Ray of Life Notes - (4949)

Image
Introduction This post lists some points in note form about the ray of life. Included are general notes that apply to all rays. Notes There are human beings that belong to this ray. No doubt we all know a bit about this ray, as we all have and live life and no doubt we can all benefit from the forces and wisdom of this ray. General Each ray has a function in creation.  Within 'the function' are many smaller functions. These smaller functions represent a branch of a ray. The functions of each ray is fulfilled by Divine intelligence - that is by the Monads of human beings and Divine Beings who don't have physical vehicles. Each ray works with other rays.  The other rays that a given ray works with reveal more about its function. This is a point worthy to reflect upon. That fact that many rays work together shows us the connectedness of all rays to make up the whole. It also shows the different affinities that exist in creation and amongst human beings. There does exist the af...

Third Solution is Win-Win - (4950)

The spirit of the third solution is win-win.  It is not I win and you lose or you win and I lose. We need the third solution when we are faced with two needed elements.  That is, when those two elements are for example a part of the work or a part of our life. A third solution - that is the one in which both parties benefit and co-operate towards a positive state of being and outcome, can be permanent or it can be temporary for it to later be renovated or surpassed or no longer needed. End (4950).

When we are in our Abyss we Only Talk about Ourselves - (4969)

Just a little check point. When we are in our own abyss we don't stop talking about ourselves. Hearing this we can snap out of it and leave our abyss for a while. End (4969).

The Masters are Not Perfect, Neither are We... - (4968)

Sometimes we think that the masters are perfect. I remember Master Samael saying that the one who is perfect is the Real Being. The physical vehicle is far from that. Whoever you talk to about a master will give their account of their good and bad points. After all they are human beings that had the ego and met many people while they still had the ego alive. We shouldn't fanatically defend them nor should we get disappointed nor attack them. They had their egos just as we have and we are certainly not saints. "Every saint had a past and every sinner has a future." Oscar Wilde once wrote.  Nothing is ever perfect, no human being, no organization, no computer no association no government, no policy, no law nor no rule...is fully perfect. End (4968).

Each Group has Abundance and Lack and What that Means - (4948)

Every Gnostic group has an abundance of some value and at the same time a lack of some value...  For the value that is abundant, it is to be valued, assimilated and made as conscious as possible. For the value that is lacking, it is up to each individual in the group to 'develop' that value for themselves  through one's own efforts, thereby making that value as conscious as possible. For example, in one group there may be light in abundance but little consistency in following a plan of of applying the light, in the next group there maybe a lack of light but a good level of discipline.  In the end with the values that are abundant and those that are lacking we have to do the same work - make those values as conscious as possible within us. It maybe designed by a higher intelligence that way, that certain values are abundant and certain values are lacking... This is because there are values in our particular case that we must generate and make conscious, and there are some ...

When Instinct Comes to Solve - (4947)

Introduction This post is a little bit about the instinctive centre and the conditions in which it is most active. Known Already We know that the centres of our human machine work as follows: Intellect (thinking) then Emotion (feeling) then Movement (acting, speaking etc.). Where is the instinctive centre in this flow? An Observable Function Here below is an explanation of where the instinctive centre comes into the flow mentioned above. When we have a difficult situation to solve and after numerous attempts and many efforts of the intellect, emotion and action, there is still no solution or overall improvement, the instinctive centre then comes to help. The point of this post is that one of the instinctive centre's functions is to come to the aid of the other centres when they can not relieve or solve a certain situation that is ill affecting our state of well-being. The instinctive centre gives the other centres a certain amount of time before it appears. Interesting to see how t...

Apocalypse is for the Ego not the Consciousness - (4946)

As you do with each retreat, you talk to other people studying Gnosis and you learn from them. Really each person who has studied Gnosis for some time, has valuable conscious experience with the teachings to share... While talking to someone, the topic of the 'end of times' came up and among the many impactful reflections that this someone shared, the following statement stood out: "the apocalypse is for the ego not the consciousness" We are very worried about the end of times or the external apocalypse. We don't know that we also live an internal apocalypse when we work on ourselves... If we understand and come to terms with our own internal apocalypse the external end of times will be much easier to cope with. Anyway, the point was that the apocalypses both internal and external is really for the ego. It is a process to break down the ego, its creations and structures, both in the world and inside of ourselves. The apocalypse is for the consciousness to live on ...

Things are Not Linear & Why we Give Up - (4945)

Things in the work and in the path are not linear. Meaning progress does not follow an upward sloping line. Things are more like a spiral with many zig-zags along the way. Time is round and karma is also round.  To be a bit cryptic: we wash and wash, repeating the same washing, cleaning more and more with each cycle... One of the reasons why we give up in small or big ways is because we believe our progress and the progress of things is linear.  When it seems that we are going backwards or are revisiting a previous problem or a previously experienced negative state we think we are going nowhere... We then get disheartened and give up, but according to the spiral, we may well be closer to the progress we were hoping for than it seems. In conclusion, don't give up because our apparent progress is not obeying some thought up straight line. End (4945).

Esoteric Class Notes - (4944)

Introduction This post presents notes taken during a class given by m.m.m. Notes Lion of the Law The lion has been chosen as a symbol of the Divine Law because the lion best represents the following four qualities:   1.) Power 2.) Force 3.) Sacrifice 4.) Nobility 5.) Valor Order of the Knights of the Christ The Order of the Knights of the Christ have seven foundations.  12.) Love 2.) Balance 3.) Faith 4.) Justice 5.) Freedom 6.) Peace 7.) Unity The masters that belong to this order care for the upholding of these seven foundational values.  These seven values are the values of the Cosmic Christ in the planet. That is why this order comprises masters of the Law, of Love, of Force, of Command, of Life etc. The main role of the Divine Law is to establish balance and unity within each individual.  The government of Atman and the Social Christ is where a people are governed or a society is to function based on the values of Atman and the Christ, which are the seven v...

Alchemy is a Universal Principle - (4943)

The interesting point below arose during a recently held retreat. Alchemy is a universal principle that should be taught to all, even those who may not have the possibility of putting it into practice. We often feel a bit reluctant to upset students who are elderly and single for example, with the teaching of the Alchemy, as we think that it may really upset them because it is so important and they are not in an immediate position to apply it. As was mentioned in the retreat it is correct to teach the Alchemy no matter what, as one, we never know - a person's life circumstances can change very quickly, and secondly, it is a universal teaching that is for the consciousness, and if received by the consciousness, it will stay in the consciousness and from there become active when it can be applied, or either it will seek the conditions needed for it to be applied in the next life. In short, it is a teaching to be assimilated by the consciousness and the consciousness is outside of tim...

Relaxing the Three Brains - (4942)

To relax fully we need to relax the five centres.  Relaxation is not total if we have left out a centre. Our relaxation practices and therefore concentration practices fail, because we do not relax each centre. To concentrate we need that all five centres be relaxed.  To align the centres we need to relax them first.  To go through centre by centre, relaxing each centre is something profound.  Relaxing the instinctive centre means to have the breathing relaxed, the impulses relaxed, the senses relaxed, the various twitches and itches and internal bodily processes in a calm down. As well as the various body related appetites such as hunger, rest, movement etc. Relaxing the centre means to be still and in an upright or logically aligned posture. Relaxing the sexual centre means to have the sexual centre passive and in a resting state. Relaxing the emotional centre means to have the centre vibrating pleasantly with that subtle joyful emotion being felt, which is the def...

Aligning the Three Brains - (4941)

Amazing! To align the three brains with whatever we are doing is an amazing feeling of wholeness! Then we can hit anything that we do in life with our full power. The reason why so much of what we do in life and in esotericism does not give fruit or is insipient or  is ineffective, is because we don't align our three brains. If we align our three brains with whatever we are doing we are conscious and whole! We have to allow ourselves the chance that the centres give their contribution to every event of life! Aligning our centres is an action of awakening. Unity is awakening. The centres are our five powers. The epicentre of the consciousness is the five centres.  We awaken in the five centres. Practice: Introduce whatever it is that we are doing into our five centres. Make each centre to do what we are doing. For example, if we are walking make all the centres to do their part of the walking. Make the intellectual centre to register that we are walking, make the emotional cent...

A note to let you know that there will not be any posts for 10 days.  Posts will resume from November 20th onwards. Thank you for reading. End (4940).

Notes on Personality Ways of Thinking - (4937)

Introduction It is really difficult to know how our personality thinks. We can only really know how the personality thinks when we come up against something that is not the personality. We can only really study the personality way of thinking in confrontation or contrast with the work way of thinking. Take this post as a kind of calibration session. Where we can calibrate our ideas against the work or what the teachings say. Notes A good way to present this, is to bring an issue and present the personality's way of thinking and the work's way of thinking about the same issue.  Issue:                 Vision of Life Personality:    Various different visions taking various forms all based on matter, society and personal                                  ideas. Work:               No particular ...

Really Understand the Ego or Anything when we Try to do the Opposite - (5335)

We only really come to understand any ego or the personality when we try to do the opposite of it. Before making that real effort we don't know anything. Yet we can talk and talk about it and even convince people that we really know a lot from walking the talk. End (5335).

Inner Deletion of the Wish/Desire List - (5294)

We all carry around a desire list. It is commonly called the 'wish list'. Many online stores allow shoppers to tag items to make up a wish list. Despite the online shopping wish lists, we carry around within us our own particular wish list.  This list can be quite long and we even can dedicate our lives, using up most of our days trying to fulfill this wish list. What is in our wish list? Material things, experiences, conversations, reading, learning, finding things out, checking things out, doing this and that right? In short what I want to say that such a list can be very distracting It can distract us from living the life our Inner Being wants to lead and live through us. Always a simple life is a happy life, and our particular wish lists make our lives complicated. To have a short wish list is bliss, simplicity and happiness plus freedom. Each item on that list ties us down to spending certain amounts of time searching, reading, inquiring, planning and saving... To delete i...

Gnostic Doctrine is a Real Power - (4938)

The Gnostic doctrine is truly a psychological and esoteric power.  Like anything else it can be used for good or for bad. It, in itself is something neutral. How can it be used for bad? Just how religion has been used for evil. In the sense of humiliating and condemning others.  In the sense of destroying the reputation, image, status and by later consequence possibly even the well-being of another person. In the sense of controlling others...  In the sense of convincing and influencing others... In the sense of justifying errors and dubious personal stand points... And many more ways new and old... The correct use of the gnostic doctrine is for eh liberation of one's own essence and the essence of others. There is no liberation of the essence without the undoing of what conditions it and causes it to slumber. End (4938).

Notes on Working on Inner Judgment to Help Ourselves in Mystical Death - (4936)

Image
Introduction This post presents some points to work with when working on the mental habit of judging. Working on this habit helps extraordinarily in our work of mystical death. In life, we must judge, we have to come to our conclusions and statements about things, however there is the way of 'not judging' as an aid to accelerate our mystical death and awakening and this is what this post is all about. Ultimately in life we can change judging for discernment...  Notes We feel strong when we judge yet later we find that we are actually weak... Always scared of those who judge as what we judge harshly we later fall into in the same way of things. Every judgment we make is a real opportunity of self-discovery. Judge others more often to know ourselves… Stop judging others if we don't turn that around and examine ourselves, because we will make our own life and the lives of others bitter. Create the firm habit of after judging others to do what we critise them for not doing. If ...

Secret Terror - (4934)

I believe we all know or have known or will know this strange yet powerful feeling that Master Samael called: 'secret terror'. The experience of 'secret terror' is very powerful! To feel it once or twice is impactful on its own and is something not to forget. To feel it constantly or regularly is distressing and life changing, but beyond that it serves a purpose... It is a 'means' that the Monad and the Divine Law use to impel the essence to seek the light and to work  seriously for the light. It is a relentless restlessness... We do not know what is going on in our higher spiritual dimensions... We do not know how much time we have left... We do not know what our Inner Being has committed before the Law... What we know is the feeling of 'secret terror', we know its strange and powerful impulse, and we know when it worsens...  When we are wasting time or are straying from the objective, it increases in intensity!  In some way blessed are those who experi...

Love through the Three Minds - (4935)

Image
Here is a post about how love works through the three minds. Basically through the inner mind we can love. Through the inner mind we can truly love. This is because through the inner mind we can make contact with the true living principle of love that comes from our consciousness. Remember that the inner mind is the only mind that has contact with the consciousness. Having contact with the consciousness through the inner mind we can know how to love. The sensorial mind on the other hand has no contact with the living principles of the consciousness and because of that, it only can focus on what comes through the senses.  All that we can gain from focusing on the senses is interpreting the impressions that are received through the senses. The sensorial mind can only thinks about or interprets the impressions that are received .  Receiving is the main focus when it comes to the sensorial mind. We may say this is not true, because we also give. Yes we do, however, so often, when ...

In a Drama Don't Identify with Anything you Feel - (5245)

For best results in all senses, to not identify with anything that we feel in a drama is the one thing you can truly trust to help you more than anything else. To be radically determined to let go of anything that you feel, yet being considerate to others, will not fail you, but benefit you many times over.  Don't believe me, try it! End (5245).

Has to Be Radical and Maximum Intensity - (4931)

At some points nothing else pays but radical efforts. Utmost adherence to the rigour of the task at certain times is the only thhing that works for us.  We know when we are in one of those stages when nothing else works. For example to awaken we must utilise every moment to master our attention. End (4931).

Don't Fight Because of Pride - (4930)

That's the worst thing that we can do. Instead: • Fight for the good.  • Fight for our Being.  • Fight for the dissolution of our defects.  • Take up the fight of our essence for inner justice to restore our Being as sovereign ruler over His cosmos - (our interior). With these fights we will conquer all of our other fights. End (4930).

Class Notes: Five Centres - (4933)

Put Gnosis into your intellectual centre. Later put Gnosis into our three brains. We need to conquer the centres. We do it by putting the work into the centres.  We need to install the six internal laws into our centres so that the centres process themselves according to those laws. Gnosis aims at integration with the oneness and this is done by conquering the centres. The ontological reality of our motor centre is to act ontologically. That is, to act with the Being, by virtue of the Being.  To act we need a point of reference. For the ontological reality the point of reference is the Being. Master Samael was an ontological man. He only acted by reference to his Being. The Being impregnated him completely. Impregnated his centres completely. We conquer the ontological reality by conquering the ontological reality of our centres. By thinking ontologically, feeling ontologically and acting ontologically. For our Being, it is very important to conquer the ontological reality or ...

Class Notes: The Path - (4932)

Image
Event This post is a collection of notes taken from an online class (m.m.m, Friday, 3/11/2023). Notes The path is inside of ourselves. The path is you. The path is you fighting with your sleeping consciousness and awakening it. Even if you are told that you can not do the path there is so much inside of ourselves to do. Doing all of those things we will do the path... The path is in some ways a concept - what is real is the states of consciousness that need to be refined and elevated more and more towards the Inner Being. The path is you, the path is your Being, the path is you working for and towards your Monad.   Bring your Being to your daily life. "Make this moment spirit!".  The path is our life. The path is our life lived in the Being. Our life lived wisely.  The path has highs and lows, humiliations and exaltations... We relate to ourselves correctly by being the soul that we are.  The path organises your work and progress towards the light of your Inner ...

Chronotype - (5259)

If there is sound there is rhythm. Rhythm organises sound. The cosmos is full of sound and therefore rhythm. There are rhythms in our body and in our psycho-physiological system. Many forces pass through our constitution during a 24 hour period. Each force has a sound and therefore a rhythm. The rhythm in our constitution will be different for each individual.  We are after all a particular medium through which the forces of the cosmos play their beat. The modern Chronotype (Bear, Wolf, Dolphin etc.) it seems is an attempt to shed light on this phenomena. The modern Chronotype if you google it, may give rise to some insight as to why we have a tendency to perform better at some tasks at certain times of the day and not at other times. End (5259).

Learning to Let Go of Small Details - (4902)

Amazingly it is the small details that many a dispute has been about. To enter the realm of details often means a spiral downwards into difficulty. To discuss over ethical principles is more useful and helpful to the consciousness of all parties involved.  The small details dip greatly into the world of relativity and subjectivity. Even though the small details maybe objective the discussion around them is never-ending. The small details consume much time. The small details are complicated.  The small details require much attention which turns into identification. The above is because the "I's" in our psychology feed off the small details.  The psychological "I's" in us depend on the small details. They process themselves based on the small details. All of the above indicates to us that there is much of our psychology trapped or invested in the small details of life. To awaken does not mean to depend on the small details.  To awaken does not mean to need the...

Slow Down Time with Self-Remembering - (4929)

When we are identified time flies.  Stopping, focusing inwardly we find our essence. Then as essence remembering ourselves in our Being we slow down time. We win time back. We organise our time.  To live a productive day in all the senses we have to start the day this way and repeat this short practice several times during the day. Repeat as many times as necessary is key! End (4929).

There is the Occult Karma we Need to Pay - (4927)

We can have a pretty comfortable life and in fact it seems as though many Gnostic people do. Financially they are good, their health is good and their work-life circumstances are favourable. Inside of them it may be a different story, having the ego alive, however the point I want to get at here is that eventhough it may seem that we do not have too much karma there is still a whole unknown area of karma that we don't remotely suspect we have. That occult karma has still has to be paid. Just doing life and Gnosis does not pay it, we need more a more active payment method. Otherwise called the third factor and the three factors in general. Just some of the hidden sides of karma that we have are Katancy and the many intimate karmic debts that we have between essence and Being... End (4927).

Here to Die not to be Right, Rewarded, Recognized, Praised, Understood and Justified - (5292)

We are really here to die in ourselves.  That is what is needed of us before our Inner Being. To be right about everything is not really the goal, it is to get our essence free. It is too consuming to be right about most things, let alone everything. In fact to be right about most things could be a sign of strong self-hypnosis.  The hypnosis that being right is the most important thing. When to be right does not equal to be correct and fair. I write this for myself, as we all carry this inside but in different ways. Some present to others and some present it only to themselves.  Either way both produce clashes aplenty in life with others. End (5292).

It's You and Your Being that Walk - (4925)

Image
On the path you and your Being walk. It is a walk between you and your Being.  At times it is very lonely. Like walking in a desert.  As symbolic as this sounds, it translates to psychological loneliness. Where almost no one understands your thought, feeling and actions and thinks that you are wrong. Though people may distance themselves, our Being does not. We think at times the Being distances Itself, but more often than not, it is us that distances ourselves.  In reality the Being is more lonely than us as as our Being is the one that leads the responsibility of taking up the path. The leader is often the more lonely one... When you know that it is really you and your Being that walk, as a duo, our main responsibility is to our Real Being who is the first one to take up the path. Our thinking, feeling and actions are accountable to Him. End (4925).
