on ourselves that we are currently on. Of we deviate from that line it can all change.

Conclusion

If we find out what we are going to be doing in the next few lives we can relax internally, or in other words stop worrying on one hand but on the other hand work very hard to make it come true.

If what we find out is something good we must keep following the line we are on, but if it is something not so good then we can change it, there is still time, and this life is extraordinarily useful and critical for us to use well and wisely to be able to that.

What Life are you In? (245)

Introduction

We know from Gnosis and Buddhism that we as an essence at the humanoid level of evolution have the right to enjoy 108 human bodies or existences on the planet Earth before a decision is made by the Judges of the Law as to whether we are given another chance to finish the work of our realisation or we are sent into involution in the bowels of the Earth.

The question is, where are we in the number of 108? 107? 106? 105? 89? 72? 23? We can know and we have the right to know!

How to Find Out

When we accept that we have had previous existences or human bodies then it becomes pertinent to know where we are and where we are going, and more still how do we find out where we are.

Three Methods

Gnosis says that the way to find out is to do either of three things. One is to ask our interior Divinity or the Masters of the internal worlds while having unfolded consciously and positively in the astral plane. Another one is to ask our interior Divinity through prayer and the third way is to take into meditation an make it the object of meditation, yearning that the answer be expressed as a revelation of the consciousness.

Why Find Out

It can be scary to know what number life we are in, however to know it makes us more aware of the real esoteric situation we are living, and with that knowledge we can act appropriately so to better create the destiny that our Being (also we) we want.

For example, if we discover that we are in number 106, we will change the way we act and work in life. We may well drop so many useless activities and work more intensely on ourselves not wasting time.

Conclusion

The author of this post is in life 106, indicating that this current life can not be used in vain. It is really worth finding out, it is a part of our greater reality and will help us to be more realistic about our life and about how we go about our work and life.

Working on Lust Returns you to Wholeness (244)

Introduction

There is a point where we really struggle to find new and powerful reasons to dissolve an ego and sometime we can’t but by virtue of the old very good reasons we preserve in the work on an ego and then as a result of that work we realise the benefit of working on that ego and we consequently feel the new reasons. Sometime the new reasons are not to be conceived with the mind but they are to be felt.

One of the benefits of working on lust is that it brings wholeness to ourselves and to our life. I will tell you why working on lust brings you wholeness.

In Sexuality there is Union

Sexuality is very obviously about unity, it brings connection, communion and unity between two people but more importantly within oneself, it unites and harmonises the different parts within oneself – that is peace. Sexuality (supra-sex) brings connection and union between the higher and lower parts of the Being. It has the power to create connections in within us. It creates within us, unifying our interior organization.

If we are united inside of ourselves our physical and external life will also follow suit and become unified, whole, harmonised, balanced and matched altogether.

As we know the sexual force can create and destroy. If we use sexuality wrongly we can break down the unity within us and cut many inner connections and create much disharmony within ourselves, and when we do that we divide our life.

In Lust there is the Break Down in Unity

Lust has that power to disharmonise things within us, it divides our interior life and therefore our physical life. It tries to make us do things that will take us out of the normal circumstances, expectations, routine and line of our life. And when or if we do that our life will suffer some large cracks. Like adultery for example is exactly that where lust takes the man or the woman totally out of their circumstances into another life, a second life almost and that then divides the person’s life. The person ends up divorcing and probably as is the usual case ends up alone.

Conclusion – the Reward

So in conclusion the reward or benefit one gets by working on the ego of lust is wholeness and an overall well-being and a certain happiness, not to mention peace. This is an immense benefit and a reason to continue to work on lust. Unity is peace, balance, happiness whereas division is pain, suffering, stress and the instigation of a successive break down of connections within ourselves and then soon after a within our physical external life.

Mantras for the Being (Divine Father) (243)

Introduction

Master Samael thorough his many books gave us (humanity) several mantras to invoke our interior Divinity in the form of the Father.

By the Father we mean in Gnosis our Spirit which is Atman in Theosophy or Hinduism and Chesed (Jesed) in Kabbalah. We also refer to this as the Being.

By the Monad or the Father of the Father we mean in Gnosis the Elder of the Days or Kether in Kabbalah.

Master Samael gave us mantras to invoke each of these parts of our interior Divinity. Here they are.

OMNIS JAUM INTIMO

Master Samael said that this mantra is to invoke our Father or Atman or Chesed. It is very good to chant a few O mantras and then some OM and concentrate on the heart.

TUM

Master Samael said that this mantra brings to us our Being, he said that it is very powerful and when we pronounce it our Being stops whatever it is doing and directs its attention toward us.

He also said when he explained the power of this mantra that the initiate has to ask the Being to strengthen his members which are the five centres of the human machine. So we can combine this mantra with the prayer asking our being to strengthen our centres.

This mantra is Egyptian in origin.

PANDER

This mantra Master Samael said is to invoke Kether. It is to be used in very profound meditation.

JAH

This mantra is also to invoke Kether. He gave it to us in the “Pistis Sophia Unveiled”.

JEU

This mantra Master Samael explains is to invoke Jeu which is an Angel and is the most elevated isolated part of eh Being next to Kether.

This mantra assists in the development of the power of self-observation and clairvoyance as this part of the Being - Jeu is related to that faculty.

This mantra was also given to us in the “Pistis Sophia Unveiled” by Master Samael.

Our Father

Master Samael said that the Our Father (Pater Noster) is a very powerful magical formula left to us by the Christ and is so powerful that it reaches Kether – the Elder of the Days.

This is really a marvellous prayer, we can even Master Samael says invoke Atman to take our message to Kether. Sometimes even our prayers don’t even reach Kether they only reach Atman.

Conclusion

We can experiment invoking our interior Divinity using these mantras, though to make them more effective we first can quieten our mind, work with the heart and in peace and tranquillity chant the mantra, focusing on the heart and praying to the part of the Being we want to invoke.

And may He come to you! We must be persistent! We must not lose heart!

Why do we Cry When Dissolving the Ego? (242)

Introduction

Generally dissolving the ego is difficult but at the same time very pleasant because we feel that gradually you are getting free of what pains you, but there are times when the ego is strong and we lack the comprehension and will to not want what it wants, we don’t see it as wrong and we are teetering on the edge of falling deeply into it.

This is when we cry because we have no other remedy than to beg our Divine Mother with tears for help.

Edge of the Abyss

Sometimes an ego is so strong and we are so identified or unified with it yet we know if we don’t stop it we are going to fall deeply into and into deep trouble humanly, psychologically and spiritually. We feel that we are the edge of the abyss and the abyss is beckoning.

This you would agree is a grave situation and it may happen to those who are working on the ego. Not very often but it may happen and it may have happened to those who have dissolved the ego, I don’t think we are alone in that.

When Comprehension Fails No Other Remedy

When our comprehension fails and we are still on the edge of the abyss we have to appeal to the Divine Mother with our tears, our sincere tears shed while alone moves our Divine Mother to help us and intervene for us before the Law.

This happened to Master Samael in his fifth major initiation, he after failing that test cried from the deepest parts of his soul pleading for help and then he found himself in the tribunal of the Divine Law where an executioner of the Law eliminated that defect from him, it was beyond his comprehension and power to stop it so a third external force -  the Divine Law took care of it for him.

Conclusion

If you find yourself at the edge of the abyss and your comprehension and will fails you then you have no other remedy than to appeal to your Divine Mother for help. If you are really sincerely concerned you will shed tears naturally but that happens only because you are deeply concerned, worried and pained and anyway the Divine Mother knows us inside out and fake tears will not move her.
