We are Part of the Earth

We usually think that we are something separate, distinct or different to the Earth. When we think that, of course it opens the way for us in our minds to justify our abuse of the Earth. To rob its precious metals and minerals, to control, destroy and profit from its vegetable and animal life. We think that the Earth and us are different, that the Earth will keep on living even if we continue to abuse the Earth.

The truth is though that we are really an important part of the Earth. We are actually an organ of the Earth. The Earth is really our Mother, she is the one that gives us life and sustains our life. We are the ones that are dependent on her. How wrong our way of thinking is. It is also important to say at this point though, that she the Earth is in some way, dependent on us as well, we will see how later on in this post.

Humanity as an Organ of the Earth

We say in Gnosis that if we were to die, that is if the whole human race were to die out, the Earth would soon die out as well. We are the Earth’s most important organ.

Gnosis says that esoterically speaking among many other things that the human being is, the human being is a transformer of energies. The human being (through its three brains) actually receives cosmic forces or energies, absorbs them, transforms them and later transmits them to the Earth, so that the Earth can be nourished. The Earth is fed from the cosmos we say in Gnosis. So the Earth also needs food and is dependent on the cosmos and us to receive that food.

Every animal, plant, tree and mineral or rock does the same thing, though they receive different cosmic energies and transmit different kinds of energies to the Earth.

So we, in conclusion are an organ of the Earth and we are part of the Earth and we are necessary for the survival of the Earth. Also we live off the Earth and we are totally dependent on her and the full functioning of all her systems.

Earth’s Machinery

We are part to the Earth’s mechanisms and machinery. We are a great cog in her natural machinery. The important question to ask here is what really ties us to the Earth? We may think that it is our need for food, we may think that it is our need for water, that it is our need for shelter, but really what ties us to the Earth, is this special esoteric organ known in Gnosis and also to those who have studied Gurdjieff and the teachings of the Fourth Way School, as the kundabuffer organ.

The kundabuffer organ was given to humanity in a very remote past indeed. Among the reasons why it was given to us, is the reason to fascinate and hypnotise us with life. I would actually say fascinate rather than hypnotise. Hypnotise or hypnosis came later.

In conclusion, it is the kundabuffer organ that kept that remote humanity tied or linked to the mechanics of the planet. It also made them more willing participants in the mechanics and machinery of the planet.

Kundabuffer Organ

A brief analysis of the name kundabuffer is illustrative. Looking carefully at the name shows us the word kundabuffer (introduced by Gurdjieff) is a compound word containing the word ‘kunda’ and the word ‘buffer’. The ‘kunda’ relates to the particular name given to that organ, the ‘buffer’ word indicates the essential property of the kundabuffer organ. It reveals that the kundabuffer organ is there to stop us from receiving or perceiving something in its fullest form. Basically, that something is the reality in its actual real or crude form, it essentially buffers reality. It does not allow us to receive the full impact of reality, instead it makes possible that we perceive reality through our own lenses which are the egos and the concepts that we have.

Important Aspect of the Kundabuffer

One important aspect of the kundabuffer organ, actually it is better if we stop here and say that, right now the current humanity does not have the kundabuffer organ but has the consequences of that organ. In fact Master Samael says that we don’t have it physically as we did in the very remote past but what we do have is only a very small part of it that is located at the very end of the coccyx bone.

Actually though our ego or “I’s” have a kundabuffer organ that is part of their internal constitution. It is present in the egos in the form of an energy that points downwards. The kundabuffer of the ego is channel that sends our psychic energy down to the Earth whenever it is wasted egoically. So for example, when we get angry we are use the energy related with the centres of our human machine (intellect, emotion and motor), where that energy may go into shouting, yelling and hitting things, though some of that energy also goes to the Earth through the astral component of the kundabuffer organ that each ego has. We don’t have the kundabuffer as whole because if we did we would be irreconcilable demon. Mind you there are some of them in the world.

One of its key components is the relationship the kundabuffer has with sex. Hard wired into the kundabuffer organ or one of its properties is the reproduction of the race. There have been numerous wars in human history with enormous casualties. Though the human race has bounced back with great force, and this is due to a property within the kundabuffer organ.

Which rightly so, must be there to keep the mechanics of nature going. If we die out so does creation or so does the Earth. We (humanity) have to be kept alive for the Earth to function. So how alarming is that? The kundabuffer is the one that has our sexual functions under control, actually together with the Moon they both in fact exert an influence over our sexuality.

Kundabuffer and Hypnosis

The kundabuffer works by means of hypnosis. One of the most powerful tools of hypnosis is fantasy and concepts.

In fact the hypnotic power of the ego is in its tail. Each ego that has not been worked upon intensely has a tail and that tail is where the maximum of its hypnotic power resides.

Hypnosis is to not see the truth. Each concept is not the truth, and of course fantasy is the truth. The problem is that we are hypnotised and we believe in those concepts and fantasies that are not true. When we stop being hypnotised we awaken. We are in fact hypnotised because we are asleep.

Kundabuffer and Sex

There is a link between sex and the brain always. The kundabuffer is linked to the brain. To the sexual force. In fact what really eliminates the kundabuffer is the kundalini which is risen by means of the sexual transmutation (upward flow of sexual energy). Furthermore it was made by and developed by fornication, by expelling the sexual energy. That is why there is the tempting serpent of Eden, that actually tempted ancestral man into spilling the semen during the sexual act. Which is a symbol of the kundabuffer, it even physically looked like a downward flowing snake.

The tempting serpent of Eden is also the same tail of Satan which is the kundabuffer organ developed to engulf the person as a whole where they become a demon or a malignant entity.

The kundabuffer is highly related to the ego of lust. It is linked to imagination and so is the sexual force. The sexual force is creation and so is the kundabuffer, but in the negative sense. The kunabuffer Master Samael says has the power to create concepts and new egos.

The Need to Use Will

Certain periods of our life and our esoteric work require more the use of will more than anything else.

Will and the Work on the Ego

There are times in the work on the ego where we get stuck. We repeat the same mistakes every day and what’s more we look forward to it and something inside us enjoys making them. We have a problem we are on the side of the ego.

We know that to dissolve the ego we have to first get to be on the side of wanting to dissolve it and then next on the side of action, that is actually dissolving it.

To get to that side we have to at times use will, more than anything else. Of course, if we can complement the use of will with other qualities such as love, positive thinking then that will greatly help.

We have to at times take the step of imposing our will over that ego, we have to voluntarily take the step to not please and feed the ego. Of course that is difficult, bitter and dry. Though if we don’t do it we will only keep repeating the same mistakes and suffer the same consequences over and over again.

Will and Hope

The use of will in some ways can be our last hope. We say to ourselves now I am going to use will to fulfil my plan and I will succeed. Upon hearing these words we feel great hope.

This is incomplete and can be a form of self-deception! We have to take action! We must actually act on this promise to ourselves!

Using Will Effectively

We fail in using will because we have the wrong attitude. We think that using our will is difficult, painful, boring and like dragging uphill a heavy rock. When we think like this we end up failing and any other distraction seems so much better.

The key is to add yearning, excitement, pleasure and positive emotion to the use of will. That is the key! If using our will seems like a bitter duty it won’t be long before we fail. Especially when no-one is forcing or pushing us to get something done.

Combine Will with Positive Emotion

That is the key combine the use of your will with pleasure or positive exciting and enticing emotions. Think of how much benefit achieving this goal will bring to you. Think of how much pleasure and enjoyment you get when practicing or dissolving this ego. See all the benefits in a very convincing way.

Love using your will and love what using your will, will bring to you. For example in relation the death of the ego think of how much better we will feel with this ego gone, even if it is a very pleasurable ego. Or an ego rather that brings us some sort of pleasure.

You know we can always get pleasure from different sources and from different means that have nothing to do with that particular ego.

Try it!

So try this technique right now! Use it in your life to work towards your esoteric goals. Practice! Love your act of practicing. It will benefit you, while the ego wastes your time and the results of that will not benefit you! Go and do it! Or just as the Nike logo use to say: Just Do it!

Having a Good Day in the Work

Each Day

We all have a certain number of days to live. It makes sense that we try to live each day as intensely as possible.

Use each day to take a step further towards our goals.

Each day is a new opportunity. Each day is a new beginning. If we failed yesterday then today is your time to succeed.

Each day is a life in miniature. If we do well in our day we will do well in life. Because really our life is the sum of all of the days we have lived.

Start of the Day

This is most important. If we start our day well the rest of it tends to unfold that way.

Wake up early! This is the best way to get ahead. If we wake up early and get all that we need for the day organised, all the better. The clearer we feel and the better our morale towards the coming day is.

On the other hand when we sleep in we miss or lose a big chunk of the day. The result is that we have to hurry and our mind is not still or organised. Our morale is low because we gave into lazy impulses and we feel some degree of guilt, which always makes us to feel low.

Just something on the side, sometimes we need to sleep because the body is tired. If we feel tired and we are going to sleep in try to have everything organised before going to sleep. Go so far even to write down your plan for the next day. That way you will wake up and it won’t take long to get your mind clear and organised. In fact your mind is more or less already organised, all you have to do is carry out the plan.

Your Resolution

To go over your resolution to achieve your goals is very important! Do this every morning! See the big picture of your life, that your life is really for you to get your realization, which means more than anything else to dissolve the ego and pay our karma.

If you have reminded yourself intensely of your resolution then it will stick with you for the rest of the day. Remembering it through the day further strengthens it.

During the Day

The best way to act during the day is to follow these seven principles.

1. Use the day to die psychologically or in other words to change.
2. Do your best in all that you do.
3. Work towards your spiritual goals as well as the human ones (though give them less priority). Be constant in this and never forget your spiritual goals.
4. Be vigilant not to create more karma.
5. Do good. Be of service to your fellow men.
6. Fulfill your promises. That includes not promising things that you can’t or most likely won’t fulfill.
7. Pray to your interior Divinity. Do not ever forget them! You are working for them!

Summary

If we fulfill these points that I have mentioned in this blog we are going to have a good day. We will be happy I can guarantee you that. You will also have saved a lot of energy, which you can make use of at night for your esoteric practices. You will also be at peace, which is a great advantage or benefit. What really brings you this peace is that you have done your best at what is most urgent, which is your spiritual (your mystical death) work.

Sacrifice

Definition

The best definition of sacrifice comes from Master Samael when he says that sacrifice is the conscious or clairvoyant choice of one good to superior to another. There is much that can be said about this. This blog is going to concentrate on examining sacrifice from the point of view of the psychological work.

In the Psychological Work

There comes a point in the work of the ego where we can become stagnated. There could be many reasons for this, however one of the main ones is that we don’t want to sacrifice the ego. We use the ego for to get or do something and over time we have become attached to using it and attached to what it gives us.

You know, we may need what it gives us, but usually when the ego gives something to us it does it harming or disadvantaging others or it gives something to us that is later a disservice to us.

We usually get stagnated because we don’t want to sacrifice the thing that the ego gives us or if the thing that the ego gives us is ok we don’t want to sacrifice the way the ego gives it to us because for example it may be a lot quicker than if we were to get it by more honest or decent means.

The Point of Sacrifice

The comes a point where we are not going anywhere in the dissolution of the ego and so we realise that we have to do something and that something usually means that we have to make a sacrifice.

Remember sacrifice is a conscious choice where we have to renounce or let go of the ego because we consciously know that with that ego we are not going anywhere. We have to sacrifice it in order to progress.

The best is when the consciousness really processes it. Then because it is the consciousness that decides it we have the will to do it and we progress.

Conclusion

We have to sacrifice something to get something superior. Please remember when we sacrifice something we get another thing and that if it is on the side of one’s essence or one’s esoteric or spiritual work one will be happier.

So don’t worry, don’t feel scared. Go ahead and do it!

Why We Have Come to Creation?

The Question:

This is the question why have we come to the creation. The answer, or actually to be more correct an answer is the following.

The Answer:

Answer One

Maybe the most the realistic answer is karma. Even Master Samael says that at the dawn of creation the Gods cried. Because they knew that coming to creation meant that they had to pay their unpaid karmic debts.

Karma or the law of cause and effect is only processed in creation where there is relativity and duality at work. Furthermore, karma can only be created in creation when there is relativity and duality at play. In the great cosmic night when everything returns to the Absolute the place of unity or the place of the law of zero karma is annulled. Why you may ask, because in the unity there is no difference and no differences can be produced there is balance, nothing needs correcting or balancing which is what the law of karma ultimately achieves. The law of karma always seeks to return things to their natural balance, by compensating for example to bring something up that is in relativity down or unfairly disadvantaged.

So in conclusion to this answer if there is karma (basically residual karma from the previous cosmic day) there will be creation.

Answer Two

The other answer is that creation is like a mirror whereby the unity can contemplate itself. In the Absolute when there is no creation there is only unity, there is only one thing. In order for something to see itself a mirror is needed and if there is only one thing – the unity there is no mirror, there has to be two things or a few more in other a words a multiplicity.

So then for the unity to know itself, a multiplicity is needed. Then so the unity in creation (the mirror) divides itself into a multiplicity so that each part can look at the other parts and get to know themselves. We are those parts of the unity. We all have the same source and we are those individual parts that look at each other and get to know each other. In other words cosmically we have to know each other and we are all mirrors by which we can see and get to know ourselves with.

Conclusion everyone is a mirror from which we can learn about ourselves. 

Do & Don’t Depend Upon Your Esoteric Past

Take thing blog in balance. Do depend on esoteric past when it is convenient but to do so all the time is a disservice. Read below to know why…

What we mean by esoteric past is that the esoteric or spiritual level that we attained in the past.

Do Depend

Depend on that if you can remember that is, that you were on the path before and had attained some degree of enlightenment or awakening or realisation. Depend on it in the sense that the force and knowledge that you need now can be there that you can do it. All you have to do is free it!

But that is all don’t depend on that anymore. Being something in past won’t save you now! What you do now is what counts. Don’t fight with less intensity because you were this or that in the past. The past is gone! Gone! Work hard now!

Don’t Depend

Don’t depend on your esoteric past because in many ways you have to detach from that and you have create from zero your work. You have to raise yourself once again by recapitulating what you have attained and learnt before but what is more important is that you have learn new things and acquire new knowledge and more wisdom and love than what you had before.

That is one of the reasons why we fell because our learning was not complete and this time round we have to complete that learning.

So don’t get stuck in what you were in the past. That won’t save you now! Transcend it! Fill the gaps with new knowledge, comprehension, wisdom and love to surpass the point where we fell in the past.

Daily Resolution

Important!

What is very important in the Gnostic Esoteric Work is to have invigorate each and every day your resolution to dissolve the ego or a given ego or to achieve your esoteric goals.

Why?

Without a firm resolution or a firm yearning to dissolve the ego or a given ego for example, we become lukewarm or weak in our work. A strong resolution or wanting, is our background strength or our backbone.

Our resolution is the one that makes us to fight against the impulses of the ego and to move forward in its dissolution.

Our resolution is like a reminder to work on that ego. Our resolution helps in remembering the work. A strong resolution helps us to do well in the work on the ego especially in the moment when the ego manifests. Co-incidentally, this where always a weak resolution or no resolution will leads us to fail.

How?

When you wake up in the morning remember your goals, that you have to die in yourself, that today is a special day in that we have the chance to advance in our work. Think of how many mistakes the ego has made you to make and how painful those mistakes were.

Bring your will into the picture and sincerely tell yourself that you want to die in this ego. Feel that you want to (If you don’t want to – you have to yearn to be able to sincerely feel that you want to eliminate that ego) eliminate that ego.

After you feel that act! You must do something! You have to act to make the resolution strong! The more you act the stronger your resolution will be.

What If I Fail?

We will probably fail sometimes – what is more important is that you stand up again. Just get up and strengthen your resolution once again work harder. This time, with the extra motivation of wanting to wash away the mistake and to enter the path of progressing toward the dissolution of that ego.

Our Interpretations & their Relation to Lust

The Question

Are things or people belonging to the opposite sex really so attractive, appealing etc. or is it our interpretation of the impression that we find so attractive and appealing?

The Answer

Both, but the one that has much more weight is our interpretation. A person of the opposite sex may be beautiful or handsome but what happens in us after that is the result of what we have inside us in the form of what we call lust.

What is Lust Then?

Lust is a collection of impressions relating to sexuality. Lust is multi-faceted and it pertains to our sexuality. However, we must be clear and say that the sexuality that lust presents is one that is trapped or conditioned by senses, sensations and matter.

We can also say that lust is a whole collection of concepts and thinking modes that we carry within and don’t unfortunately change with time. Most of those concepts and thinking modalities are untrue and that is what gets us into trouble.

Interpretations

We may see a person and then think thoughts, project some images, feel a certain emotion and feel some sort of agitation in the sexual centre. Ok, well what we want to say here with this example is that we are experiencing our own forces produced by our own interpretation.

It is not the person that is really the problem or the force that is holding our attention and our thoughts, feeling and sensations. It is really the sensations and emotions that we produce that grab our attention. We are addicted to our own sensations. If we could not feel anything no person of the opposite sex would ever be a problem for us.

Summary

We have to make this distinction so that we can at any moment be able to separate from lust. If we can not separate from the ego we are in trouble. It will do what it wants with us.

The Hermetic Seal

Following on from the previous blog, the hermetic seal is something to do every day.

What is the Hermetic Seal?

The Hermetic Seal is a resolution that we take every morning. The goal of the Hermetic Seal is to save energy, so that that saved energy can be invested in our psychological and esoteric work.

How is it Practiced?

The Hermetic Seal is a practice where as soon as we wake up, we make the firm decision to not identity with anything. This ‘anything’ includes thoughts, emotions, memories, internal images, events, people, words and any sort of impression that we receive during the day.

The practice of the Hermetic Seal is really about exercising our self-observation or alertness and our will. We first have to observe or notice that we are identified and then apply our will to disengage from that identification.

The Internal Tongue

A major part of this practice is not letting the internal tongue go wild. We have to be aware of the internal tongue from moment to moment.

What we need to do is to observe what our internal tongue is saying and release whatever issue the internal tongue is chattering on about.

Don’t let it go wild. Rein it in!

Realistic Practice

We won’t be able to practice the Hermetic Seal perfectly. It takes an enormous amount of practice and psychological work. So, don’t expect to be practicing it perfectly, expecting to do so will only bring you tension, disappointment and a head ache.

Just practicing for a short time during the day will allow you to taste the benefits of it. So start off naturally, the most important thing is be consistent and make a start and when you forget restart and don’t feel bad about it – just restart.

Just a little something, your ability to practice the Hermetic Seal will vary from day to day so don’t worry if on a given day you are weak, just keep practicing.

Practice it!

So just take action and start practicing the Hermetic Seal and experiment for yourself, feel how much it benefits you. Don’t worry if you can’t practice it for a long time or that you can’t do it perfectly. You won’t be able to. The most important thing is that you just do it at your capacity and level of ability.

Your Seminal Pearl - A Goal for Every Day

A Worthwhile Goal

It is really worthwhile to use each day of our precious life, to take a step further toward some sort of goal. As we are studying the Gnosis the most beneficial goal that we can have in the beginning, is the fabrication of the seminal pearl.

While studying Gnosis and esotericism we can invent so many goals for ourselves. Though not all of them are really worthwhile. The most worthwhile goal that I can think of is something that can not be lost with time and directly benefits our essence and its development.

Such a goal has to do with the dissolution of the ego. I say this because whichever ego is eliminated stays dissolved for the existence it has been eliminated in, as well as in any future existences, unless of course, it is resuscitated or recreated.

What is the Seminal Pearl?

The seminal pearl is a body of essence that is formed from the particles of essence that have been freed from the ego. So when we dissolve parts of an “I” or small “I’s” the particles of essence that are freed collect or gel together to form the seminal pearl. Later on as the seminal pearl grows and along with the Alchemical work the seminal pearl becomes the golden embryo. And in the fifth initiation of fire the golden embryo fuses with the human soul.

Do We Have it?

We may already have our seminal pearl, or we may not have it as yet. Even if we have started to create it, we may not even know it. If we though, are very new to Gnosis and the Gnostic work, the chances are that we haven’t created it as yet. I’ll explain.

What is an important part of this goal and our esoteric work is to find out if we have the seminal pearl and how much essence we have free.

Knowing this will allow us to work toward this goal with direction and certainty.

How do I Find Out?

We have to resort to asking our inner Divinity or a trustworthy Master. Master Samael is very trustworthy as are the master of the Divine Law.

The answer will come to us internally, either during meditation or through a dream or a conscious astral experience.

In short we have to ask and ask until we find out. Don’t stop knocking.

What is Best?

The best is to devote our time and effort to the dissolution of the ego which frees our essence and creates our seminal pearl.

Everyday must see ourselves closer to this aim. We must create everyday more and more of the seminal pearl. We do this by dying in the ego and this blogspot, I really hope it will help you in this work.
