Going to the Retreat No New Posts for a While - (590)

Friday 20th of November

AS of Friday the 20th of November I will be busy taking part in a retreat. So I won’t be able to post anything new for a week or more.

Though I will take along my special Livescribe pen that converts handwritten notes into text on my computer, so when I’m back after the retreat I will have heaps of material to post.

Thanks

Thanks again for reading and read more from me then.

Epigenesis Introduction - (589)

Introduction

Epigenesis is the faulty of creating circumstances which have not been experienced or created before. Usually our actions are conditioned by the past.

Epigenesis is to generate a series of new causes which will by the Law of Cause and Effect create new effects.

How

The way to do this is by using our consciousness which is free from relativity and duality to generate the new causes.

Use All the Bodies

We tend to just think that our life is physical, but it is not really. It is vital, astral (emotional), mental and causal. We do not see this and so we don't bring those aspects down into the physical, or more importantly we don't use those other aspects for real effects and results.

We have to bring all our bodies into an activity! We need the causal body to be brought down when we do for example a practice of mystical death. If we use the causal body to die mystically we will cause that ego to be different than what it was beforehand, or before the treatment.

Conclusion

This knowledge about the faculty of epigenesist is really a life saver. Because it means that by us using our consciousness we can create circumstances different to the painful ones that we don’t want to experience.

Envy - (588)

Introduction

We have envy to relate to our progress in all of our endeavours. Envy has a few different functions within our psychology and this is one of them. It is concerned with our progress.

Envy Adapts

Envy adapts to what we value the most. At one stage of our life we may envy those who bring home such and such a salary or have this and that possession, and later on when we enter the spiritual studies we may envy those who have obtained this and that or at this point on the path etc.

Anyway if in the past we have created the ego of envy it will constantly look for things to be envious about. It won’t stop, it will mechanically compare and project the thoughts and feeling so envy. Envy usually acts with ill-will towards others and harbours a negative attitude towards those we envy.

A Solution

We tend to feel envy when we are not doing very well, when we are not progressing or seemingly not progressing. It is most of the time our fault why we are not progressing. Usually envy sees it as the fault of others as to why we are not progressing.

If we take responsibility for why we are not progressing we can change envy around and make it diminish.

Usually also we feel lots of envy when it seems as though others are progressing with some of the help of our efforts and we are not getting anywhere but spending money and using our time to help them. But really their progress is due to their efforts and their own Being. We have little to do with it.

Conclusion

I think the solution is to then get to work, start working seriously on ourselves and take responsibility for our progress or lack of progress and see that the progress of others does not have much really to do with us. Our progress is our job and business and that we have to look at and take care of. When we start taking care of it in a honest and decent way putting in a sincere effort we feel much less envy.

Feelings of Not Belonging - (587)

Introduction

Sometimes we can feel as if we do not belong in a group or in a relationship etc. etc.

These feelings have an origin of course. These feelings could come from the impressions of rejection or disinterest from others or from some mental processes induced or flavoured by certain “I’s” that we have within us when we see that we are not so integrated.

Why

A big reason why we may feel that we don’t belong is personality. Especially if our personality is very different to others. Such as when personalities originating from different countries come together.

Solution

If we see ourselves not as a person or a personality but as an essence everything changes. We see ourselves as the universal material of life and others are just the same – an essence and then seeing things this things get better for us, those feelings of not belonging can slowly dissipate and we then relate to others very differently. We relate essence to essence which is devoid of that upset background of feeling alone, disappointed and slightly rejected.

Conclusion

The best way to relate is essence to essence. This type of relations transcends culture, race, age and personality.

What to expect from Gnosis - (586)

Introduction

I wanted to write this post just to put out there what I have come to understand and experience while studying Gnosis.

Expectations

We come to Gnosis with a few expectations, some that we may express openly and therefore know about and then there are some that we don’t know that we have. It is only later when certain things happen that come to discover these hidden expectations.

The Lists

I was thinking about what could be the best way to communicate my ideas in this post. The first thing that came to mind was a list.

List 1

So the following list, is a collection of expectations that we can have when we start Gnosis and even have while we are studying Gnosis. Though the trick is that these expectations are ones that unfortunately can not be or are not fulfilled by Gnosis or a Gnostic school fully or even partially. We can though fulfil them but in a different way, which entails bringing Gnosis inside of us and applying the Gnostic teachings on our interior.

Have the Gnostic group or instructor solve our problems.

Oops I think I have to stop here! I just got a bolt of a thought that writing such a list may not reflect positively on Gnosis. Honestly my intentions are not to damage Gnosis or any body studying or teaching Gnosis.

List 2

I also thought that a second list would be helpful. In this second list I thought to write down the things that we have to do in Gnosis for ourselves, and these things are things which another person, our Gnostic Instructor or Gnostic school or group can not do for us.

Love our Being. They can teach us the benefits and show us the benefits fo doing it, but wea re the only ones that can do that.

Look after our spiritual welfare. They can help with advice, guidance and meditations. But it is ultimately up to us.

Transmute our sexual energy. They can help with teachings etc. ut we have to do the action of it when it really needs to be done.

Dissolve our egos. They certainly can help with advice, teaching and practices.

Awaken our consciousness. They can certainly help with teachings and practices, but we have to put in the daily effort.

Try to solve our confusion about the doctrine and the teachings. We can get help from our instructor and fellow students, though we have to put in the effort to work it out.

Conclusion

Well I think you know everything that I have posted. However what I really wanted to convey in this post is that sometimes within us are expectations that we don’t know straight away that we have. Usually when there is some sort of a problem or things go wrong these expectations come out and we experience a conflict within us. We can actually feel quite hurt. Mainly because we expect so much more from a spiritual school and people who are working spiritually. I just want to urge people to find their expectations and neutralise them or contrast them against reality so to be able to if they see it correct to neutralise or drop these expectations all just so as not to suffer later on.

Magic Key to All Endeavours Especially Gnostic Endeavours - (585)

The Key

Love!

Things Seem Dry – Love is the Moisturiser

Things can seem so dry at times, especially the three factors. When things seem and feel dry we tend to feel that just we need a break. Well sometimes a period of lesser activity is needed, which turns out to be good when after the break you realise that you are renewed and fresh and your enthusiasm seems to have increased. But if after the break we feel worse and more distant then it wasn’t such a good idea to have taken a break.

Sometimes we can’t take a break so that is when we need to evoke love! Love makes everything smoother and easier and is the magic ingredient to give any endeavour a boost and true sustaining power.

Love the Magic Ingredient

If we do the three factors with love, the work in three factors becomes completely different. It actually does not make sense to do the three factors devoid of love when we really look at it.

The first factor sometimes is hard and dry and we can lose sight of the point of it all. However, if we remember love, love for our essence and for our Being and the love of truth we then tend to work in the first factor with enthusiasm and joy.

Learning to love the work or at least like it is a very fundamental part of our work and really can’t be ignored. One can have worked on himself for a long time, though there will be times when the love runs dry and it has to be renewed otherwise the person could run the risk of just giving up and leave Gnosis or stay in Gnosis but doing very little except struggle.

Conclusion – Sprinkle a Little of the Magic Ingredient - Love

So then in conclusion when things get dry try and add some of that special magical ingredient called love. Find love for elements in the three factors. In the third factor find love for those that you teach and for the doctrine itself. For the second factor find love for the Being and the Divine Mother and for the sexual energy itself. For the first factor find love for truth, inquiry, investigation, change, illumination, awareness and consciousness.

Last Post on Pain - (584)

Introduction

To conclude now the posts on pain is the last post.

What Does pain Tell us

Pain is telling us that we have a wrong or unbalanced structure within. We have created something within us that is not quite stable or is not quite in the right order of things and we to reach balance or the state of inner harmony we should have a look at ait and fix it up. Of course it is entirely optional we don’t have to do anything about it if we don’t want to.

We somewhere along the line have made a mistake where we have placed some value on something that we should not have placed value on or that much value on. For example if we place our happiness on a person we are always going to be in pain. We have to place our happiness within ourselves. We have to allow ourselves to be happy when we want all the time. Not when others are happy and happy with us. This mistake or wrong action in our psychology leads to pain because others can not always be happy with us – impossible! So then pain comes to us to tell us “hey you have made a mistake within you in placing your happiness on others! To feel happy more of the time you should place your happiness within you!”.

Pain Hides a Lesson or a Truth

Pain needs to be transmuted from pain into wisdom and consciousness and balance. If we accept pain and look deeply into it, searching for what is wrong we can certainly come to transform or transmute pain from pain, discomfort, sadness etc. into light.

Liberate not Contemplate

When we accept pain and look into it we are actually liberating pain! We though before doing this wallow in pain and it only traps more and more our consciousness. Try not to contemplate your pain or carry around with you your pain. Go somewhere beautiful and then look inside you so to liberate it. When you accept it and search inside and balance it you are liberating your pain.

Role of Karma and Pain

The role of karma is to heal that pain in us. Because that pain is there due to a lack of balance. Karma always seeks to balance everything out. We have that pain because something has been built up wrongly in us, we have built a structure within based on the lack in someway of balance and that pain is telling us “hey something is not quite right within you! You need to fix it so that you can be free of pain and healed!”.

If you look deeply into that pain you will see that there is a lack of balance in direction or another. Balance is harmony and the absence of pain.

Just follow your karma and it will act to heal you!

Conclusion and Thanks

I would like to say thank you for reading and urge you to start to be a little more open to the pain that we have within only for the purpose of freeing our consciousness and giving ourselves more possibility of being able to heal our own pain that we have within us.

Also remember please don’t make any decision in pain! Just wait a while and then decide. Wait for the pain to subside.

Thank you all for your feedback and interest, it is greatly appreciated!

What is the Worst Pain? - (583)

Introduction

There are physical pains that are severe and there are some that are not as severe. There are all sorts of severe physical pains that have to do with different parts of the body. It is said that child birth is very severe, a heart attack is also very severe, cluster headaches are severe, kidney stones and gallstones are also very severe.

As with the physical there are also psychological pains that are quite painful as well. For example, being betrayed is quite painful, being lied too and deceived or tricked is also quite painful, being rejected is also quite painful, being ridiculed and criticised in public is quite painful and some kinds of failure can also be quite painful.

Why are these Things so Painful

The reason perhaps why these things are so much painful compared to other things is all due to the value that we place on these things and also the certain values that are involved. I all these things that are so painful it is usually the case that very high and beautiful even intimate values of our essence and Being are involved and what happens in these situation is that these values are broken or wronged quite intensely.

What Dante Tells Us

If we study Dante’s Inferno we can learn a lot. We can see that Dante classifies all the human errors in levels of severity. The worst errors are those of deceit and then treason. In treason the values of love and rust are broken or gone against - the same with deceit. So it seems whenever trust is involved and it gets broken the error is the gravest and also the pain is the more severe.

Conclusion

The higher the values that are involved and the more they are broken or contravened the more painful is the experience. Also when high values are involved we also place great value from our own selves on them, we place for example our attention, our love, our energy, our respect, our money our many other things. Most pain comes from some sort of relationship with others or ourselves.

One More Post on Pain Left - (582)

Introduction

This is just a post to say that the next post will conclude the series of posts on pain.

Next Post

The next post will be on the worst or more severe kinds of pain that are felt in human beings and why.

Thanks

Thanks as always for reading and I just hope that what I have written has been useful in some way to you.

Particles of Pain of the Father in the Essence - (581)

Introduction

Master Samael says that in the essence there are particles of pain that belong to our Father who is in secret. He says that those particles of pain can help us in the realisation of our inner Being or Father who is in secret.

All of Us Have Them

All of us have these particles of pain dwelling in our essence. They sometimes can be felt when we are working with repentance and contrast.

They propel us to work more intensely. They allow us to feel the harm that we have caused others, ourselves and our Being.

Those particles of pain allow us to feel the need to change. Those particles make us suffer much when we can not change when we know that we have to change.

Those particles release a very special kind of pain, one of the essence and the Father, which is different to the pain of the ego. This pain has a very deep feeling to it, a mystical feeling, an eternal feeling, an intimate feeling pertaining to one’s own responsibility and inner Spiritual parts.

Conclusion

When Master Samael said that he was moved to the very fibres of his soul when he failed in those tests of chastity in the very deepest levels of his mind, that was the particles of pain of his Father moving in him or in his soul rather. Interesting the Law, the good side of the Law ended up helping him by removing that ego from Him.

Karma Teaches us with Pain if we don’t see the Light - (580)

Introduction

If we are doing things that are not quite right and that inconvenience others and cause others some trouble. We have two options before us. One is for our consciousness to wake us up to what we are doing and then change our conduct or the other option is for the Law to step in and help us. Though when the Law steps in they may help by sending a spark of light to our mind and consciousness or they may send us pain. If we are very asleep they have to send us pain, in the hope that pain will wake us up.

Law Helps

The Law always helps us to have our conduct on track. Whatever pain we receive we send to ourselves. It is not that the Law sends it, it is us that brings it down upon ourselves. They always try to heal us by bringing us into balance.

You know even our own essence may cry out for the Law to help us, because it knows that it can not help itself and so the parts of our Being, our Kaom and other parts work with the Law of Cosmic Karma to help us in any way that will work. Sometimes only pain will work.

Conclusion

Others are a mirror or an indicator of our good or bad actions. If others say we are doing good and our discernment agrees with that and we do not receive pain then things are more or less ok. If it is the opposite then we if we want to not receive more pain, try hard to see what we are doing wrong. Even if we have a negative attitude that brings to us pain and some inconveniences as well.

End (580).

Pain we Cause Others - (579)

Introduction

No doubt we cause others much pain while we are asleep and while we have the “I’s” or egos very strong and alive in us.

Magical Thing

The really magical thing is, is that because we are all one, what we do to others we do to ourselves. Causing pain to you is the same as causing pain to myself. This is such an immutable law. If we heal another it is the same as healing ourselves now or later.

Pain Caused to Others Comes to Us

It is impeccable and implacable that if we cause others pain, the same pain will come back to us. Sometimes so very quickly and sometimes not. The more intentionally we do it the worse it is for us. If we did something unknowing and unaware we still receive pain back, and that is good because we need that pain to become more conscious of what we have done and what we do.

Even if we do something to another who does not have ego or is not hurt by what we do or say we still receive pain. But a little less than if that person whom we insulted did feel a lot of pain. We always we receive what we give out and if we have the receptors of pain inside of us we feel pain, but if we don’t we don’t feel as much.

Sometimes if we know that a person will get hurt and we say to ourselves, it is not my responsibility, I’m not doing anything wrong we still have a little bit of responsibility and we still do receive some pain in return but not too much.

Pain is All Equal

Sometimes in our arrogance we are so careful not to hurt others in a certain spiritual group but at home we are terrible, because we think that the people at home don’t matter, we still receive pain. Sometimes not from them at home but through the people we are so careful to not hurt.

This shows us that we are all one and everyone’s pain inflicted on them by us becomes our pain.

Conclusion

Causing others pain is bad business, it always comes back, sometimes later, much later or sometimes so very quickly, the same day or the next day. We really need what the Christ taught us “Love one another as you wish to be loved”. That is the key to apply all the time and not allow ourselves to trick ourselves thinking that in certain situations it does not apply.

Though on the other hand we have to be courageous in facing our own pain when it arises in us. That for me is the real courage, to face our own pain.

My goodness arrogance is so terrible! How ignorant it is. We feel so strong and proud to hit another, to blame, to defame etc. But later that terrible arrogance turns to pain and tears. Forget it, don’t cause others pain and avoid situations where you have to make decisions that are going to hurt others. Well except for when hurting one will benefit many more.

Pain All in One Shot or by Instalments - (578)

Introduction

Pain has to come out someway and somehow. Sometimes it can come out in doses over time or all in one big shot. And sometimes it is up to us how we take to it. We can just deal with it over short stints or we can take it to the full as far as we can go towards the end of it.

When it Pain Comes Out

Sometimes we can not do anything, pain may just come out very intensely and we have to do our best. Sometimes it can come out and disappear very quickly and it may disappear so deep within us that we can’t find it and we so easily forget about it, and even if we want to do more about it, it is very difficult because it is gone making it hard to penetrate into. Sometimes though we can do something about it and pull on it until more of it comes out. This is the situation when we have some control.

This though is entirely up to us. Sometimes it is better that way we get healed and over it quicker with it not to repeat later in time.

Conclusion

There are times with pain when we have a choice and we can work it to its end or very close to it. Sometimes not. It may be wiser though to work on it until its end, to heal up and not have it come back again. We have to be quick and efficient though because pain goes and the subconscious accelerates it going as well. Our system resists us working on it because fear in us does not like pain.

End (578).

Pain as Necessary for Growth - (577)

Introduction

There is that saying that goes: “no pain no gain”. This saying normally refers to some sort of physical training of the body. In many respects within the realm of physical training of the body it is true. Also it seems to be quite true in nearly everything else as well. Even in the area of spiritual growth. Because we know that if we do not make an effort we don’t really get anywhere.

Pain to Come Out

In our pain is hidden much potential for growth. Really the work on ourselves is all about really healing that pain that we have in one way or another.

The pain has to come out in us for us to be able to see it and work to heal it. So with out that pain coming out we can not heal and therefore if we do not change or fix ourselves we remain as we are. That is our growth remains stagnant or stunted.

The More Pain – the More Growth

So really even though it sounds not very pleasant at all, the more pain that comes out in us the more we have to work on so to fix and then grow.

We though have to be very careful here. We can’t fall into that of inflicting pain on ourselves meaninglessly, but rather to work on the pain that comes out in us when it does because of the natural flow of life’s events, not because we are actively looking for it to come out. When we actively look for it to come out it is not so natural and only part of it comes out and we end making a mess where we really didn’t need to.Of course when we make a mess we involve others that don’t need to be involved and that creates karma for us that results in pain later on down the track.

Conclusion

I think the conclusion to this post is to take with us that pain will come out in us today or tomorrow and unfortunately we need it so to grow. Pain is to be taken advantage of to fix what is wrong in us and then step up a step in the level of being and in liberation.

Attitude Towards Pain - (576)

Introduction

Changing our attitude towards pain won’t make pain go away, it certainly won’t affect the physical pain. A head ache or an aching leg will still be there, and even insult or offence will still be there. Though what will change is the way we deal with it and what we do with the pain and how we conduct ourselves with the pain when coming into contact with others.

What Changing our Attitude Does

What changing our attitude will do is make it easier for our consciousness to work on our behalf to accept the pain and to look behind it to discover what is wrong and then fix what is wrong. The right attitude, that is being open to the lesson and seeing pain as a teacher or prepares the ground for our consciousness to work when we next feel pain.

The right attitude allows us to deal with pain properly, it sets us up to be able to liberate it and to be able to not allow our consciousness get so bottled up or caught in it.

Conclusion

The right attitude towards pain is the first and necessary step to be able to liberate it! The more conscious our attitude the more conscious we set ourselves up to be.

The right attitude in life, in the work, in the path and in everything for that matter goes a very long way.

Remember when we next feel pain, ask we must ask ourselves “What is this pain trying to teach me?”, “What needs healing or fixing in me?” and we can then tell ourselves, “If I fix what is causing the pain, I can be free from it. To be free is better than to hold onto it and protect it, defend it and nurture it or even contemplate it!”.

End (576).

Pain as a Teacher - (575)

Introduction

I think a very big step to do with pain is to see pain as a teacher!

Truly that is what it is, it does not seem like that but when we look behind it we discover this truth that pain is a teacher.

When we don’t look behind it and we just want it to go away pain is not a teacher it is a menace.

Change our Attitude Towards Pain

The tough fact is that pain is going to always be there is one way or the next especially when we have the ego and even when we don’t have the ego. Of course when we don’t have the ego pain will not be there as we commonly know it from the ego but there is always some kind of pain coming from the laws and restrictions in creation.

Taught by Pain

A lot of us are taught by pain. Pain has been the teacher of many people in life and on the path. It has produced some very strong and virtuous people. However, it has also destroyed many people. The only thing that is best when it comes to pain is go straight to learn the lesson that it is trying to teach us. Learn the lesson and change in us what is causing the pain and then heal.

This is how we learn and transmute pain. It seems to be a law that we need sometimes pain for spiritual growth. Sometimes if it were not for the pain of others we would not have had this knowledge or we would not have had the marvellous spiritual teachers that we have today. Perhaps many of the valuable lessons that they impart to us have been taught to them by pain.

Somethings can Only be Taught by Pain

Sometimes there are only some lessons that we have to learn being taught by pain. Unfortunately it is like this. Sometimes it is because others can not teach it, or it is because we are not good at listening or we lack the consciousness to learn without pain. Nonetheless there are things that we must learn and fix only through pain.

The more I think about it, pain can not be avoided ever in life, it will always be there, it will always come around to visit. I think and I am telling myself that I and we have to accept this. If pain were to come all the time, then we would probably collapse, but from time to time it comes.

Pain Teaches us what to Heal

Pain is an arrow that points directly to what is wrong in us. It can be an attitude, a belief, a concept, an expectation, an ego, a desire and or an attitude. The more we look at what pain is pointing at the closer we are to learning and being able to find out what is wrong and therefore able to fix it.

Conclusion

If we can see pain as a teacher and that a lesson awaits us where bye if we learn it well we won’t feel this pain again, I think our approach to pain will change, and that is a big plus for our consciousness. The key it seems to everything in Gnosis and in our life and the path is transmuting or transmutation. What we need to do with pain is to transmute it into wisdom, lessons learnt and into liberation.

End (575).

How Pain Traps Us - (574)

Introduction

Pain in us, that is psychological pain is a very big trap for our consciousness. We really get very stuck in pain. We tend to hold onto to pain for ages and wallow in it, think about it, carry it, protect it, defend and avoid it.

Pain Rules our Lives

Pain especially avoiding it, comes to rule our physical lives. In the sense, that we do so many things and don’t do so many things all to avoid feeling pain or more pain. Pain is like one of the bosses of our physical lives.

For pain to move us around so much, we have to be thinking a lot about it and about avoiding it - especially how to avoid it. So pain is a big space occupier in our mind and of course much of our consciousness gets focussed on it and bottled up in it.

Because we don’t understand pain we get stuck in it and get more stuck in it.

Liberate it!

Really the key is to always try to do something with our understanding and consciousness to liberate our pain - which is really to free our consciousness of the entrapment in pain. Imagine pain to be a bottle and our consciousness is stuck in that bottle. We have to take our consciousness out of that bottle, or start by taking small bits of our consciousness out of that bottle.

If we can try to let go of our pain and make that very first huge effort to look into our pain, to see what lesson it is trying to teach us and what it is telling us that we need to heal. Because that is what pain does, it comes to tell us what in us needs healing.

Then try to understand what in our way of thinking, or concepts or beliefs is causing is clashing with reality ad causing us this pain. Try to see in what way we are forgetting our Being and not relating well to reality that is causing the pain.

Conclusion

I think that the very first step is to look into our very own lives to see how pain moves us and controls us and then go into our psychology to see how pain takes up so much of our mental time and space. Then after seeing this I think that we will have a very good appreciation of how pain traps our consciousness and that there is a definite need in us to work to liberate pain so that our consciousness can be freer and more awake.

The Pain of Others - (573)

Introduction

This is a topic all on its own. I topic I think is worth investigating.

We normally are quite aware of our own pain and normally regard it as quite important. However, things are different when it comes to the pain of others.

We normally are not very aware of the pain of others and we have the tendency to shrug off the apin that others feel.

In fact we can often disregard the pain of others and we can quite easily fall into a sort of pride where we believe “others shouldn’t suffer or their suffering is silly and over nothing” and only our suffering is valid, worthy and makes us more distinguished, experienced, learned and hard done by in life, where we should receive more respect and consideration from others.

Relativity

From what has just been written it sounds a lot like we when it comes to pain, we see pain in relativity. That is our pain is important and yours or their pain is not important. In some way this attitude of relativity is behind many acts of cruelty, violence, discrimination and even war.

We see the pain of others as silly, invalid and unimportant because we see our pain as the opposite, that is important, valid, worthy, worthwhile and untouchable.

Actually thinking and feeling like this keeps us stuck in pain and and seeing it in an exaggerated way.

Balanced

We would come to a different perception of pain and freer attitude to pain if we were to balance our perception. That is if we were to use the other side of relativity, seeing our pain as not as important as others, especially where others go though and have gone through much worse.

When we see our pain in a balanced way the exaggeration stops and we stop focussing so much attention on it and our identification or entrapment in it is lightened somewhat.

Conclusion

I think in conclusion we should treat the pain of others as we would treat our own pain. Just as Jesus the Christ said: “treat others as you would have them treat you”.

If we can be sensitive to the pain of others and to see their pain as it is, not undervaluing or overvaluing it, we can help them and at the same time free ourselves from our own the relativity.

The relativity to do with pain is very grave actually and is behind so much of our errors when it comes to others. Pride and arrogance is behind such errors, pride and arrogance are blindness of relativity.

End (573).

Two General Types of Pain - (572)

Introduction

There are two types of pain when it comes to psychological or inner pain. One is the pain that is triggered from something outside of us and the other is the pain that is triggered from inside of us.

Triggered from Outside

The pain that is triggered from outside is the very common or typical type of pain that we feel. For example, we fail at something, someone says something about us, we have an argument, we are insulted, we are treated harshly, we are abused etc. etc.

So in effect something happens to us and because of that we feel pain. Essentially he one or more ego in us suffers because f what has happened to us or someone close to us.

Triggered from Inside

This is the pain that can be more intense because it pertains to the way we relate to our inner Divinity. This pain comes from the realisation that we are not doing the best by our interior Divinity. When realise that are attitudes, actions, ill-will etc. are making our inner Being or parts of our Inner Being to suffer.

Conclusion

We all feel at some point these two types of pain. The more we work on ourselves the more we will feel the second type of pain, where that pain is triggered from inside of us.

In all the cases the remedy to the pain we feel even though it may not seem to be, is to do a work on ourselves.

Nature of Pain - (571)

Introduction

This is a very deep subject and I am only going to really only touch on one point, which is that pain is a teacher.

Pain Appears, Stays and Goes

Pain appears, stays and then goes. Most in us pain is usually on the way out – thank goodness right? It leaves us more than stays. But not all the time it can stay for a long time, sometimes very loudly for a short time and then very subtly after that for a much longer time.

Why Pain Appears

Pain appears because essentially something is not quite right in us. Pain comes to show us something, it comes to show us that something needs to be healed or addressed or taken care of inside of ourselves. Basically something needs to change or be dissolved, and as soon as it is, that particular pain won’t come back.

Change our Attitude

Upon understanding this point, we can change our attitude towards pain. We can see pain as something that wants our healing or wants us to change for the better, as something that wants our psychological heath back. So being intelligent we should follow it with our conscious attention to see where it points to inside of us. Then we can work to undo the painful knot and dissolve the concept, belief, way of thinking or egoic facet that is causing that pain.

Conclusion

In pain coming it is showing us something that needs to be healed. So inside pain is the key to our healing. So pain is delivering to us the raw healing or healing in potential. We need to work that pain to get healed, and then what is marvellous that healing turns out to also be the wisdom to help others as well.

Series of Posts on Pain - (570)

Introduction

What I am going to do in the next series of posts is to present a post covering a point or two to do with the topic of pain.

Not Physical Pain but Psychological Pain

I’ll take this opportunity to say that I won’t be covering physical pain but rather psychological pain.
I think with regards to physical pain that it should be treated as quickly as possible. Psychological pain should be treated as quickly as possible too, however for the treatment of psychological pain we don’t need a doctor or a therapist, we can do all of it or a very large part of it ourselves.

Conclusion

Pain is a very important subject actually. It is something very important because it is something that we all run into all the time. Normally we all fall down when it comes to dealing with pain or we either make great efforts to avoid it, and it that way pain can become the secret or silent boss of our life.

Meet Desire with Consciousness and Transmutation Not with the Mind - (569)

Introduction

Normally we meet desire with the mind, and this from experience this has not worked out so good.
The overall result is that the mind tends to keep us stuck or fixated on the desire.

The mind will either accept the desire and then make plans or start thinking about how to realise the desire or the mind will reject the desire and keep thinking about it anyway but in a different way. It happens that the ore we think about the more we get stuck and we run the risk of either fulfilling the desire or feeling frustrated or negative, down and blue.

Mind does not Liberate

Overall the mind does not liberate us, it can prepare the way for us to get some liberation from the desire but ultimately it is our own consciousness that does it. A small realisation of our consciousness is enough to do it.

Meet with Consciousness

If we meet the desire being awareness or being our consciousness we can change the outcome. When we go to be our awareness we can see from a little distance inside us the desire and with that distance we can observe and we can comprehend a little. The main thing to see is to see what the desire is of or for or about. Once we see we need to transmute it.

Transmute it

By transmute it, I am not referring to something only sexual but something that seeks or goes inside rather than outside to fulfil the desire. There are many desires and they can be either fulfilled outside of us using other human beings or inside of ourselves relating to ourselves, our consciousness and our inner Being.

To transmute the desire is to go inside and make efforts to get from your own self, consciousness and Being what it is that you desire. Give it to yourself.

Conclusion

This is not a bad system tor way to meet desire if we are wanting to experiment with the ability to have a different outcome rather than the same old one when all these desires that we have in our interior surge to the forefront.

Awakening First - (568)

Introduction

It seems that what is first has to be awakening. Once awakened to some degree there must come death.

When Awakened

When one is awakened the ego can be there but it is not a problem. Because the awakened one will keep his or her essence or consciousness always at the centre, and the egos will be exiled to the outer edges of the psyche where they can not interfere with the central processes of the person.

As soon as someone acquires some awakening, one attains an ability to separate from the ego, because they clearly know what they are. That is, that they are not the ego and so they can recognise the ego and separate from it. This makes working on the ego so much easier and actually more effective.

Die Being Awake is Better

It is much better to die being awakened. Because then one knows what one has to do, why and how.

Conclusion

There are definitions and degrees and degrees, and there are also different types of awakening. The most important awakening is the psychological one where one really knows that one is the essence and one becomes in control of one’s psyche and one knows exactly everything that is going on in one’s own psyche. This is awakening that we have to first conquer.
