Gnosis Wisdom

At some point we crossed the line, that is went a bit too far with our pride. Imposing our authority or will or force. We did it again and again in so many different ways accruing karmic debt as went along. Life after life we repeated the same pattern... Then one day either because our karmic debt has become so great or because our Inner Being wishes for a change or we are working on or for the initiatic path, the pendulum swings to the other side… Then we go to the other side where we are no longer crossing the line humiliating others, and it is us that is getting humiliated and we very often find ourselves in the lower position. If this change were not to happen, we would never be able to pay our karmic debts due to pride and we would never be able to dissolve our pride.   We understand that walking the path means to lighten progressively our karmic debt and dissolve our egos, especially our pride which is so strong. So often we see two opposites side by side in life.  Tall city mansions along side city slums. Poverty and wealth side by side. Pristine healthy nature along side polluted and poisoned waterways. Meek and content indigenous people beside large corporate mines pillaging the earth with sophisticated machinery 24x7.  A church next to a brothel, a hospital next to a church and many more... This is because of duality and to teach people or rather those who wish to see and listen that we must learn from the opposite to ours and move to the middle. The poor to be inspired and moved by the rich to come out of their poverty, and the wealthy to lower themselves from the lofty fantasy of themselves and come closer to the middle ground of giving to those in need, and appreciating life itself. Dropping the fantasy that we have time... Each instance of duality is a great opportunity of contrast which serves to create light. End (4928).

To consciously apply any virtue or quality of our Inner Being, we need to take into account the duality inside the virtue and the duality of the virtue, that is, its two sides. We are interested in consciously applying the virtue because that is what we need to do die within ourselves. On one hand we need to dissolve the ego and on the other, we need to bring the virtue to fully replace the ego and educate the essence that is freed as we work on the ego. For example to consciously apply justice we need to know about mercy and rigour as they are the two columns of the law and we need to know about the two extremes of justice. That is unjust because of being too lenient and injustice because of being too harsh. Thinking a bit, all that we have is that which we truly need. All that we don't have is that which we don't need.  We could have other things and because we don't need them, they would make life more difficult right? Like an illness, a leisure boat with monthly maintenance fees. There is so much we can be grateful for not having - like ill-health, a sore tooth, a unreliable car, a painfully slow computer, unruly neighbours, etc. If we have some of the above things then it is because we 'need' them for some reason. When we get identified with some drama in our life we start to lose our common sense and our will power. We get really confused thinking and feeling that everything we think and feel is right. Then we make so many mistakes in our decisions that we normally wouldn't make. We think its good to drop prudence and respect which we normally wouldn't do because of its known benefits, but when identified we think we are right to do that and then things get worse for us. We become our own worst enemy when identified... End (4923).

Basically us human beings don't look inside ourselves because we don't have anything to look inside for.  The work on ourselves gives us plenty of reasons to look inside. If we were just to face life with an attitude that wanted us to know the deep reasons for things we would also end up looking inside of ourselves.  So because the system in charge of the way we live, does not encourage us to truly know the deep reasons for why things happen to us in our life and why we are the way we are, we don't look inside ourselves and further more we don't have any reason to look inside of ourselves. On the Path and in the Work On the path and in the work our karmic debts are all about learning a lesson so that we don't repeat the error. As it is by the law of recurrence that we keep repeating our mistakes accruing more karmic debt. If we affected others negatively in the past and we don't remember, and we don't know that we accrued some karmic debt, that is all fine, until we now are on the path or in the work and we want to dissolve our pride and anger that remarkably unknown to us, was precisely the elements in us that affected others negatively in the past.  Then two things happen for that karmic debt to be paid. The first thing is that we get affected negatively and secondly it becomes very difficult to dissolve our pride and anger. We actually tend to strengthen our pride and anger instead. Pain and suffering just like sexuality, love, balance, energy, consciousness, health etc. are real unavoidable issues that we must face and accept. The better we know how to relate to these areas of life and ourselves the better for us and others. This post presents some guidelines on relating well with pain and suffering: 1.) Pain is unavoidable in this world with the physical body we have. 2.) Suffering which is psychological is optional. We can chose to modify it. 3.) A bit of suffering at first which saves much more suffering later is worth gold. Always choose gold. 4.) Everything costs and sometimes suffering and pain is the price. Be prepared to experience pain and suffering to get what you desire. No gain, no pain as they say. Fully accept the suffering and pain required. 5.) Recapping a little from the last post (4914): We have a karmic debt when we face unreasonable or unclear delays, obstacles, conflicts either inside or outside ourselves or both at the same time. Well, the teachings of Gnosis tell us that we did something in the past... And now it is time to balance that... The very valid question is: how do we pay and why are the circumstances this way? The Basic The basic teachings say, if we affect others negatively they will come back to affect us as equally as negatively. Ok easy to understand. In life the way karma processes is easier to see and understand.  Through the circumstances we are passing through we are basically going through what we have made others to pass through. We simply have to trust in the teaching until we know for sure by remembering the past that we did what we are currently experiencing to others. This post announces a two part series of posts that explain in general how our karmic debts are processed and how they can be paid.  The two posts to follow will cover the following: 1.) Karmic debts and their payment in life. 2.) Karmic debts and their payment on the path or in the work on ourselves. The motivation of these posts is to help us understand our life, because we all have karmic debts and to a large degree the way our debts from the past are processed determine the way our life is. In general, we have a karmic debt when we face: delays, obstacles, conflicts either inside or outside ourselves or both at the same time. If find any of the above in our life Gnosis tells us that we have done something in the past... and now it is time to pay... According to Plat0: Wisdom has four parts to it. 1.) Principle of Correctness. 2.) Principle of Justice. 3.) Principle of Fortitude. 4.) Principle of Temperance. Correctness Something done correctly is the wisest thing we can do, as if it is not correct it will falter and fail many times causing us and others much grief.  To know how to do things correctly requires wisdom. The effort to do things correctly implies effort of reflection and investigation.  Often the wisdom to do things correctly accumulates from previous learnings from mistakes.  Justice Give and take the right amount. This keeps balance and keeps all things in their orbits. Things out of their orbit brings clashes and others receiving more unbalances and unbalance is pain in one form or the other. Always give a little more, as this slight unbalance keeps things moving and flowing. To be tried next time you are angry.  Take this post out when you next feel angry and follow step by step. When you are getting angry force is being liberated. Take that force and put it without mercy (that is without consideration to any part of yourself - pride or fear) into all into your consciousness. Do the following with that force in your consciousness: 1.) Hold onto with force above all, to your Inner Being and protect your and It's dignity. 2.) Look deep into yourself for the truth about what is being said. If we have gotten angry there will always be something to look at it. 3.) Use the force liberated to accept what you find, without mercy or consideration to our pride or personality. 4.) See the solution and resolve with balance to act. Even if that be just to stay quiet and listen. 5.) With force in our consciousness pray to the Inner for light and calm and be that calm that it radiates out to those around touching their consciousness. Just try it don't think about...

"Is it edifying?" is a good question to help correct ourselves in any given moment. Anything that is edifying for both you and me is something generally done by the essence. Before any internal state and attitude sincerely ask: "Is this edifying?".  An answer will always appear. 99 times out of a 100 it will be clear. Then we know what to do. End (5246).

As mentioned in previous posts sexual energy is a tremendous force that we all have a relate to. The way we relate to our sexual energy is generally called sexuality. All the virtues and values of our essence are ways of relating to an area of life. Sexuality itself is a value. The highest form of the value of sexuality is conscious/esoteric sexuality. Whether we like it or not by the very fact that we have a sexual centre and sexual energy we have to relate to it. We can chose not to relate to it but after a while it proves to be so strong that we have to look at and relate to it. Always the better we relate to something the better for ourselves and everyone else. The worse thing we can do is to cut off that relationship to our own sexual energy. And people do cut off their relationship to it, by either castrating themselves physically, surgically removing their sexual organs, changing their sexual organs or psychologically castrating themselves by taking a vow of celibacy like the mo...

How we change from one life to the next and how we also stay the same, is the theme of this post. From one life to the next we change sex, from one life to the next we change nationality and hemispheres. From one life to the next we change colour, and from one life to the next we change social status from upper to middle, from nobility to peasant and from poverty to upper.   It all depends on the karma we have and accumulate and the lessons that our essence must learn and the lessons that our Inner Being wishes to learn and teach his essence. What has more priority in ourselves? We really have to know what factor has the most priority. Once we really know which it is, we can decide to make changes. To know something about ourselves is often to eat humble pie. Eating humble pie initially tastes bitter but after a few chews it becomes so sweet. Because we realise the benefit and we see the potential of what we can now do! We see that the Inner Being in us is not first. Though once we see we can work to change that, whereas before we couldn't do thing a bout it, but believe something untrue. To make the Inner Being first is something really huge. I watched a short video yesterday where a researcher was interviewed about positive and negative thinking.  The researcher said that the scientific evidence is outstandingly clear that human beings get the most benefit covering the most areas of their life from stopping negative thinking .  The researcher said positive thinking is great - keep it going. What is critical is to STOP negative thinking. Gnosis says the same. Well let's do it. Be really serious and strict with ourselves and let's do it day by day, moment by moment. I believe that to do this now is more important than ever. End (4908).

There are many steps to working on anger towards its full dissolution. An initial good step is to set a definite limit to its manifestation. Be fully committed to once anger passes this limit then that's it - just stop. Leave the room, walk away just stop, do whatever it takes to stop. In many cases when there is a high level of respect, the respect we have naturally sets this limit and we don't cross that line. But when we have little respect we need to set a clear line for ourselves. Then work from there to bring this line back and back working on the dissolution of that facet of anger. It's the anger without any boundary or limit that causes the most harm to ourselves and others. That is the natural limit. When anger begins to harm others and or ourselves then stop.   "An ARGUMENT is when you are trying to determine WHO is RIGHT. A conversation is when you are trying to determine WHAT is RIGHT." All the rays that we know of in Gnosis or can think of are all spiritual in nature. None of them are of matter. They have their expressions in living human beings and creatures but there is nothing in matter that says: force, medicine, art, wisdom, law etc. Force, wisdom, art, law, life, death expresses through someone who is alive... The rays are the qualities or virtues of the Absolute. End (4907).

How trust worthy is a Gnostic? A Gnostic instructor trust a student totally when it is clear that student has within him or herself made their Inner Being and the work towards it first in their life. That total trust mentioned above unites two or more people in such a way that it transcends all else and is very powerful. A Gnostic who works seriously and takes what he or she promises and says as real can be trusted. Any gnostic person that lives and conducts him or herself with an ethic that adheres strictly to the work can be trusted.  End (4905).

The essence learns through all the cycles that it is subjected to. One great cycle is the cycle of involution and evolution.  Evolution and Involution or Devolution form a circuit. It takes two opposites to form a circuit. One factor can only form a continuous line. Duality forms all the cycles, circuits and circles. About evolution and involution there can not be one without the other. They come together.  The essence learns while devolving and while evolving. We all carry within our essence the knowledge we have learned from devolving and evolving. This knowledge is the knowing of life in the four kingdoms of nature. Human, animal, plant and mineral. Sexuality and sexual energy are a very important part of our life. Both of these two factors play an important role in our psyche . Sexual energy is in every part of us. We are after all the very product of sexual energy. It is in our cells, in our mind and in our thoughts, feelings and actions... We are all sexual beings and it is not outrageous to say that the topic of sexuality and relationships of one form or another occupies a good part of our thoughts. Therefore the way we relate to sexuality and the sexual energy really determines how we feel in general, how we move through life and how we relate to others especially the opposite sex. If we fail in sexuality in any of the different ways to any degree we may begin to become angry towards sexuality and that will reflect in our interactions with the opposite sex. There are many types of anger, the worst though is the type of anger that I am going to call callous. Because it is devoid of feeling, and being devoid of feeling or any kind of remorse it easily becomes criminal. If callous anger were to act we would be jailed. The only way to work on it is by means of knowing it by its thoughts. It is anger that appears mostly after a while of extended pressure. It sometimes seems that the pressure provides a crack in our psyche where this type of anger can surface through. It can appear all of a sudden however only when the circumstances are unexpected and very intense. This anger appears by means of a switch. It is like a switch clicks and then that anger in is control and in possession of our human machine. It is an anger that quickly goes to an extreme. The only way to work with it is with the help of the Divine Mother and by displacing it as quickly from the three brains as we can. The capacity to displace it gets greater the more we try. We may lie and hide (very similar) because there is something that we have not accepted yet. It may seem that we accept everything but that is not true if we have hide something or lied about something. It is something that we are not accepting within ourselves. In other words there is something that we are lying to ourselves about. We think something is not a certain way but in reality it is that way. Once we fully accept something we stop hiding or lying. Because we no longer need to keep up some appearance that is different to the truth or to our truth. It is better to make the effort within ourselves of accepting and presenting to others the truth so that they can accept than make all the effort that goes into covering things up. End (4904).

What shines for you with deceptive gleam? Deceptive gleam means things that shine and seem to indicate the happiness and triumph of the soul, but in reality they do not. They appear to be representative of something real but in reality represent something else. I'll give some examples of deceptive gleam. • A person who owns a Lamborghini is not a God. • A person with many university degrees may not know everything about him or herself. • An attractive looking person may not be a good person or a conscious person. • Having lots of money does not mean you are a good or happy person. • Being poor does not mean you are a humble or more conscious person. • Having suffered a lot does not mean you are wise or deserve a praise. • Having a big house a very expensive shiny wedding ring, constant overseas trips does not you have a happy marriage. • Occupying a powerful position does not mean that the person has power over his or her own egos. • A very muscly and fit person is one that may not...

I always wondered why some people really have a sad face listening to Gnostic talks. Then one day listening to a talk it came to me.  It is because we are too much in the personality.  Being too much in the personality we feel that Gnosis is not important and we are wasting time or we feel that Gnosis is out of alignment with our life and interests and we feel sad. By starvation! I have often wondered about how the psychological aggregates of human beings are dissolved in the process of involution or devolution. We know by the teachings if we are given the chance to dissolve them here in life but if we don't nature will take charge of dissolving it for us. I reflect that in nature living creatures die: by violence from other creatures, by starvation, by accidents, by old age and by illness. As the ego is psychological and energetic it won't die by old age or by illness or by violence or by accident. Leaving only starvation as the only means of dying. Furthermore, other creatures and the abrasive elements of nature take care of decomposing the corpses that living creatures leave behind. I was reflecting about: "why is now the time of individual responsibility?" and I remembered a phrase from Master Samael, where he explains what happened in the Absolute before this cosmic day begun. Master Samael explains that the Gods in the Absolute during the cosmic night wanted to initiate the process of a new cosmic day and the Cosmic Common Father said to them: "you will see". Creation begun even though it seems that the Cosmic Common Father advised that it will come after creations begins will not be easy. As above so below. When we disregard advice from a higher authority, and as we all have free will we are naturally left to our own devices which means - that we are now responsible for what happens. Just like how parents say: "well do it, though it will be your mess to clean up if it goes wrong as we warned you that it could.". With many things in life it is sometimes the only way to do things. The same thing applies to the work. Sometimes we have to just start all over again. The reason why we sometimes have to take this approach is because things have become too complicated and things have become stagnant.  If the heart is still there starting again will be beneficial. If the heart is not there burning things down may not leave enough strength to start again. Discernment... End (4894).  

The centre of 'being' is the motor centre. If we are able to focus our attention through our intellectual and emotional centres on our motor centre and be totally intellectually and emotionally attentive to our motor centre we are really totally present in whatever we are doing and wherever we are. This is a peaceful state and it is also one where we can concentrate and align ourselves with the flow of life that comes from our Inner Being. It is also a state of trusting in the flow of life, that whatever we are doing right now is right and is worthy of our full presence of being. End (4893).

Facebook is very good at knowing our subconscious and therefore very good at throwing hooks which catch our subconscious and then the fascination and sleep of our consciousness follows. The overall result of this fascination or sleep of our subconscious is for our psychology as a whole, to become more focused on matter, which covers a myriad of things: shopping, our appearance, our body, fixing things, entertainment, food, the issues and things of common life made shiny and interesting... If we are ever struggling with a virtue of us not being real, then the first thing to work on is to become serious in dedicating real effort towards quality. When there is quality then it is undeniable that something is real. Before there is quality in results, there must be quality in effort. One follows the other. End (5243).

The tests of the path are set by those above and beyond us. The tests are not set by ourselves and they are not set by those who are used in the test. Nor are they set by those who are behind us in the work - like a work colleague who we know is certainly not doing the work on him or herself. We may say that a given circumstance or incident can not be a test because a person involved, reacted in the same way as they always do - so it is just karma or mechanical psychology at work and it is not a test. That may be true that the person reacted in the same way as they always do but that does not mean that they designed and orchestrated the test = the incident. Some other factor beyond them did. They were simply used to make the test possible. The tests are set by our Inner Being and the Masters who are beyond us, and they set the test using people who have predictable and programmable reactions for a very defined purpose. In times gone bye there were the temples and the masters. All a sincere seeker of the light had to do was to dedicate him or herself to gaining entrance into the temple... Once admitted into the temple, all was taken care of. One had to dedicate him or herself to the teachings, practices and order of the temple, and results would follow.  Now days in the octave in which we find ourselves in, there are few temples and few masters. There are masters yes but they are not like those of times gone by with the powers, knowledge and faculties. Now days there are no physical temples of the mysteries whose didactic of teaching and practice takes care of your aspirations to the light.  We are all left to ourselves...  The responsibility of us applying the teachings and practicing them is up to us. Not knowing the why of a difficult life circumstance for example is good and bad.  The bad is that not knowing means that we don't really understand why we are passing though such circumstances, and because we don't understand why, we find it very difficult to respond correctly so as to navigate out of them in the best possible way. In other words, not knowing the karmic debt we don't understand why and therefore we don't know what we owe and we don't how to pay it as quickly as possible. The good thing about knowing is that it forces us to know, it really piques our inquietude to know, and to know means we have to go to our consciousness and Inner Being to find out. Thus helping us to develop very important skills and to enter into closer communion with our consciousness and Inner Being. End (4890).

Introduction The forces and principles of the Arcanum presented by the major and minor arcana of the tarot are ever present in the cosmos and therefore our very own lives, as we are all a part of the cosmos. There is at least one of these principles of the major arcana influencing us and acting in and through our lives at any given moment. To be aware of our life is in some ways to know what principle is acting on our life.  The Tarot is a system of wisdom used to guide ourselves on the path and in life while walking the path. It can also be used as guidance in common life but fulfills it potential and purpose when used while walking the initiatic path. Once we know what principle is active in our life we can straight away guide our thoughts and actions. Each principle is a ruling guide. If align with that guide we get the best. We can solve almost all of our troubles by interiorization. We have to pay attention to our interior. All the time. to observe and to carefully examine all the psychological flavours that appear. Spend time discerning what the psychological emotional flavours are really about. So many times we say so many things about every angel of an issue... Then only to go inside and find just one psychological point within us.  By the power of discovering that one psychological point, everything shifts and the many things that we have said all collapse... This is how we get free. We want to be tremendous interiorizers - to be one is the first step to be an esotericist and to live a different life that is much more profound than the common mundane life lived by so many of us, including us until we one day interiorized and meditated on an issue. The key to concentration is to find something interesting in everything we come across. We all naturally and easily concentrate on the things we are interested in. We have to learn to see things of interest in the most mundane of things. When we can concentrate our attention we open the doors to our consciousness which slowly reveals new understandings, insight and revelation. This new insight and revelation is wisdom. Conclusion we must cultivate the great tendency of mind to find something interesting in every moment and in everything and in every event and then focus on it and with focused attention will come insight.
