Self-Compassion is an Inner Mechanism of Compensation for When we Fail

Introduction This is a very strange assertion: to say that self-compassion is an inner mechanism of compensation for when we fail. The aim of this post is to make this statement a lot more understandable and ultimately real to you. Compassion of a very ordinary mechanical type is brought forth in people when we see that others are suffering, undergoing a difficult time or have failed in something or rather, and or are worse off than ourselves. So self-compassion is ourselves giving that to ourselves, but in the wrong way, where we just end up getting stuck, not getting up (and trying again) and feeling worse and worse about ourselves, others, our situation and the world. An Inner Mechanism of Compensation? Self-compassion is really a compensation for when we fail in life, or in any endeavour that we undertake, whether it be something in our human life or something in our spiritual life. When we fail we need something to console us and to commiserate our failure,...

Links: Physical, Psychological and Esoteric

Links I think that all human beings without exception have some sort of links. We All Have Links We all have links or connections in the field of life, that is true without a doubt. If we have a family or belong to one we have family links or connections, if we work we have professional or work related connections, and if we are not complete recluses we have connections or links with friends and acquaintances. We also have certain other types of links, of which some that are psychologically based and some that are esoteric, that is hidden away from the eye but none the less in existence. LinkedIn and Facebook There are even web sites such as LinkedIn and Facebook to manage all these professional and social links or connections for us. If a person who has a very public face in an important position such as a CEO or a government official, there secretaries and appointment books to manage all those links and connections with people. General Rule In general, if we ...

Lust is About Imbalance

Introduction This is a very strange assertion: to say that lust is about an imbalance. The aim of this post is to make this statement much more understandable. How is Lust an Imbalance? Due to desire a need is born inside of us, and this need pushes us from inside to go and balance this desire with fulfilment or satisfaction. Lust looks to make its desire a reality, or in other words it tries in its first attempt to find someone to satisfy or satiate its desire. Lust has the in-built need to balance its desires with real sensations or anything else that bring some satisfaction and therefore balance. Desire Equals Imbalance Somewhere within us there is a scale and on one side there is the desire weighing heavily and on the other side there is nothing there but an empty plate. This empty plate creates an imbalance, and as it is a law of nature to always seek a state of balance or equilibrium, the human being in this situation looks for a way to add something to the...

Transmutation - the Way to Defeat the Mechanisms of Nature

Mechanisms of Nature Nature is full of mechanisms, and she uses some of these mechanisms to keep us asleep so that we can be used to serve her purposes, and her purposes are essentially to maintain what has already been created. One Large Mechanism There is one important task that nature has to take care of, and it is maintaining what has already been created, and to do this nature needs that its creatures cooperate with the reproduction of their own species. This has directly to do with sexuality, and yes it affects us or influences us, just as it affects the animals. It must affect us because we are the most important organ or creature in nature. How Nature Fulfills Her Tasks Now nature needs that essentially we reproduce or in other words marry and have children. But to get us to do that is the hard thing, this is where she, nature, has to use some of her mechanisms and tricks. Inflames Our Sexual Energy Nature uses the very nature of our sexual energy (...

Forms that the Egos of Lust Take in Dreams or Internal Experiences

Introduction In our dreams or internal visions, that usually occur while being a little drowsy during meditation, we can see our egos. Each ego is seen as having a distinct form. The form that an ego takes can certainly vary. It can take the appearance of something decent to something very grotesque. And furthermore the form that they take varies between individuals. However, the good news is that there are certain forms that are common among individuals and these forms are archetypical. For example, the most common form that egos appear with seems to be the animal form, and this makes sense as the ego is something inhuman and animal in nature. There are also archetypes for each type of ego, for example the egos of lust can take the appearance of animals such as pigs and snakes, maybe even dogs or monkeys. The Egos Have a Look of Hatred If in the dream or experience you are able to see the way the ego looks at you, you will see that the ego looks at you with disdain ...

Transmutation is a Sacrifice (Dissolution of Lust)

Introduction Transmutation is really a sacrifice, but it is one that is very rewarding and much more beneficial to one’s: health, ethics and morale. Anyone who Transmutes will Know Anyone who has seriously tried to transmute would have understood that it is really a sacrifice and that it is not so easy to transmute and at times it requires a great effort on our part to defeat its opposite and genuinely transmute. Stop: What is Transmutation? For those new to the term of transmutation, it in Gnosis means the transformation of the sexual energy. Where the sexual energy (seminal entity) is not lost or expelled from the body, but transformed from its semi solid semi liquid state into energy that is moved through the body to certain principal organs where it is absorbed energising and enlightening those organs Why is it a Sacrifice? Why transmutation is a sacrifice can be understood through this I think, very common human experience. As we eat, breathe and think o...

The Essence Must Command the Body

What we Really Are What we really are is an essence or a soul housed in a suit of flesh and bone. Be it an extraordinarily marvellous suit of flesh and bone, none the less even though we have such a suit what we really are is the living intelligent principle that animates, brings and gives life to that suit of flesh and bone. Natural Transformation When we understand that, that what we really are is the essence or the soul, then a very natural and logical transformation occurs within the relationship between our consciousness and our body. A certain gap or separation is produced in that relationship. We are a Soul in a Body Instead of the relationship being of the nature where we are one with the body or where we are the body the relationship is transformed into that of we are the consciousness and we have a body and we really must look after it and use it wisely. The Essence/Soul Must Command A very natural consequence of that transformation in our consciousness b...

The Question of How to Die Mystically

A Conscious Work and a Science Dying mystically is a matter of a conscious choice and conscious work. Nonetheless there is a science or a procedure involved. The process of the death of an ‘I’ or a defect may vary between each individual, however that process even though it appears to be different passes through these five very broad stages. An Exception I would just like to say at this moment before we get too far into the topic of the five broad stages of mystical death, that in esotericism, there are always exceptions, and in the case of mystical death there are certainly exceptions. More will be covered regarding this later on in this post, see the section Kabbalistical Barks. Five Broad Stages The five broad stages through which one moves through when working for the death of an ego or ‘I’ are: 1.) Observation. 2.) Separation. 3.) Comprehension. 4.) Repentance. 5.) Elimination. Note, Master Samael made these a little simpler, instead of five st...

Alchemy and an Alchemical Partner are for the Being

Three Factors Of the three factors, the first is for us, the second is for the Being and the third is for humanity (sorry, I would just like to here, reacquaint with the three factors, they are: first-death, second-birth and third-sacrifice). First Factor By working in mystical death we benefit ourselves, because we remove the causes of pain that directly affects us. So we benefit ourselves and also our Being as we lighten his and our karmic debt and allow Him freer communication and expression in us (we also feel more happiness as the Being is made of the nature of happiness). However, it is basically us that reap the benefits of the death of our egos, the Being is up there in the internal worlds happy. Third Factor When we make sacrifices of our time, energy and way of life to help humanity we are benefitting and giving to humanity. So the third factor is primarily for humanity, however by the law of cause and effect it also benefits us as we acquire the merits to rece...

The Being Will Help – So Go For It!

Don’t Forget We very often forget that our Being and our Divine Mother can help us. Because we forget this we face challenges only thinking of our capabilities and not of what we can do with our Being and Divine Mother behind us. We even actually forget that our Being can do things through us and that it is not us doing it it is the Being himself doing it. Take the Challenge Remembering that our Being will help us when things get difficult, I say go and take the challenge! We turn down many opportunities because we think that we can’t do it, that we will fail, but we may just be able to pull it off with the help of our Being and the Masters. Don’t for get to invoke the help of the masters as well, such as Master Samael, Litelantes, Moria, Aroch, Harpocrates and the masters of the Divine Law: Anubis etc. Go For It! So I say go for it! Whatever task, challenge, opportunity etc. is presented before you, big or small, or whatever task or discipline that you would like to...

Numerology of this year 2013 (6)

Kabbalistic Sum of the Year 2013 If we add up kabbalistically speaking the year 2013, we get 2+0+1+3 = 6. The Number 6 - Indecision Every number has its own: wisdom, properties, characteristics, weight, power, vibration and most importantly its own principle or influence. The influence or principle that is most dominant in the number 6 numerologically speaking is indecision! 2013 – A Year that Calls for Definition! For me this number 6 is the worst, it is worse than 5, 8, 16, 18 and 21. It may be en par with number 13 which we know is transformation or death. Anyhow, I have been observing people and my own self as well this year, and certainly it is a year of definition. It is a year where what in us or outside of us is undefined, vague, unresolved, ongoing and ambiguous or on ongoing and problematic comes to a head to be resolved or defined, decided upon or a path chosen. Actually I have seen already this year, ongoing problematic relationships, marriages de...

Daily Psychological Work

Introduction This post is a essentially the presentation of a step by step guided practice that one can go through at one’s leisure at the end of every day. The Practice Relax (Body) 1.) Choose your position and begin by relaxing your body. One very effective way to do this is to use the breathing. 2.) Follow your breath and when you breathe in notice that you are slightly invigorated. This slight bit of energy helps us t maintain the practice. 3.) When you breathe out notice that you relax and that you release tension. 4.) Use the out breath to relax your whole body. See and feel that the tension in your body goes out with each out breath. Relax (Mind and Emotion) 1.) Put your focus into your mind and as you continue to put your focus there, expand your focus to make you gradually aware of all that you have going on in your mind. 2.) Just become aware of what you have in your mind. 3.)Now focus your attention on your emotional centre located in you...

Faith

Way to Faith Master Samael lays down the process in which a person can develop faith. He says that faith which he calls conscious faith, arises in a person when the person divides him or herself into two. That is the division between the external person and the internal person. What is Faith? From the Gnostic point of view faith is consciousness, or in other words it is knowledge, knowing, wisdom, conviction and power. It is not by no stretch believing in things, it is rather about knowing. It certainly is not blind, like the faith of a miner that says “ok now with this hit of my pick against the rock I will find gold.” The miner does not know that he will strike gold but hopes eternally that with every strike he will. The real faith is about knowing and seeing. Internal Person Master Samael says that when the human being begins the esoteric work on him or herself they begin to become acquainted with the inner person and as they work they will cultivate the inner person ...

Transmutation and the Dissolution of Lust

Our Mind and Sexual Energy are Linked Just in case you do not know or are not fully aware of it, there is a very strong link between our mind and our sexual centre. We know that our thoughts, especially our imagination affects our sexual centre, I’m sure everyone knows about this. Mind Affects Sex So it is quite easy to accept then that the thoughts we think can stir up, pacify or direct our sexual energy. That is well known, but it is not so well know that our sexual energy can affect our mind. Sex Affects Mind This has to be so, that the state of the sexual energy affects our mind. This is so because any type of relation goes two ways. In fact we often in relationships only see one side and we make the mistake here of only really seeing one side too, the side that the thoughts affect the sexual energy. Both are linked and they share a similar nature, just as in the theory of yoga that if one controls the breath, one controls the mind and the sexual energy. ...

Kundalini

Muladhara Chakra The kundalini is located in the Muladhara chakra at the base of our spine. Kundalini is also a Sanskrit word meaning fundament or foundation. The kundalini is in fact the base of our spine. In the Muladhara chakra there is a magnetic centre called kanda or kinder or kandar. It is located in the upper part of the chakra and it has the shape of an egg, and in this egg is concentrated all the force of prana, that comes to us through the chakras. The chakras receive this energy from all that we hear, touch, smell, breathe, experience etc. and all the prana that comes through the Akash, through the ether and finally through the tattwas into the body. Kanda In kanda arise three channels, which are ida, pingala and sushumna. These channels are called nadis, nadis is a Sanskrit word that means movement, it is actually the word nad that means movement in Sanskrit. Nadis The nadis are fine conductors or channels through which the energy in the kanda can be release...
