The Ego is About Receiving

Our Problem is Receiving - Always Wanting to Receive What the ego is centred around in so many cases is receiving. The ego is really about a one way street where we only receive. The ego itself is immensely happy to just receive and receive and receive without end. It is something else in us that wishes to give, it is the love of the essence and the essence perceiving that it is wrong to ignore the law of balance and not give anything in return. Receiving Centre of Gravity The ego unfortunately has a problem of only receiving, very much like the Moon. Well this isn’t the problem, the problem is the expectation of receiving love from somebody for example. When the expectation is not met there is some sort of wondering why not? And the thinking continues: “what I have done wrong?”, ”how can you be so rude?”, and “how can I fix this?”. The point here is that we suffer when we have expectations to receive and they are not met. The best way to eliminate egos that are based on r...

The Being’s Strength Maintains His Essence

Tests of the Being We have learnt from Master Samael that the Being from time to time tests His essence to know what He has in His essence. It is sort of a self-evaluation, it is the Being testing the weakest or furthest part of Himself. The weaker His essence the weaker He is. There is that saying that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. The Being wishes to know as Master Samael says: how strong His essence is to face the circumstances present in creation; how strong are the values of His essence, how strong is the nobility of His essence, how strong is the chastity of his essence, how strong is the humility of His essence, how penetrating, how expansive is His consciousness etc. etc. Strength of the Being We as people, that is a human body, with an essence inside it also test the Being, or rather make Him to exert His strength. The human being with the pluralised “I” is moved constantly in the direction of error and grave errors. The Being from the causal dime...

Creating Merits

We honestly need to create merits. Why, because nearly everything is a question of merits. We are helped because of our merits, we advance because we have the merits. We have what we have due to our merits. The more merits we have the more we are respected by the Divine Law, the Gods and human beings, and the more help, assistance, guidance, protection we attract. What are Merits? Merits are very simply put – values. Or to make a very simple analogy, merits are like coins, that instead of having a human monetary value, they have a universal cosmic value. Just like coins that have a human monetary value, the more merits a person has the greater the person’s cosmic value and the more cosmic transactions can be made with those cosmic merits. Another word for merits is cosmic capital. Our merits are stored in our dharma and are registered in the tribunal of cosmic law. How to we Create them? Merits are essentially won based on good actions, actions that were based on ...

Hidden Meaning of the Ego

What is it? Each ego or “I”, as Master Samael tells us, has a secret or hidden meaning, that is only revealed to the person in the final stages of the dissolution of an ego. Master Samael also says that a person may even dissolve an ego without knowing the hidden meaning, the danger in that is that because the person does not know the hidden meaning he or she may recreate the same ego in the future, perhaps in another life or Mahamanvantara. Summary In summary the hidden meaning of an ego is the deepest truth behind its creation or reason of existing. Each ego hides many truths but beyond that there is the hidden truth as to why it exists or is created in human beings, and that is the hidden meaning of the ego.

Ego, “I’s” and Defects – What’s the Difference?

Ego = “I” An ego is the same as an “I”. In fact, “Ego” in Greek is “I”. So wherever you see or hear the word “ego” it is the same as “I”. Many Egos = Many “I’s” In Gnosis we know that the ego or the ‘I’ is pluralised, that is there are many egos or “I’s”, not just one. So we can say either that we have many egos and or many “I’s” in our psychology. An ego or an “I” could be small or it could be large, usually in Gnosis the word or term used to describe the structure of all the egos or “I’s” put together is the term “the myself”. Master Samael uses this term quite frequently in his books “The Great Rebellion” and “Treatise of Revolutionary Psychology”. The “I’s” or egos also fall into groups that is they belong to one or another defect. A Defect and the Egos or “I’s” Basically a defect is something much bigger than an “I” or an ego. A defect is a wrong functioning of the essence and it is made up of, or characterized by, or acquires its certain qualities, charac...
