Symptoms we have Left our Abyss for Now - (312)

Introduction

There are signs or indications that we can know that we have left our own abyss. Not forever but for now and later to return. Note, the length and depth to which we return to, depends a lot on us.

Why do we Descend?

We descend into our own abyss essentially when we identify with the ego. We go either because we allow it or because the Typhon by order of our Real Being submerges us there for us to work on a particular ego. There in our own abyss we can understand the ego deeply, know its nature, know the good and bad in it and when we are there if the ego is a heavy one we can understand, even though we may not really want to, the reason why people in history have done the things they have done.

Things and actions of the ego in us and the egos of others that we could not understand before we come to understand now while we are submerged in our abyss, which is in many the same experience as when others are submerged in their abyss.

What does it Feel like to be in our Own Abyss

We are essentially besieged by the ego, we suffer, it is so very difficult to shake off the ego. It is difficult to let go of the thoughts and difficult to displace the ego. We become are very egotistical and tunnel visioned and selfish, we wear the lenses of the ego and we feel its desires intensely, its frustrations and suffering all very intensely. We feel out of control, but under its control, we don’t want to be but we are and we can not deny it. We feel oppressed, almost like a prisoner to it, we have lost our life to it. Normality seems like a blessing that we are not blessed with.

When we Leave out Abyss

After our learning about a particular ego is compete, and we have made our efforts sometimes super efforts to leave our own abyss or sacrifice that ego or stop its identification and start to work seriously and intensely on it  we leave our abyss.

Leaving our abyss is very noticeable. Here are the symptoms or things that you feel when you leave your own abyss.

You feel happy to be alive once again. You feel the fresh air, life is sweet again. Life returns to you. Your psychological space returns to you. Your mind is clear. The oppression ends, You feel free and optimistic once again. Your natural charity and good will returns, you care about people again. Your enthusiasm returns. Your energy returns but most of all you can see the sky and the sun and feel the air with much joy. Everything regains its shine, while before everything seemed dull, heavy, tiresome and impossible.

Conclusion

We descend into our abyss when we get identified. We can leave our abyss by sacrificing the view point, desire, goals, feelings etc. of that ego feeding our identification with it.

However, we can be thrown into our own abyss by karma or the Typhon, there we have to make the most of it and learn and work very hard to gain the right to leave. There in our own abyss is where we have to triumph over the ego and we learn the most magnificent keys to overcome and defeat that ego. Nowhere else do we for ourselves learn these keys.

Unfortunately it seems as though it is a necessary thing to have to descend.

Every ascension is preceded by a humiliating descent says Master Samael. He is so wise.

Gnostic View of Human Evolution - (311)

Introduction

When we commonly talk about evolution we think about the well-known Darwinian theory of evolution. Which Gnosis acknowledges, however not to the full extent that it has been taken lately. Gnosis also acknowledges that of human evolution, however in a sense that it is best explained. This post attempts to explain this.

Full Evolution Extent

Evolution in the sense that in the future we will all evolve to use 100% of our brain capacity and be fully awake, have developed all out latent faculties and potential, have eliminated all sicknesses, have overcome poverty, eliminated war, have knowledge of all the corners of the universe and the human body, etc. is really in Gnostic terms a fiction.

Gnosis does not agree that in the future we will evolve to become angels or Gods. The reason why is because it would not be fair to give something to a human being that he or she does not want or has not worked in order to achieve.

Gnosis however does agree with the various physiological adaptations that have occurred over time in various animal species and in humans to help them better adapt to their environment.

Extrapolating Observed Adaptations to Explain Future and Past

Future

Darwin’s theory of evolution was basically based on his observations of the various adaptations that had occurred in animals. Considering adaptations there are many well know and documented facts that we all can not deny, however to extend these observations into a theory that sees the human being as developing into a God like being in the future is something Gnosis does not agree with.

The diagram below shows the adaptations that have occurred in the Giraffe species over time.

Past

Also on the other hand extending the observation of adaptations to a theory to explain that we have come from a very simple one cell organism etc. something Gnosis does not agree with either. However the idea that is common in evolution studies is that the current human being has its origin in apes, which Gnosis surprisingly does agree with, however this must be explained.

Human Evolution

Basically Gnosis explains that the real authentic human being the one who was united with his/her own spiritual parts had their origin in the absolute and descended gradually to the Earth as creation unfolded and began to condense.

However the human being nowadays Gnosis says has its origin in the mixture of real authentic physical human being who unfortunately fell into degeneration and mixed with the beasts of nature.

This mixture produced numerous half human creatures, of which the apes of all sorts have their origin. Even nowadays the human being is classed as a species of ape. In fact conventional science says that the human being’s DNA is 98% similar to that of a chimpanzee.

So this mixture in the beginning produced so many different humanoids that over time evolved through various processes and other mixtures etc. to be the human being that we have now. Please note it was not as simple as the process that is commonly thought of and which is expressed in the diagram below. That is why Gnosis calls the current human being an intellectual animal.

Conclusion

What Gnosis does acknowledge are the various physiological adaptations that have occurred in various animals and in human beings over the centuries to better adapt to the changing conditions of their environments.

Gnosis does not agree with extrapolation of this to explain the future and past of eh human being.

Gnosis does acknowledge much of what has been said in regard to human evolution, essentially because Gnosis sees the human being today as having come from the mixture of real human beings with animals. This mixture or blending produced numerous hominids or humanoids that have evolved over time to become today’s human being

Change is Constant - (310)

Introduction

We in life have to expect everything especially outside of ourselves to change for better or worse.

Things that Change

Circumstances change, people change, destiny changes, health changes, appearance change, parents change, society changes, technology changes, cars change, the Earth changes, our body changes.

What Does not Change

Our Being does not change and eh moment does not change. Our essence does not change either. Love does not change. Truth does not change. Principles do not change, the Absolute does not change. All that is of the Absolute does not change.

Conclusion

Being aware that everything changes helps one to be adaptable, just like water. All the elements are adaptable to some degree, except Earth. Water is the definitely the most adaptable. To be adaptable is to be realistic in life and to avoid much suffering. Sometimes though being too adaptable is not good, especially where being adaptable to someone’s bad egos comes into play. There you need a bit of Earth and stand firm.

Reality Happens Different to the Mind’s Plan - (309)

Introduction

Our mind thinks that things should happen according to the way it sees things or plans things. It believes that things should happen for good or worse according to its plan.

Reality always shows us that the minds plans are not always the way things happen!

Reality

The reality is always that things are not as bad as we think. Things take longer than expected. Things sometimes can be quicker than expected. There are always unexpected delays. Not everything we want to do can be done.

The diagram below shows what really happens. Please note this applies to everything in life and in the esoteric path. Please note not even your esoteric path moves according to your plan, but to your being’s or the Law’s plan.

Conclusion

Any plan that you have work that it goes according to plan, but not get disappointed when it doesn’t. Our mind gets disappointed but the reality is that our plan is meeting reality and it is really getting done here in reality and not in our mind.

Or make plans taking into account all the things that can go wrong to happen. Such plans are realistic plans!

Your esoteric progress can not be controlled by your mind!

When Given A Gnostic Activity - (308)

Introduction

The Gnostic environment is very dynamic and can prove to provide one with a strong psychological gymnasium at times. Just one element of thousands of elements in the Gnostic school environment is being given the chance to lead an activity.

This post introduces an attitude to have when given a Gnostic Activity to lead.. This attitude has served me well and has avoided me creating many problems. I hope that it can be useful for you too.

Be Prepared to do but also Prepared to Let Go!

Basically this attitude is to assume that you are going to lead the activity and be prepared in all that you are going to say and do to the best of your ability but most importantly be very prepared for things to change and for you to not end up leading the activity.

Things Change – A Law

Things do Change and when they do adapt to them that is best. Don’t worry your effort in preparing for them won’t go to waste, you will get another chance, you can wrote it down and create an article out of it or you can even make a short video and post it somewhere.

You never know the other person that took your spot may say the same thing as you, i.e. deliver the same message or even deliver a message that is what the audience needs most to hear.

Conclusion

In conclusion, everything changes be very wary of that and be prepared for things to change but also very well technically prepared to do it just in case things don’t change.

Where is One’s Consciousness of Evil? - (307)

Introduction

An awakened person is said in Gnosis to be above, beyond and outside of both good and evil. So an awakened person is not good nor evil, but what makes him or her that is that the awakened person has consciousness of all the good and all the evil of things. The awakened one sees the reality, which is the truth and the truth is the magic combination of both sides good and evil.

Evil Outside and Inside

Certainly evil is outside of us in the actions of our fellow man and of course it is also inside us.

We can witness the evil of others, even experience it, be harmed by it or even benefit by it inadvertedly and we can also observe the evil that we have inside us in terms of what is in our psyche. That is the negative thoughts, ideas, desires and ill-intentions etc.

However how can one become really aware or conscious of evil? Is it to study all the evil of the world and the abyss or is it to know profoundly the evil we carry within?

Awareness of Evil is in Our Karma.

We can become very aware of the evil outside of ourselves in the world, but to know it profoundly we have to be in it or to have taken part in it, i.e. experienced it directly. In fact we all have to some degree taken part in evil and therefore have experienced it. Of course some a lot more than others.

The evil that we have taken part in, is left with us in our psyche but more importantly in our karma. The karma we have is the karma for having done evil in a greater or lesser degree. Karma is also in our subconscious.

So in other words if we want to be conscious and wise about evil we have to look deeply into our own karma. Our karma holds these secrets and wisdom.

Conclusion

Those beings that have delved deep into evil will one day when they are able to be free from all their karmic debts for having done so will have a tremendous amount of consciousness. This is not an excuse or an invitation or suggestion to go into evil , but only information that from the conscious payment and comprehension of our karma and egos will come much consciousness and wisdom and in that consciousness and wisdom is the awareness and comprehension of what that particular evil is, of why it is inconvenient, how it can be overcome, avoided and not repeated.

Connection between Lust and Laziness - (306)

Introduction

It is said much in esotericism and in Gnosis that lust is the origin of the all the egos. In so many ways that rings true. However, it is not always immediately obvious on a specific ego by ego level. It makes sense in the general scheme of things, where due to the fall which was a sexual matter, the human being was lead to create the ego, making the ego a direct by-product of lust using the sexual energy. This post describes the link between lust and laziness.

Laziness and Lust

When someone works on lust to dissolves it many facets and connections to other egos are discovered. Lust can be overcome or controlled in a way that is not widely spoken about, which is by physical exercise. The more rigorous the exercise the more one is able to control the sexual impulse. We know this to be true because physical exercise uses up the reserves of sexual energy. It may also in some ways transmute that energy, and with the energy transmuted, lust, a purely psychological factor can not influence our sexual organs and therefore drive us to fulfil the sexual impulse in its preconditioned ways.

Laziness of course deprives us of doing physical exercise and so the sexual energy accumulates to such a level that it is too much to control. Then lust steps in and fulfils its role which is to bring us down, in all the senses but more so energetically speaking.

Lustful Person is a Lazy Person

That is why you see lustful people that are very lazy. So in these cases lust can use laziness to prevent the person from fighting against it. Lust would just have the person doing nothing but receiving pleasure. The lustful person starts to neglect the normal healthy things in life such as cleaning the house, the kitchen and the dishes etc.

Laziness is No Energy Flow

Laziness therefore stops the flow of energy and stops sexual energy from flowing upward and inwards leaving it to accumulate, all because it inhibits us from moving physically. So lust uses laziness to have more energy and just be always on the receiving side.

Conclusion

So once again lust and laziness are linked, In that laziness supports lust. If we overcome laziness we will also deliver a blow to the egos of lust and fornication so that they can also be easier overcome.

Why is the Devil Depicted with a Tail? - (305)

Introduction

The devil in nearly every image that you see of him, he is depicted as a male wielding a trident or three pronged pitch fork and a tail. In an earlier post (302) we talked about the trident and this post we will cover the tail.

The Tail

The tail is something very esoteric. The tail in esotericism is an aspect of the Divine Mother, it is a mini representation of the Divine fire of the Universe. It is a Divine force that is used in creation, it is the electricity of life, the force of life, the intelligence and the spark that animates living creatures, it is a derivation of the Universal prana of life.

That fire of the Divine Mother of the Cosmos in miniature that is in all of us (though dormant) is always represented by a snake or as Master Samael says a “serpentine fire” or a tail. In its positive aspect the fiery serpent ascends or points upwards and in its negative aspect it points downwards (tail).

Devil and the Tail

The devil has the tail or the negative aspect of the Divine Mother or Kundalini as it is often called. Please note, in its negative aspect the kundalini is called the kundabuffer in English, or Kundatiguador in Spanish.

So the devil with his tail is telling us that he has this fiery power and can use it, however as it is a tail (something projected out and down) it shows us that this tail is a negative power, i.e. a power that is used to create negatively. It also corresponds to the sexuality that is used to acquire this power, the out and downward flow of the sexual energy is what develops this power, however the inward and upward sexuality develops the power of the Kundalini which is the Divine fire working positively in the light and this is not represented by a tail but by an ascending serpent that is sometimes shown as a cobra protruding from the forehead of the initiate, just as in the pharaohs of Egypt, especially in their sarcophagus’ like with Tutankhamun.

Hypnotic Grip

The devil has a tail to show us also of the hypnotic grip of the kundabuffer. The power that the ego has over us is due to the hypnotic grip of the ego, the hypnotic grip of the ego keeps us doing the actions of the ego even when we know that it is wrong  and harmful to us and others. The tail or hypnotic grip signifies the devil’s ability to seduce and tempt us, to beguile and convince to fail to his temptations. If we defeat the hypnotic grip of ur egos we will also be better able to defeat his temptations. In The temptations of the devil or the Typhon Baphomet we can always back out it is us that take his temptation, he just puts it in front of us but we make the mistake of taking it.

Conclusion

The tail is the kundabuffer or the kundalini polarised negatively, the Kundalini helps us to break the hypnosis under which are and to break free from the ego and to ascend to the light. The kundalini connects us to our interior divinity however the kundabuffer or the tail of eh devil connects to the infernal worlds or regions of nature, in other words the fantasy and absurd hypnosis of eh ego. It enslaves us in the or ties us increasingly more as it develops to the ego and the abyss.

Pride and Lust – Double PPP - (304)

Introduction

We know that the PPP, that is the Principal Psychological Profile is a causal factor, meaning that it is something that by itself forms a cause for many tragedies, dramas, circumstances and comedies. We know that it is the cause of our fall and the reason or the cause of many of our life’s circumstances and our of thoughts, emotions and inner states.

Sometimes it is as if Lust and Pride are Together in the PPP

As causal factors lust and pride are together, in fact they form a very dynamic duo that is very powerful in lowering our level of being. In fact working together they are responsible for our fall, usually Pride is the expression of the first desire to be something more, something different, it is the first expression of inconformity with the unity, the whole and the Being. Pride produces a distance or a separate from the whole, the unity and the being but the connection is still there, it maybe be weak but it is still there, though lust is the one that produces the disconnection, i.e. definitely cuts the connection and so we fall.

Without lust we would not be able to fall and without pride we would not have used lust to fall either. So they work hand in hand. However over time in through our various lives one of these egos Pride or Lust comes to be stronger than the other.

If One’s PPP is Pride, Pride will be found in Lust but not the Other Way Around

If your PPP is Pride, you find wit at the root or base of your lust and your Pride will use your lust, it will trigger your lust. Sometimes Pride uses lust for control, for dominance, for revenge for superiority for many other reasons. Lust can use pride such as vanity etc. to shape the body to be more attractive etc. but the cases where pride uses lust will far out number the cases where lust uses pride if one’s PPP is actually in fact Pride.

Work Lust to Find Pride

Sometimes, we in our psychological work have to overcome lust then the gymnasium with pride comes to us. Working on lust opens the way to find and work on pride. Lust is like a distraction that delays this work on our core egoical structure which is the PPP.

Working on Lust Re-establishes the Connection (Order and Peace)

Working on Lust may bring much order and peace to one because the core of one’s energies are flowing correctly and that there is less distraction and one can maintain their level of being and level of alertness and focus on their work. However, it does change our sexual nature which then changes us because if we change our core sexual energy we change our selves fundamentally. It puts us on the right track. It strengthens and helps to re-establish that broken connection with the Being. Because ultimately transmuting and awakening Kundalini is when we re-establish that connection to the Being and that is only achieved by working on lust, not succumbing to it.

Working on Pride Closes the Distance (Restores our True Nature)

When we work on pride we actually begin to change our inner nature, making it much more filled with good will, much more benevolent, balanced, unifying and closer to the nature of our essence and Being. Working on pride brings heaps of difficulties to our life, problems, fights, insults, offences, unfairness you name it. The result is balance and equanimity in the face of such things. It brings a shift in our centre of gravity from the false personality to the essence and our Being. It draws us closer to our Being. So it then restores our true nature which is ultimately that of the Being.

Conclusion

Lust and Pride are a duo that work together usually and really should both be worked upon. Both are causal factors and working on one or controlling one allows access to the other. Working on lust re-establishes the connection and working on Pride closes the distance between us and the Being. So the order is to work on lust to create the connection to the Being and work on pride to close the distance to our Being.

What is Temptation - (303)

Temptation is Fire

Master Samael says that temptation is fire and triumph over it is light. That is a real marvellous synthesis, such a wise statement that indicates to us he has so much experience and real wisdom. It seems like nothing special on the surface but when delves deeper it makes so much sense and there is so much wisdom in it that we can extract.

A Reason not to do

Generally we are tempted when there is in us reason why we should not do something. If there is no reason then there can not be any temptation. If there is knowledge or discernment inside of ourselves about a certain opportunity being wrong or inconvenient yet we have an ego with its desire pushing us to take the opportunity then we will obviously fall under temptation.

No reason or no knowledge or no discernment or no determination or no resolution or no intuition then no temptation. Temptation pushes us to choose, always. It is always up to us in the final instance, the temptation is fire that burns us but it is up to us how we deal with that fire that burns us.

Fire

When we are tempted there is a clash of forces within us, we are pushing pushed and pulled, in other words there is much friction inside of us and this creates fire. It is a state of intensity, a state of lots of energy and creativity, it is by no means a state of low energy, peace, tranquillity or silence. It has all the characteristics of fire, energetic, volatile, fast moving, quick, radical, violent and intense.

Light

The by product of fire is light, however in temptation we only get light when we triumph over it. In other words light is awareness, consciousness and new insight and understanding. We above all acquire the precious balm or knowledge of that precious balm that quenches the thirst of that particular temptation. That is worth millions!

Conclusion

The temptation creates the friction and fire from which we can get the light. In other words temptation creates the grounds for contrast within us and the result of that seeing clearly and going with the right option shown in the contrast is light.

If we made a choice and the result is not light or love then we failed. We have to try again!

End (303).

Temptation is Best Solved with Love - (302)

Introduction

The best way to solve any temptation is with love.

Operate with Love

Operate with love in the temptation and it will benefit all, love will wash away the desire it will transmute it into something that you feel fine about sacrificing or letting go of.

When Love is Active

When love is active in us we are at peace and we feel the benefit that we can give others and that can be used to overcome the temptation because to fail does not mean to benefit ourselves and others.

To Fail

To fail to a temptation does not help us nor the people in involved really. Why because they are vehicles of our fall, the karma we get, they will also get and if the temptation is about doing something wrong and they are involved in that something wrong, then they will reap their consequences that may not be very pleasant, so to fail is to do wrong to others who are involved and for the people that love us it obviously hurts them. The fail in a temptation always involves others in some degree ort another and to fail is not expressing love, well maybe a love but that love in the end turns out to be the lesser love, one that we mistook in the temptation as being the greater love!

Conclusion

Use love to solve your temptation because love will not make you feel bad about letting go of that desire which is at the heart of the temptation!

Temptation is Won or Lost in the Mind - (301)

Introduction

As mentioned earlier any temptation develops in the mind and is sustained in the mind and it is decided upon in the mind to either defeat or succumb to the temptation.

Thought to Emotion to Action to Overcome or to Succumb

Emotion follows mind and action follows emotion. So if we have lost the battle in the mind the chances are we will lose the battle in the motor centre and that is where the problems in our path and life will really begin for us.

Implication

We must be very careful with our mind, especially with the thoughts, with the ideas to do with the temptation, with the plans to do with the temptation, with the fantasies and the projections to do with the temptation.

We can observe them all appear in our mind, what makes it really worse for us is when we elaborate with our mind upon those ideas and plans etc. and then start to decide upon them.

When Psychological Work does not seem to Help

Sometimes working on those ideas and thoughts and desires does not really make us feel any better, perhaps worse because we feel guilty and ashamed. What is better for the moment, that is, as a temporary measure is to concentrate on not elaborating the thoughts related tot eh temptation. Release them from the mind and as we do not give them force they slip away and as we get on with our life they will go to our background and our state will change and then we can see much more clearly the justifications, the desires, the reasons why we can’t or do not want to let go of the temptation etc.

Conclusion

When under temptation, whether it has come to us out of the blue or whether we have brought it on, I sincerely recommend to focus on the mind, seeing the thoughts and being ultra careful to not feed to elaborate the thoughts or mental activity related to the issues of the temptation. Whatever that temptation turns out to be! Money, power, sex, resentment, grudges, revenge, etc. etc.

End (301).

When Defeating Temptation Love Results - (300)

Introduction

One certain way that we can know that we have defeated a certain temptation is when we have solved it with love and we end up in a state that is more caring, blissful, happy, in other words loving, but in a general sense towards one’s Being, oneself, others, the world, the Earth, the plants, the stars, the animals, the oceans the rocks etc. etc.

When Consciousness Triumphs

In most cases when the consciousness triumphs over the ego in a temptation the result is that the ego involved in the temptation subsides and retreats to the one’s subconscious.

While the consciousness that has been battling and emerges to occupy the centre of one’s psychology and mind and the result is this authentically happy state.

Furthermore in defeating the ego during a temptation the consciousness used its love and its wisdom to do so, and so one’s consciousness continues to vibrate with these qualities leaving us to experience light and love.

Conclusion

Just as Master Samael says: “temptations is fire and triumph over temptation is light”. New wisdom and light comes to us when we defeat temptation and the opposite when we fail to give in to temptation. We go deeper into darkness, become more confused, get demoralised etc. etc.

The comprehension that will be our balm for our redemption or escape from the struggles within the temptation becomes more and more elusive and escapes us evermore, making us weary, lonely, disappointed in ourselves, resenting and envying others, losing ourselves and stuck watching the days go by wile within ourselves just standing still slipping back.

An Internal Problem – Wanting Two Opposite Things at Once - (299)

Introduction

There are many problems that we can face in life and in the work on ourselves, though the common one is an internal type of problem where in essence we really want two things at the same time.

Same Nature - No Problem but Different Nature - Problem

Normally that is no problem when both things are of the same type like two pairs of shoes or two ice creams or two books etc. but when the two things are inconsolable opposites we have a problem. For example, we may want one thing that belongs to the ego but yet we do not want to leave or abandon the path.

Our Problem

We know though that if we go and get what the ego wants we will be in trouble with the path and we know if we go deeper into the path we will have forget about what the ego wants, so until we decide one side we have a problem and dear me – a lot internal struggles.

Or when we want something from life and something from the path as well, and we know that we can’t have both of them, a problem arises inside of ourselves. We can only have one, sometimes we can have both when the thing from life does not interfere with our work but when it will harm or greatly interfere with our work and a very strong and big ego within wants we usually fall into a problem state.

Solving the Problem

This problem is solved when in the end we settle for one thing. That is how the problem is solved, but to get to that solution is difficult. It can be arrived by help from others and by working on the ego that wants that thing from life or that particular thing that it wants. This can take a long time, that does not matter as long as the solution is found. Though the longer it takes the longer we are delayed, but don’t worry about that, just work!

Conclusion

Wanting two opposite things, the path and the ego causes problems within us and this inner contradiction and internal fighting harms us and makes us resistant and negative towards people especially those people who are working on themselves and are apparently doing well in their work.

Anyhow we have to go ahead and work on the ego that wants its object and then solve the problem that way. In the end you may be able to get what the ego wants but within the work and when it is gotten from within the work it is no longer ego anymore.

A problem gives us an amazing chance for more definition and triumph over a part of ourselves, so in disguise they are a help. You feel great when you solve it! Trust me!

When Under Temptation – Let Thoughts Go! - (298)

Introduction

When under temptation there are many things that a person can do to help themselves. One important and very effective recourse is to do with one’s thoughts.

Thoughts Create, Sustain and Intensify Temptation

Observe them but try very hard to release or let the thoughts go related to the temptation. This is very important because the temptation is made worse and perhaps was even created from thoughts. The thought and us following and thinking about the thoughts creates the temptation and creates a state in us where we can’t resist the temptation.

To think about the temptation is to put fuel onto the fire, making it burn out of control. When we lose control is when we fall into the temptations and that is all brought about believe it or not by our thoughts.

Release Tempting Thoughts Enter Control

Our thoughts make us happy or very sad. It all relies in not thinking. So please please just let go of the thoughts related to the temptation. See and hear the thoughts but then release them into the wind. Perhaps watch a movie, walk outside, clean the house, talk to a friend do something anything that occupies your mind and then when you are in a calmer and more controlled state of mind go to investigate deeply those tempting thoughts. This really works! Try it!

Conclusion

We must all have a way to counter the temptations of the ego and put it never to forget into our first aid kit or tool box or armoury depending which one take more your fancy.

End (298).

There is No Devil as We Commonly Imagine there to be - (297)

Introduction

The common idea of the Devil is that the Devil is some kind of an entity, usually male, that has become the head of all evil or is even the source of it, occupies a throne and dwells in the inferior regions of the Earth, namely hell and from there fights against God and the forces of good for the control over human beings and the world.

In summary popular belief has it, that the devil is an external entity that tempts us and tries to lure us into his snare to capture and enslave our soul in evil. Very rare would it occur to us that this belief of the devil being outside or external to us is something that is mistaken and the Devil is really inside of us.

Devil Inside

In some ways we do believe that we have a devil inside, because we know ourselves to some extent and we know that we have a very dark side and for that reason we say that the devil is inside. Even Michael Hutchence of INXS wrote that song: “Devil Inside” perhaps in recognition of this point that we all have some inner darkness and this could be the Devil, but Gnosis says that the devil inside is actually something different.

However, this is not really the point, even though it is getting closer. The actual point is that this darkness is due to the essence having been fragmented and conditioning and the then the fragmented consciousness having fallen asleep. But the devil inside is different to this. The devil is actually a part of ourselves that each one of us carries inside of ourselves.

The devil inside is a reflection of our interior Divinity, or the shadow of our interior Divinity, where the Devil that we have inside of us is there polarised in the ego or darkness so as to train us, tempt us and help us to ascend spiritually. In people who are not working to cultivate their spiritual virtues etc. and ascend spiritually the Devil inside of them is black and works, if they want to become degenerated, to become more degenerated etc. etc.

How the Devil Inside is Transformed as we Work

It has been known by many initiates of the past that the Devil was inside of us and was a reflection of our own interior Divinity. And as we have the ego the Devil inside of us is polarised with darkness so as to help those who want to work to lift their lift of Being. As we eliminate the ego we whiten the Devil inside and make him whiter and whiter until he is free and becomes and Archangel. So then the Devil has the trident because the trident tells us that the devil is inside and typically he, is a reflection of our Being the inner Trinity, the Father,, the Son and the Holy Spirit inside of is.

Legend of Lucifer

Very briefly the commonly known version of eh legend of Lucifer is that, Lucifer was an marvellous angel who sat at the right hand of God and fell and then became the Devil. Well true, but true in the sense of our interior panorama. When we fell from Divinity our interior Lucifer fell with us and this part of our interior Divinity who was at the right hand of our Being when we were with our God (our Real Being). As we are fallen our Lucifer is fallen to into the ego and his function is when we start to raise ourselves up out of the mud of the Earth he will help us but using the left hand instead of the right.

Lucifer means bringer of light and that is precisely what he does, he brings light to us when we work on ourselves trying to conquer his temptations. That is his true function in us. How could a Devil outside of us, who just tries to enslave us bring us light, once again the popular belief in its depth does not really make sense.

Conclusion

True there does exist evil entities in this world and in the worlds that we can not see, touch and feel from here within the physical world. There are certainly even orders and hierarchies among the entities that personify evil. There is even a boss of them all and sure they do try to bring human beings into evil and they work to promote evil in the world, however as a someone that is equal to God or can rival God, that is going too far. Even these characters of evil are not beyond the Divine Law and can not escape it either. The Divine Law governs them, regulates them and will later submit them.

Why the Demons Hate the Angels or Masters of the White Lodge - (296)

The Reason Why

Very simply, the reason is because deep down within a demon or a black magician is the innate knowledge of what the true and real nature of the human being, of the soul and the Real Being (spirit) really is. However the demon at some point has failed to all of this and the Angels and Masters of the White Lodge are very painful reminders of this. Because of their failure, in one or another ego they can not come to terms that others have triumphed and so they feel the pain of their failure and the disbelief that others can triumph and so out of that pain, or to compensate that pain they hate the masters of the White Lodge and scoff at them with disbelief that they are really so white, because they failed they can not believe others triumphed.

Once were White

Many demons were once white or at least started off in the white path or the path to the freedom of consciousness and the development of one’s inner Real Being, however they fell or failed. That is how they became black as a compensation for the failure. They found success in evil or darkness, what they coveted from the light they found in evil but in the opposite polarisation. There are powers of the light and powers of the darkness.

Except under it all, they still know that they failed to the knowing of nature and reality as it is seen in its clearest light and they separated or divorced themselves from their inner true reality and created the dark one.

Conclusion

To compensate for their failure they go deep into the dark side of things and become a success in that area that is how they became black and that is why they hate the Masters of the White Lodge, they hate them for triumphing over the wrong and the ego in themselves.

What’s with the Trident, the Devil Has it, Neptune has it, Shiva has it…? - (295)

Trident

The trident is something curious and if it were not for the Greek God Poseidon and the Roman God Neptune (God of the seas) and the Indian God Shiva we would think that the trident is something entirely of the Devil and therefore evil.

Then you start to think rationally, well it is only a spear with three prongs or heads and some farmers use pitch forks with three prongs. Three is a good number, it can’t be that bad and then the natural next question to ask ourselves is, so then why does the Devil have a trident or why is the devil depicted having a trident?

Master Samael Clarifies

Thankfully as always, Master Samael sets things clear, he certainly clears up this mini confusion of ours related to the trident.

The Three Points

Master Samael says that the trident’s three points present the three primary forces of nature, the three Logoi, the Holy Affirming (The Father of Christianity), the Holy Negating (the Son of Christianity) and the Holy Conciliating (The Holy Spirit of Christianity).

The Devil is Inside

He also says that the Devil is really something that each one of us carries inside of ourselves and is a reflection of our interior Divinity, or the shadow of our interior Divinity, where the Devil that we have inside of us is there polarised in the ego or darkness so as to train us, tempt us and help us to ascend spiritually. In people who are not working to cultivate their virtues etc. and ascend spiritually the Devil inside of them is black and works, if they want to become degenerated that is, to become more degenerated etc.

Why the Devil is Depicted with the Trident

So then after this explanation the reason why the Devil is depicted as having the trident is because originally when the Devil was described and given an image or form, it was known by those initiates of the time that the Devil was inside of us and was a reflection of our own interior Divinity. And as we have the ego the Devil inside of us is polarised with darkness so as to help those who want to work to lift their level of Being. As we eliminate the ego we whiten the Devil inside and make him whiter and whiter until he is free and becomes an Archangel. So then the Devil has the trident because the trident tells us that the devil is inside and typically he, is a reflection of our Being the inner Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit inside of is.

Conclusion

The trident is an expression of the power of the three primary forces of the Cosmos, of nature and of the Divinity within us. The Devil has the trident to tell us that really the Devil is inside of us and his role is to help us to raise spiritually through his training which mostly comes in the way of temptations of all kinds. The trident signifies that he is the reflection of the inner Divinity (inner Trinity, the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit).

Shiva has the trident to represent the three aspects of Divinity and in Taoism the Trident represents the three pure ones or the Taosist Trinity. Poseidon has the trident to represent the Law of Three, the creative power that is in the waters of life, as Poseidon is the God of the Earth’s waters, a primordial God that witnessed the creation of the Earth and therefore also much else of creation.

Helped by Virtue of the Future - (294)

Our Future

If we are working in Gnosis we create a line for ourselves, and that line when extended forward in time creates a future. This means that if we continue as we are going now we will create a future for ourselves and that future of course will be bright and one that is beneficial for ourselves spiritually speaking, and also humanity.

Future as Collateral

Knowing this that are future will be bright (everyone’s future in the work will be bright) we can be helped now in the present, so that that bright future of ours, where we will be very helpful to ourselves and humanity can come true.

Ask for Help Borrowing on the Future

We can ask for help by virtue of our future, and this did happen to Master Samael it has been said. There was a moment in Master Samael’s life and path where he needed help and he was granted help by the Christ because it was said that in the future he (Master Samael) will write many books that will immensely benefit humanity spiritually speaking. Help by virtue of the future in Master Samael’s case worked, and as it is a principle it can work for us too now in our current time and place or standing in the work. Well of course, the more of a firm promise we are the more secure the negotiation will be and more likely we will be helped.

Conclusion

When we are really stuck and need help we can always ask for help from the Master’s and our own Being when needed.

We Bring Certain Tests upon Ourselves - (293)

Introduction

We actually bring certain tests upon ourselves, this is surprising but true. Our normal idea of the tests is that they come to us unexpectedly, in a moment’s notice without us being aware of them and without us being able to avoid them. That idea is certainly true, I’m sure we have all experienced one or another test small or large in that way. However there are tests or certain situations that become tests all because we prepare them or lay down the circumstances for them to unfold all by ourselves, well not entirely by ourselves there is always the help of others.

The image above depicts the classical trial of the elements.

Foresight is Key

These types of tests can be avoided and diverted as they are developing if we are smart enough and have enough foresight. We actually prepare some of our temptations and difficulties by dabbling and by thinking about such situations and the act of thinking about them tends to bring them to us, even being scared of certain situations actually brings them to us.

Gaining Foresight

Foresight is best gained by looking into the future using cause and effect. If we are aware of the way things currently are, we can then project using the principle of cause and effect the future circumstances that will involve us.

Conclusion

In our thoughts are the seeds of our future circumstances, just think now and then if what we are thinking or hoping were to come true what circumstances would unfold before us or actually around us with us being right in the very middle of them. It is always good to take this into account and use the future as a tool or a motivation to change the present.
