Transvaluation

The Term

The term transvaluation is best looked from two perspectives, the general and the particular.

General

In the general sense the term transvaluation refers to a transference of values from one place, object or cause to another. It is actually a word and can be found in the dictionary. Give it a quick search on Google and you will see.

Particular

This is a word that Master Samael used to refer to the action of transferring the value we give to the things in life, to the Gnostic Esoteric work. Essentially he was saying to come to value your esoteric work more than life. In other words come to see it as more valuable than the things of life.

Hypnotic Grip of Life

At first this may seem like something impossible. This is due to the amount of time we have spent giving the things of life such value and importance and also something special which we in Gnosis call the fascination and hypnosis of life.

Which one in reality has more value? Life (by life we mean, job, profession, commerce, family, stock market, travel, technology, entertainment etc.) or the work of developing our soul?

Really it is developing our soul! Why? Because that is what we are and all these things of life will perish and we can not take them with us after we die. Yet we will always be the soul, even after the death of the body. Why give so much value to things that will soon perish and ignore the very thing that we are and is our only true possession. It makes sense to say that what remains is true and what crumbles or changes is not true.
However, few people think this way. I’ll tell you once again, very few people in this world think like that. Why? Because of the fascination and hypnotic grip that life has on us. The main characteristic of the hypnotic condition in which we live is that we do not see the truth. We believe in the things that are not real as being real and logically we put our time, energy, hope and yearning into them (in other words our values). Just to repeat, because we see the things of life as true and real we invest our values in them.

The question here is what if we were to wake up and see the things of life for what they really are? Well we would be disappointed and disillusioned and we would change the way we see life and of course we would not put so much into things that are vain and have little meaning.

The Key for the Transvaluation

Carrying on from the previous paragraphs, we can say that the key to acting out the transvaluation in a true and stable way is the gradual breaking down or waking up from our hypnotic condition that we find ourselves in.

Life has us hypnotised and we are hypnotised by life. When we start to see the things of life as impermanent and not as solid and real then we will begin to break free from the hypnotic grip that the ego, the various egos and life has on us.

Coincidently, freeing ourselves from the fascination and hypnotic grip of life is one of the first tasks to complete. Later we must free ourselves from nature then from creation. Mind you, the last task of freeing ourselves from creation is a task for the perfected self-realised adepts, well almost for those who are Gods.

Something Natural and Simple

Anyhow back to the point at hand. We will carry out a transvaluation of our life naturally and simply when we achieve some freedom from the hypnotic grip of life. In particular, when we begin to see the falsity and uselessness of the many values of life, then of course we will transfer our values into something that is true, but it makes no sense what so ever to put our energy, our yearning, our hope, our time and our enthusiasm into things that are false.

Conclusion

The point that I wanted to express in this post is that the transvaluation is something natural, logical and true. When we wake up and begin to see the truth, which we can arrive at by discovering and deeply questioning the many beliefs and concepts that we have, we will see that they are false and they are also the ones that make us suffer.

The transvaluation is not something scary or something to be anxious about. We must work in the dissolution of the “I” and in the awakening and we will do it naturally, quickly and simply.

The Brain Must Dominate Sex

Must it?

With a little bit of common sense thought mixed with some life experience I think that you would agree with the title of this post. I think that only a very lustful person or a person obsessed with sex will disagree with the statement made in the title.

Anyhow this post delves into the subject matter with the intention of making us more conscious of the title’s statement and therefore putting it deeper into our consciousness so that it is not so easily undone by the ego.

The Human Machine as a Battlefield

Really the human machine is a battlefield. Why because there are so many opposing forces that occupy it. If there was only one force inside the human machine then there would be unity and therefore conflict of any kind would disappear.

There is the force of the essence or the consciousness, then there is the force of the ego and the forces of the various other egos. The ego as we would expect clashes with the essence, and the various other egos clash amongst themselves. Where do they clash, you might ask? Well, the answer is nowhere else, but in our very own body or human machine.

Where in the human machine more specifically do they clash? These forces clash within the centres of the human machine. That is two or more forces can clash within a centre, say for example two different egos can clash within the intellectual centre or one or more centre can clash against another completely different centre. For example, the intellectual centre can clash against the emotional centre or the sexual centre.

The Three types of Fights

Master Samael taught us that there are really three fights amongst the centres of our human machine. They are:
1.       Intellect against sex
2.       Intellect against heart
3.       Heart against heart.

He comments that the third fight, heart against heart is the worst of the three and is the most difficult.
These three fights are present in the infinity symbol. Coincidentally, the symbol of infinity Master Samael says is the blueprint or the design upon which the human machine has been created. He also says that the infinity symbol is at the centre of the earth, in the heart temple of the planet Earth.

You might ask what about the fight of emotion against sex, because it seems to be missing. The answer to this question is that it actually is included in the first fight of intellect against sex. Why? Because there is no emotion without intellect, the order in which the centres work is intellect, emotion and motor. So if there is no thought there can be no emotion or action, this is a principle and a law in our human machine. So for there to be emotion against sex it is really the emotional result of the intellect fighting against sex, so in the end it is really intellect against sex.

The Usual Winner

Just something on the side before we move onto the next point is that when the centres fight it is usually the emotional centre that wins, especially, if we are talking about a confrontation between the intellectual and emotional centres.

Usually sex also wins against the intellect as well, and the very great majority of the time it shouldn’t really win. The same thing applies to the emotional centre but that not as great, because there are times or events in life in which it is really not good in relationships that the cold and practical mind rules the relationship or situation.

Only really with the consciousness and the ethics and principles of the esoteric and psychological work can we defeat this tendency for one centre to win the battle when it is not convenient for it to win. An example is sex over intellect, where a man rapes a women and the consequences are jail, or adultery is really this case as well where the sexual centre overcomes the intellectual and emotional centres.

Intellect vs. Sex

As I mentioned earlier, really the intellect must rule sex. If it doesn’t sex being very powerful begins to run our lives and we become slaves to it actually. Very soon the purpose of our life becomes satisfying our sexual urges, appetite or desire for sexual sensations. Everything else in life takes second, third and even fourth place. Our life in other words very quickly gets derailed.

Letting sex go outside of its orbit creates disasters in so many avenues and ways in our practical life. And of course it is disastrous in our spiritual life because the ego of lust is behind it and when this ego gets stronger it is a huge distraction and disruption in our awakening and even biological processes. It many ways destroys the inner and outer peace that we could otherwise enjoy.

Not controlling sex leads to failure because the sexual instincts and the ego push and drive the person to fornication and ejaculation which is disastrous which is the fall. Even if we don’t control people commit adultery etc. and do things that are way out of the realm of common sense and against our ourselves and our self-respect.

Letting sex go wild is to destroy our image before others and it is to lower our dignity. I think you can understand this point without me having to go into too much detail.

Conclusion

In conclusion here sex has to be controlled it can not overcome the intellect, otherwise there are disastrous consequences waiting for us. The intellect knows what is right and what is wrong and knows what should not be done and it knows also the consequences but the power of sex and the hypnotic force of the ego combined, produce a craziness that ignores the sound and wise advice from the intellect.

It is a truth or in other words it is in accordance with cosmic and natural harmony that the sexual centre is put into its orbit and is controlled. This does not mean it is suppressed but it is used wisely within its orbit. After all everything has its orbit. We have to find the orbit in which sex travels and then once we know it we can work to consciously keep it there.

Align the Centres – End the Fight

The fights and battles in our human machine end when there is unity amongst all the centres and the fights between the different centres stop. This happens in either of three cases:

1.       We define or dedicate ourselves completely to some cause, like the work for example (the best thing in life to define yourself for).
2.       We eliminate the ego.
3.       We are fully given over to ego.

When we are united we are at peace, and when the consciousness is active in our human machine we have the three brains in united and working in harmony.

We also need to balance the three brains to relate well to everything in life. But that is another topic.

Conclusion

The intellect must become wise and illuminated or at least informed enough to know the orbit in which sex moves. If we want to learn more about the orbit of sex just observing normal people during normal hours of the day is enough. Of course observing ourselves and knowing when lust is active in ourselves is crucial in this exercise. If we can detect when lust is active in us and we know what it wants to do we can get a good idea of how the egos of lust fling sex out of its orbit.

The ego of lust is the one that is responsible for taking sex way out of its orbit. This is another story all together. Sex and advertising, sex and espionage, sex and business, the sex industry, sex and alcohol, sex and entertainment, etc. are all examples of sex flying out of its orbit.

So then, in summary it is in accordance with cosmic harmony that we keep sex in its orbit, you know we may not believe this, but if you want to learn this truth, just let sex go wild and see how it affects your life. Very soon I guarantee you that the law of cause of effect will bite you and you will understand in your own flesh and bones that sex according to balance and according to universal harmony and correctness should be kept in its orbit and the key to do that is for the intellectual centre to command it.

This mind you, it is very important that you pay attention to this, that the intellect controlling sex does not mean suppression (suppression is useless it always leads to a swing in the opposite direction). It means the wise use of sex (transmutation) which is equal to keeping sex in its orbit and using it in its orbit.

Importance of the Third factor

Introduction

I would like to express right from the beginning of this post that the third factor is crucially important, and this is only really known to those who are honestly working in the third factor. Those who are not working in the third factor ignore this.

There are many people who study Gnosis but who only work in the first two factors which are: mystical death and transmutation (the three factors as taught by V.M Samael Aun Weor for the revolution of the consciousness are: Death (dissolution of the ego), Birth (transmutation) and sacrifice for humanity (spiritually helping and teaching our fellowmen).

Working in the first two factors is tremendous and allows one to greatly advance in their spiritual development, however one could advance much faster and overcome obstacles much easier if they were working in the third factor. Though most importantly working in the third factor is to do what the Saviour (redeemer, Christ, Vishnu, Second Logos, Absolute) of the worlds has done. We will explain this point later on in the post.

Which Factor of the Three Pays the Most?

That is a good question and one which I have wondered about many times. Well the answer is a little varied. I heard from my instructor that a Gnostic Master after an investigation into which factor pays one the most said that the first factor: death is the one that pays the most. However I have heard from my very own instructor that it has been the third factor that has kept him standing all this time and without it, he probably would have been flattened by the weight of his own karma.

I have also heard from another currently very famous Gnostic missionary in one of his video publications that the third factor has been for him the most important factor. Why? Because, according to his own experience it allowed him to gain the merits to pay for his progress in the first and second factors. He also commented that his efforts in the third factor were the ones that saved his life on several occasions. My instructor also told me that Master Samael said to the newly graduated missionaries in Guadalajara, Mexico (1976) of which he was one of them, that with the third factor, one comes to pays all his karma.

So in conclusion, we can see that the third factor is at least crucial, it may be the one the helps us the most but the synthesis of all of this is that it combined with the first factors is the complete combination, the complete set that gives one all that is needed to progress towards and pass the milestones of the path.

Work in the Three factors in Equilibrium

The best way to work in three factors is to work in them with equilibrium or in other words in balance. To work in the third factor only is good but the quality of the third factor will suffer as death and transmutation is needed to enrich, fortify and renew the third factor.

To work only in transmutation is good for a while but death is needed and the third factor is needed to pay for the awakening of the kundalini etc., the merits of the heart that the kundalini needs are won in the first factor and in the third factor.

Working only in the first factor may be the best factor to choose to work in, if you have to choose just one that is. Though after a while, it will get very difficult, because there won’t be the help coming from the second factor and the third factor. Besides, it is a waste really, all that light that we get from the first factor is good for us but better if it is taught to others so to help them, and all that love and wisdom that is freed with the first factor can become corrupted or selfish after a while, because it is not expressed, that is, it is not used to help humanity with. Anyway love will move the person to help humanity. So a person who works honestly and sincerely in the first factor will go to work in the third factor because of the love that he or she is generating will move him or her the work in the third factor and of course will be less and less psychological obstacle to stop the person.

Third factor is Special

On a concluding note now, the third factor is indeed very special. Why? Because it is to emulate the saviour that the Absolute has always sent to rescue by means of great sacrifice His essences. The Absolute the Father (and also Mother) of All of Creation has always sent His Son to save, to redeem and bring the many essences (divine sparks like Him) back into unity with Him. He does it in such a way that each Monad and essence that unites with Him is fully conscious of the process and is free from all karma, pain and suffering.

The person who teaches sacrifices him or herself to so to fight for the return of other essences back to unity with Him. This is what His Son does for All creation. So the person who works in the third factor is one who works as a Helper of the Saviour and is always rewarded by the great Father – the Absolute. This may be a lot to say but the person who works in all the three factors one day incarnates the Saviour (The Intimate Christ and later the Cosmic Christ - Chochmah) and so he or she becomes one with him and He saves the person from inside.

Why Some Monads Don’t Want Realization

Why is the Question

An answer to this question is really the reason why there are so few people in this world dedicated to studying a doctrine or a system of knowledge that will really transform them and take them to the self-realization of their very own Being.

The Facts

The fact that there are so few people in comparison to the rest of the world in Gnosis or in any other order or school that really work for the self-realization of the Being tells us quite clearly either of two things. One, that access to such knowledge is restricted or two, that it is not wanted.

From our experience we see that both factors are at work, however the one that predominates the other is that the it is not wanted.

It is Not Wanted

As we have said earlier is the secret reason why there are so few people today dedicated to the self-realization of the Being or the pursuit of the ethical values of the soul. The other two very powerful reasons are: one - karma and two - the fact that we are in the times of the end and karmically speaking the Great Divine Law has made the decision to put an end to this race and so for those essences that need more time (or lives) the door is shut and so there is no pint in getting interested in the realization when they will not the right peaceful times to achieve it.

The Intellectual Humanoid Does not Want it

Certainly the self-realization of the Being is not wanted by the hypnotised and sleeping intellectual humanoid or in simpler terms - the common human being. This is because being asleep the intellectual humanoid is very happy with its state of being asleep and contemplating moving out of that state appears to be very painful, disruptive and disquieting. The ego which is essentially in control of the human being life does not want to sacrifice its values or interests and all it wants is the continual fulfilment of its interests.

However what is interested in the self-realization if the Being is the essence or consciousness of the human being. The essence or consciousness is impulsed by its Being to search for a place where it can receive the knowledge to be able to achieve its self-realization. Ultimately the self-realization is the prerogative of the Being. The Being is the one that wants the its realization and moves its essence (us) to find it.

Mind you the consciousness itself may also want the self-realization and there are moments in our life where we wonder about what we are doing here and we are convinced that there has to be more to life, there has to be a superior kind of knowledge out there that can transform us and enlighten us and answer many of our questions. The problem though is the powerful fascinating power of life and the ego, as soon as the essences begins to shine the ego astutely tries to cover that light in darkness of fascination and other very interesting and exciting egos, typically lust, greed, ambition and pride. The essence really needs Divine assistance in the form of the Being and the master so the “White Lodge” to make that in quietude to persist and eventually drive the essence to knowledge of the self-realization of the Being.

The Being Does not Want it

At a very deep level the facts that there are so many human beings on this planet and very few are interested in self-realization shows us that the Beings or Divine Monads of these human beings does not want at this given point its realization.

Why Does the Being not Want it Realisation?

Why does the Being not want it well, it may be that the Being has another time planned or that the Being has a certain mission to achieve in the future and when that time comes the Being will raise its vehicle toward the realization  This was the case of V.M Samael Aun Weor. For so many years he was fallen and for that number of one million years as Master Samael himself says his particular Being could have raised his essence or soul toward the realization  While so many Mayan, Aztec, Chaldean, and Egyptian initiates as well as many medieval Alchemists achieved their self-realization Master Samael was fallen. Thank God for that, because if he had raised say in the medieval times we would not have the Gnosis that we have today.

Another reason is the decision of the Monad himself. It is all up to the Monad, it is his choice. He for some reason that we don’t know or can’t understand does not want his realization  Master Samael says that some Monads to stop their vehicles from becoming interested in the realization, create the ego of skepticism as a shield to prevent the essence from entering the path. They may also create egos of black magic which stop the essence or the Monad’s vehicle from entering the path as well. So it is up to the Monad. The Monad is in the Absolute and it may be entirely happy there doing what it is doing, it may not have interest in being supra-conscious in the Absolute and being a self-realized God, it may be rather happy to serve the Gods.

Invest in the Absolute

Investment

Everything in life is some sort of investment. No matter what the investment is we always as human beings invest time, energy, intellectual, emotional and physical effort as well as some kind of resource, where it be knowledge, money, people, or perhaps something magical or esoteric.

The esoteric work that we carry out in Gnosis is certainly no different. It is no more than an investment of our time, our consciousness, our love (for the work and the Being), our physical and spiritual energy and some of our physical resources such money (especially if you are a Gnostic missionary).

Of course the same principle applies as in life, the more we invest the greater the return. If we invest our life in our esoteric spiritual work towards our Being we can expect one day to win back our the integration with our Being. This act of putting our life at the service of the work towards our Being was called by Master Samael the transvaluation.

The Work of the Absolute

We here have introduced that of investing, however this is not really want we want to present in this post. We want to take a slightly angle and talk about investing in relation to the absolute and the third factor.

As you may know the Absolute the Great Common Cosmic Father or the Great Being of all the Beings has a cause, which in Gnosis we know it as the “Great Cause”. Which is essentially the work of the Absolute to unite within it all the Beings in creation in a self-realised state, in other words the Absolute wants all its parts to come back to it in a fully conscious state. That is a state where each part is fully conscious of itself, which includes who it is, from where it has come from and what it is.

The Absolute is working to achieve this and it is worth mentioning here that every time one of its parts (a Being which definitely had or has a human being as a bodhisattwa) returns to the Absolute in a self-realised or conscious state the Absolute enhances itself and shines brighter. This is because the knowledge, wisdom, experience and power that this Being has acquired in creation merges with the Absolute and enhances it.

The Absolute’s Helpers

To achieve this goal the Absolute needs workers or helpers, and we the people who are trying to help others in their spiritual esoteric work of self-realisation are those helpers. In the end a Gnostic missionary is one that works for the Absolute. People who help in some way the spread of the Gnostic teachings or any teachings that are really complete (contain the three factors) and direct people towards the self-realisation of the Being are collaborators in the “Great Cause”. So it occurs that a person may not even be in the Gnostic teachings but may give his or her time to help the missionary to spread the teachings, for example the father or mother of the Gnostic missionary. In this case the father or mother of the Gnostic missionary wins merits for working in the Great Cause of the Father and these merits will later on help the person when their Monad or Being decides to work in its self-realisation.

The Absolute Pays Its Helpers

We as helpers of the Absolute’s great project certainly get paid. So every time we work for the Absolute we are paid, also when we work for the Absolute we are investing in the Absolute.

We can work for the absolute in many ways. There are really two ways of working for the Absolute. One is working on ourselves, that is, working towards our own self-realisation. This helps the Absolute, because that will lead to the Absolute achieving its goal with us, and the second way is working for the self-realisation of others. The best way to work for the Absolute though is to work in both fields, that is, on ourselves and for others. This way really pays the maximum benefits.

Why is Working for the Absolute is the Best Investment

There are several reason why we should invest in the absolute rather than in the stock markets of New York and London.

Beyond Time

All the investments in life can be useful for a time but as soon as we get sick or die they are useless to us, they may be useful to those who we leave behind but as soon as they get sick or die they are useless. The point is that we are trying to make here is that all the investments in life die or perish in time, because they belong to time. They are born in time and die in time. Because the Absolute is beyond time it has always been and will always be, any investment in it will never perish.

At Our Very Core

In many ways we don’t need to invest in the many things that we in life, invest in, because they are outside of us and they don’t make any change to our interior nature, they may bring us some enjoyment but they won’t change us, or enlighten us or make us radically different people. They may not even help other people. But investing in the spiritual work or in the work of the Absolute is something that is of our inner core that is so deep down fundamentally us. To invest in the work of the Absolute is to really help ourselves and others right at our very own core. The Absolute is our authentic home and it is the place where we all must end up and it is the place from where we have all come from.

Pays After Death

Whatever investment we make in the Absolute will serve us well after death and will win us merit. It may even be able to prolong our life by the very fact that we are useful to the Absolute.

Will Never Disappoint

Unlike so many human investments the investment in the Absolute will never let you down and it will never go bankrupt or miss a payment. It is does seem to let you down it is because there is something karmic impediment or a lack of vision on our part.

If a karmic impediment is stopping some sort of payment or flow of capital that is ok because we are paying that karmic debt and as karma has a beginning it will also have an end, and logically one day it will finish. Unlike human investments what we invest in them are sometimes lost and they do not fulfil their promises, well this won’t happen with the Absolute and it will never ever go bankrupt like all the human businesses one day will as they are subject to the law of impermanence.

Conclusion

What we wanted to achieve in this post is to put across a very convincing argument that the best thing we can do in life is to invest in the Absolute, that is to invest our life which is nothing more than our time and our energy in the work of the Absolute. Why? Because it is what we all are and its goal is peace, harmony and the enhancement of the consciousness and lives of every human being.

If everyone were to do that then the Earth would be a very different place indeed.
