Notes No doubt that finding a true esoteric school of awakening is the most important and transcendental thing that can happen in the life of a person. It is a most impactful and life changing event. If it is the most important it is also the saddest event when a true esoteric school is abandoned. Life without a school is a series of accidents, comedies, tragedies and dramas. The most important requirement of the school is to be true to yourself. Each school has a teacher and students, objectives and methods to achieve those esoteric objectives of awakening and liberating the essence so that the Spirit of man can incarnate. We only ever die in what's relatively good.  What any ego likes is 'good' to it. What the ego desires is the 'good' to it. Because there is a relative good that 'good' is an evil for someone else. These relative 'goods' end up destroying what we love and try to protect. A father thinks it is good that things in his home are in order, and to maintain order he will use certain means, with the most common being anger. As it is good that there is order in his home, he will never think of dying in anger yet alone the need for order. Later in time his strict adherence to order and his anger to maintain it, will destroy the home where his wife and children leave him to be alone to be his 'order'. We need to open ourselves up and educate ourselves to die in the 'good'. Becasue we will NEVER DIE! Here are some notes about the real value of compassion directed towards ourselves. Normally we want compassion from others in the form of: understanding, in the form of concession, in the form of justification, in the form of others taking on our burdens, in the form of others doing things for us that we should do ourselves and in the form of not having to change... Often we get upset with others who do not offer this form of compassion. This is self-compassion in action. It wants compassion for our personality and our 'myself' or "I". It does not want real compassion but a compassion that benefits our defects keeping them just as they are. This is not real compassion! Real compassion wants us to not stay as incompetent, lazy, half-baked, half-developed, defective and sick, but to be fully developed, strong, fully capable and healthy and active.  We know kindness goes with compassion and this is real kindness to ourselves to want ourselves to change.  An excellent diagram to see where the centres of our human machine and our senses connect to our brain.  Our brain is the receptor of our mind. Our mind connects to these areas of our brain. There is a certain interaction between two people and there is the sequence of moments that ends and then there is the result. This result has a visible and an invisible part.  The invisible part is the magical sum or weighing up of interchanged values that is transferred to the causal world where it is processed to become a new seed cause that will set up future events and interactions. That summed result in the causal world or cause seed through all the many marvelous interconnections in the causal world begins to expand and almost like dominos begins to arrange events that will become a chain of cause and effect that will act to balance an imbalance in values between the two people.  Each domino is a seed cause for what happens next. What happens can always be modified by modifying that seed cause.  The magic then is to be able to access the causal world and change that seed or cause which is starting to expand out into future chains of cause and effect.
