Cultivation of Respect Notes - (4467)

The highest and surest way of cultivating respect is by giving others respect.

This one single action is respect for oneself and others at the same time.

By giving respect to others we strength our capacity to respect. We also deepen our respect and we also learn to extend the scope of our respect.

The more we know ourselves - that is the more we cultivate the real self-knowledge which is the knowledge of ourselves as a soul and spirit, the more we respect others.

Putting ourselves in the shoes of others is always a good measuring stick to know about what respect would be.

Treating others the way we would like to be treated is another helpful guide.

Skepticism Becomes So Silly - (4490)

Skepticism does not believe in a higher intelligent power yet it will believe in powders, supplements, juices and organics as having the power to change our destiny. Lengthen our life, make our health shine and elevate our energy...

All of these things are good and really do help, but they do not have the power of the Inner Being in us. Its materialism and skepticism working together that produce the delusional belief that these things have the the power of God or the Divine Law.

I'll go to negotiate with the Divine Law armed with a big bottle of freshly cold pressed juice from organically grown produce with little or no merit from my actions in my scale and just let's see how I go...

What Values are Others Destroying in Us? - (4472)

We have to be the guardians of our inner temple if we really want to form something within ourselves.

One of the functions of our essence is to be a guardian of our inner temple.

This means to protect the values that we already have. This is done by not allowing impressions and activities that others try to involve us in to degrade the values.

The impressions if left unchecked do their work in time and one day by surprise we are almost the same as the impressions.

Just deciding to partake in activities that are against our values lowers the values in us...

Constant exposure to the egos of others also rubs off on us - producing an influence of imitation in the same way of thinking, feeling and acting...

The essence is a servant our Inner temple. It serves as guardian and also order maker and cleaner of our psychological house and therefore Inner Temple.

D-18 the Faster Rubbish Truck - (4487)

From what I have heard and experienced myself, working to dissolve the "I's" we have, means frequently visiting the abyss, either our own and or the abyss of nature.

There are many reasons for this. With one being that that is where we find the deeper aspects of the egos that we are working on and it is there through those experiences in the abyss that we learn more about the hidden side of those egos.

The abyss inside and outside ourselves is a lot about waste management. A lot about recycling, a lot about discarding what is not useful...

In the abyss a really good tool to do our work with is a rubbish truck. The fastest rubbish truck is a "D-18". D is the fourth letter of the alphabet and 4 plus 1 plus 8 equals 13 which is death. So with psychological death we make the work of the rubbish truck faster. Also with a fast rubbish truck we can get away from the danger...

The things we need to die in the most are 18 - the occult enemies.

D is an interesting letter - all that is about decreasing, diminishing etc. begins with the letter 'd'. Such as: death, destroy, deconstruct, devalue, decay, decimate, decompose, disdain, disorder, disharmony, degeneration etc.

The letter 'm' is another interesting letter. M is for magic, mystery, master, mother, mission, matrimony, marriage, magi, magnetism, etc.

Anger Focusses Energy - (4489)

Why anger makes us strong is because it has the ability to focus our energy.

It can bring all our energies together to a point and then we have the will and decisiveness to make a decision. Often the wrong decision and a big one at that - but none the less it is still a decision.

Often our subconscious and other egos use anger for this very reason.

So going back to the work on anger, we can more easily leave it behind by learning how to ficus voluntarily our own energies.

End (4489).

Anger in Some Cases is Due to Impression Overload - (4475)

When we experience an overload of impressions that we don't transform vomitting is the result. Often this vomiting takes the form of anger.

When we receive impressions indicating blocks and obstacles one after the other, externally expressed anger at others is the result.

When we receive an overload of criticism, anger towards ourselves is the result. Where due to anger we throw away some of the best things that we have externally and inwardly.

The thing is to watch the intake of impressions. There is a momen that touches our awareness telling us that we have had enough. It is wise to not allow the circumstances to reach such a point because what happens next may not be fully in control.

End (4475).

Live with the Differences - (4488)

The wise thing to do is to learn to live with the differences between two people's way of thinking and feeling.

It is like to be at peace with the differences. Eventhough differences bring some kind of fricton and a degree of conflict...

This is a paradox but often this is how real things work...

Minor Initiations Notes - (4484)

What is the best preparation one can find for the path? The minor initiations.

The purpose of the minor initiations is to prepare the candidate for the path.

This implies several points. Here is a list of points.

The minor initaitions make the candidate a 'person for the path'. Not a 'person for life'.

The minor initiations reduce our animal nature and bring out more of the real human nature in us.

They teach and work to instill in the person the values and principles that are needed for the path.

They also help to prepare the person for the particular way the Monad of the person wishes to walk the path.

They bring out the weaknesses that must be overcome so that the path in the future will be successful.

They educate the person about the nature of the path. They serve to transfer one's centre of gravity from life to the work, path and Inner Being.

They prepare the person to understand why the practice of Alchemy and to be 'path hardy' ready and fit to face the trials and ordeals of the path in general and the way in which the Inner Being wants to live it.

They intensely assist in trasnferring one's points of reference from the personality to teh work, the path and the Inner Being.

Through the unfoldment of generally difficult circumstances they teach one how to go to one's consciousness and to the work and how to consistently rely on the inner world (consciousness, Being, Masters of the White Lodge) to solve our problems and difficultites.

They assist in clearing much karma. The karma that must be cleared to relatively more free to walk the path.

The minor initiations are very particular and depend entirely on the weaknesses and karma that each person has.

In conclusion, in the realest way possible to prepare ourselves for the path we must seek teh minor initiations.

Different Angle Transmutation Notes - (4486)

This post is about some notes to do with the sexual energy and the transmutation of the energy - hoping to depart from a angle not often taken in previous posts.

The sexual energy liberates or enslaves. In spiritual endeavours the sexual energy is used to liberate.

The sexual energy in the spiritual field has three general uses. One is the transmutation of the raw sexual energy which extracts the metallic soul of the sexual energy, Two, building the solar bodies and three, eliminating the psychological defects.

The sexual energy enters into the psychological and spiritual/esoteric fields. Therefore the sexual energy is a psychological energy and also a spiritual energy.

It is a part of ourselves. It is also a part of love. In fact it is the roots of love.

Because it is a part of ourselves we find ourselves with some kind of relationships to it. We all relate to it. Well, poorly or somewhere in between... But of course it is good for our self-knowledge where we are at.

Within the psychological sphere of relating to it we see so much...

In relations we see ethics... There exists an ethical conduct towards the sexual energy. Awareness of this question of ethics related to the sexual energy arises once we study sexuality and spirituality together. Before that moment ethics and sexual energy don't rhyme.

In general respect is always shown in a consistent line of behaviour as is love etc. If we love someone we don't love them one day and then then hate them the next. At some point we have to define ourselves in relation to such values of love and respect. we can't be on the fence forever... In the end we fall off the fence and neither respect nor love...

So we loving and respecting the sexual energy means to relate towards it in one way...

Sexual energy produces the battle of spiritual definition within us. Black, grey or white...

The sexes also battle...Sexual energy is dynamic and wishes to expand, almost like conquer according to its nature... We derive much benefit by turning its focus and direction of flow inward where it advances and conquers inwardly.

Love is like a tree, with the roots being the sexual energy.

More later on...

Notes on Problems - (4483)

This post presents some more notes on the topic of problems and solving problems.

For every problem there is a solution.

What is a problem at one level of the Being is not a problem at another level.

The lower levels of the Being are characterised usually by many problems. Because at the lower levels of Being the conditioning is greater, making things more complicated. When there is a lot of complication there is not much room to move before things become a problem. The higher levels of the Being are less complicated and conditioned and therefore less problematic.

A person is not a problem. A person is a person.

Sometimes there is no outside solution but only an inner solution.

The solution to the problem often is in the problem itself.

The right attitude towards problems is everything.

Solving problems in fact make us to grow and rise in our level of Being.

A wise person solves problems before they arise.

Within every problem there is a choice.

We need to know how to solve problems. We need to know how to put our consciousness to work to solve them.

We don't fix or solve egos we dissolve them.

Often after a meditation, or in a retreat or talking to a master our problems dissolve and we can't find our problems. They’ve all gone…

Notes on Solving Problems - (5308)

Gnosis gives a very good set of pointers to do with solving problems.

This post is just a short list of some points to do with what Gnosis says about solving problems.

Don't worry there are meant to be problems to solve in life. Life is a series of continuous problems.

Life is about solving problems.

The attitude we have towards solving problems is a determinant factor. For problems inside of us o disappear we basically we have to become someone who loves facing and solving problems. Then a problem is not a 'problem' anymore. There are people in life in fact who really love and make a living off solving problems.

Most professions are about solving some kind of a problem or another. A doctor solves our health problems, an engineer solves a company's technology, electrical and mechanical problems, a cleaner solves the mess problems etc. etc.

Problems are relative. What is a problem for me is not a problem for you. Some things we call problems are not problems. For example, we are hungry and we are at home and our fridge is full of food and yet we say there's nothing to eat - that's not a problem, just open the fridge and make something to eat. If we were on the streets, with no money and where to live and we are hungry then that's a problem.

Many people are in jail because they solved their problems or a problem using the wrong means or in the wrong way or while they were in the wrong internal state.

The solutions that are of value in life are the solutions that are arrived at by applying the Law of Three.

The consciousness is excellent at solving problems and finding solutions.

The mind is not very good. It takes a long time and wastes so much energy trying. Many times if the mind finds a solution, it only holds for a couple of days.

The real solution comes when the mind is not thinking about finding a solution. In other words like what Master Samael expressed: "we solve problems by forgetting them".

Every problem is sustained by the mind. When the mind forgets the problem the problem is gone.

Every problem has two opposing poles. The solution lies in reconciling these two opposite poles. Hence the Law of Three. That is what the Law of Three does so well. It balances or reconciles the opposites. We need a bit of consciousness to do this.

A problem is a drama and it has a beginning, a peak and then an end. This is the law of problems. They all always follow the same pattern.

Changing centres is an excellent, simple and practical way of solving problems.

Problems basically afflict our intellect with worries and our emotion with anxiety, tension, loss and fear...

When the intellect is worried engage the motor centre. When the emotional centre is anxious engage the motor centre.

What are Karmic Relationships About - (4474)

A karmic relationship is a relationship of usually two karmic instruments.

A karmic instrument is one that works in some way to disturb, and because of that disturbance many things can happen such as a lowering or diminishing of certain values...

A karmic instrument is one that does not change so easily. This is because the karma in the relationship does not permit it.

A dharmic instrument on the other hand is one that dies in him or herself, and by so doing does not bring hardship to the other person and other people.

In a karmic relationship there is quite frequently an exchange of pain or difficulty. Pain and difficulties seem to be the exchange currency...

A karmic relationship is marked by many negative recurrences...

A karmic relationship has as its destiny the payment of karmic debts. After that it may continue and change drastically in quality or the karmic payment contract may finish and so does the relationship.

A karmic relationship has a purpose that is usually defined and limited. Because the basis of the relationship is limited to a set of conditions. Anything that is conditioned is often faces difficulty.

A dharmic or conscious relationship is one that is not so conditioned and because of that there are much more possibilities.

Life's Problems and Sexual Energy - (4482)

Let's face it, life is just a series of problems to be solved. A continuous stream. The stream may flow faster some days and trickle the next. We all want the trickle but we get the fast flowing mountain river.

I think any leader, manager or head of any organization knows about this. They are always solving problems - only the difficulty and number varies, but that is the constant - life is about solving problems.

Anyway to solve problems in life we need solutions. Often good old known standard solutions do the trick but sometimes not, and so we need creativity and that is where the sexual energy comes from.

Thanks to our sexual energy we can come up with creative solutions to our life's problems.

That's one of its roles in creation.

So when we transmute we make our physical organs more creative and more capable of solving life's problems.

Ancient Principle to do with Esoteric Powers - (4481)

There is an ancient principle as old as man, which says that if a person is to gain esoteric powers and if those powers give the person an advantage over others. That person who has received those powers, must help those that he or she now has an advantage over.

Beautiful! That is justice! That way, balance is always preserved!

End (4481).

The Values of the Soul Take a Little Bit of Time to Work - (4476)

We have to give the values of our souls a little bit of time to work.

Most often when we bring a value and be it in any given situation it may not have an effect until later on.

For example, someone may be deeply upset and angry with and at us, and we remain calm, exercising patience, exercising the truth, exercising correctness, exercising fairness and trusting by not jumping to any wrong and early conclusions. Doing this may not seem to produce any magical results, we continue to get insulted for quite a time afterwards. However give it time...

After a day or two when there is space (ego subsides) in the other person or people these values will do their work. They will produce the compensation and the right results by magic.

Then we know directly that if we did not bring and be the values of the soul we would not be in the magic...

Even when we pray asking for help to solve any issue or problem the help most often comes in parts the day after and the day after that.

We need some patience and to give everything time, because the effects of any of our values unfolds from above from within the higher parts of our inner Being.

Just Not Taking 5 Minutes - (4480)

Just not taking minutes in the morning to focus, quieten the mind a little and then begin the tasks of your day can mean the difference between a scatter brained, all over the place unproductive day and a focused -productive day.

Respect we Lack and Need - (4469)

Where do we lack respect?

Respect exists in the five centres of the human machine. We can have different levels of respect and disrespect in each centre. Knowing this is, is something of self-discovery.

We all in general lack respect where there is ignoring (ignorance) and a lack of knowledge and experience.

We all in general respect the pain or sufferings of others because we have either experienced that before or have seen others close to us pass through that or we can consciously imagine and therefore feel its difficulty.

The real respect that comes from the conscious knowing of the difficulties people face in life is a powerful antidote to arrogance.

We all in general in the moment that anger, pride and lust appear in our human machine lack respect for both others and ourselves.

We also all in general all lack respect for the spiritual or the esoteric. The lay person scoffs and mocks the esoteric teachings - saying they are woo-hoo and 'a load of baloney'.

When we don't think or either don't want to think esoterically we stop respecting the esoteric.

What Does Respect Do? - (4478)

It does not cross the lines of order, the lines of balance and the lines of reality.

It knows and or perceives all these invisible lines...

It listens and waits for the appropriate moment to speak... Which could be within 30 seconds or after 10 minutes - just the appropriate and called for time. In other words the right moment.

It knows the nature and purpose of all events and sticks to that in actions...

False or Conditioned Respect - (4477)

We can have respect out of fear or out of tolerance and in some cases indifference can look like respect.

In the above statement the conditioning factor is fear. We respect a lion, cobra, tiger or a shark out of fear.  We respect such an animal because of how the animal could so easily harm us. The truth is though that if we had a gun and we came face to face with such an animal we would most likely shoot it - indicating we don't really have respect for it but fear. Respect brings love but fear brings harmful actions.

To get something from somebody we may respect. For example an employee respects the boss so that he will get promoted. Though as soon as he is not promoted he does not respect the boss's anymore and the first thing he disrespects is the boss's decision to not promote him.

We often give respect based on certain often silent conditions that our respect will be returned with some kind of favour.

We may be insulted and we look inside of ourselves we are not what they say we are and the respect for ourselves is not lost then we won't feel disrespected, and so we won't demand respect back from them. We then actually respect their point of view and don't try to change it.

The real respect is outside of any conditioning factor. In the example above, fear makes us to respect. When it is our essence or the love in our essence that makes us to respect then it is real respect.

What brings real respect is real knowing and lived experience plus love. In other words as with all the virtues - degrees of consciousness brings degrees of respect.

Even our personality makes us to respect and disrespect. Our personality is a factor which conditions our respect.

Culture is a component of our personality and it also conditions our respect quite a lot.

In a very macho culture to be insulted by a woman is a terrible sign of disrespect and the insulted man has to do something to get that woman to respect him. In other cultures a woman insulting a man is not seen as such a terrible sign of disrespect.  So in a macho culture women respect men more but in culture with out machoism women respect men less.

What Don't We Respect? - (4468)

We don't respect or we can't respect what we don't know or we are not aware of.

We respect what has value. We can only truly value something by knowing it.

We also don't respect what in a given moment anger, pride or lust disregard or put aside.

Several egos in ourselves put aside respect. The human personality in ourselves does not respect the spiritual...

End (4468).

Respect Won and Lost - (4473)

Respect is something that is won and lost. Respect is also something to a certain level that is given.

The given basic level of respect always remains unless one's it is because of one's karma that it is not given for a period of time.

The extra level of respect is one that is won and lost. It is often this extra level of respect that is not seen by everyone.

For example Master Samael was a man and someone off the street would treat him as an equal. But someone in the Gnostic teachings would treat him with great respect much more than the person off the street.

This extra respect is real, as Master Samael had been working for years to deserve that and the only difference is that the Gnostic student can see that, but the man off the street being asleep does not see that. This is a extra bit of respect is universal. All who awaken will see and feel the same respect. Because if the man off the street began to work on himself he would then see Master Samael's work and then respect him also.

The respect that a crime boss has is one due to fear, a conditioned respect. If we look at this example of conditioned respect from a universal perspective we see that we can't really give such a person that extra bit of respect because such a person does not respect others with such organized crime.

Anyway we can win or lose this extra bit of respect with our actions alone!

End (4473).

Respect Area List - (4466)

Areas

We all currently have our particular distribution of values.

Of the values we have, we all have a particular distribution of how widespread that value is in our life.

For example, respect. Respect covers many areas of life. We may be very respectful in several areas but in other areas we are disrespectful.

This post makes an attempt at listing the areas of life where there can be respect and therefore the opposite: disrespect.

The aim of this post is be of some use as a guide showing us where we can find our respect and disrespect.

In general the areas of respect are: towards people, God and Nature.

Respect Towards People

Respect a person's privacy. Respect a person's will. Respect a person's feelings. Respect a person's parents. Respect a child. Respect a person's body. Respect a person's rights. Respect a person's right to be wrong. Respect a persons' right to speak. Respect a person's right to keep silent. Respect that a person is married. Respect a person's freedom. Respect what a person loves. Respect a person's age. Respect a person's wishes. Respect a person's ideas. Respect a person's opinion. Respect a person's personal space. Respect a person's talent. Respect a person's experience. Respect a person's life. Respect a person's possessions. Respect for a person's house. Respect for the human law. Respect for the rules. Respect for a person's nationality. Person for the way a person does something. Respect for the authorities. Respect for a person's time. Respect for a person's wishes. Respect for a person's heart.

Respect Towards Nature

Respect for the environment. Respect for mineral, plant and animal life. Respect for the right of living creatures to live as nature planned. Respect the pristine condition of nature. Respect the ways of nature. Respect all of life. Respect for the Laws of Nature. Respect the appearance of nature. Respect the limits and quantities of nature. Respect the balance of nature. Respect the beauty of nature.

Respect Towards God

Respect for the truth. Respect for Divine Will. Respect the light. Respect for God. Respect for the teachings. Respect for the sacred books. Respect for religions.

The essence of respect is really all about seeing the divine values in whatever it is we respect. to respect is to see the esoteric side. Respect is born when we see the esoteric or spiritual side of things. The more we see the spiritual side the greater our respect. The capacity see the spiritual side of things comes directly from our degree of self-knowledge. Because self-knowledge is to see and know the Divine within ourselves.

Respect Cultivation Method - (4465)

Here is a simple method that one can use to cultivate respect and any virtue or value for that matter.

Know the value, study it to get an idea of what it is, what it does and how it does things...

At every moment ask yourself: what would respect do? What would respect say? How would respect proceed?

Know then what to do and separate any ego what would have you do or say otherwise and then go and act.

End (4465).

What Cultivating Respect Gives Us - (4464)

Knowing what any virtue, value or quality brings us helps us to cultivate it.

Knowing what each value will give us makes us conscious of the value's use.

We are all basically in these studies to cultivate the virtues of the soul...

Respect is certainly one of these virtues as are so many more.

Respect will bring us the power to stop degeneration within ourselves and stop any degenerative processes continuing in our centres.

Respect brings us to a clear resolution.

Respect allows us to value things and therefore behave appropriately according to their value.

Respect allows us to stop anger, pride and lust...

Respect allows us to pass esoteric tests...

Respect allows us to abide by the Law - external and internal...

Respect allows us to reach closure and peace and to turn inward to solve problems and to die in our defects.

Respect allows us to see the will of others and to allow the flow of life to flow...

Allows us to have an essence to essence relationship because an essence to essence relationship is one where respect is the primary virtue.
