Submit At Least to Truth and Justice - (5799)

It may be absurd to submit our will to someone. Especially if it is not for any kind of payment or superior cause.  We may submit our personal will for love and we may submit our personal will to keep our job and get paid. What about submitting our pride? When speaking of pride, it is difficult to submit to anyone. There seems to be an exception. Pride may allow us to submit to someone, only if that makes us, in some kind of way superior. Normally, it is difficult to submit to another person even when there is reward and or a superior cause. Imagine now, when pride is involved it is almost impossible. To work effectively on pride, at some point we have to work up the power within us to submit it. A way that gives us this pwoer is to find a true superior cause. This superior cause must have the following two properties. It must not be personal, meaning it must be above the realm of what is personal and it must have power (noble and divine is best).  This cause could be lov...

Learning How to Listen Tips - (5798)

Here are some basic tips about listening. They are simple, so simple, we don't ever follow them, yet they make such a huge difference and they really make us to listen consciously as Gnosis teaches us to. One tip to keep the mind quiet while listening is not to judge. Judging makes us to stop listening and makes our thinking go heavy. Another tip when listening is to just place attention on what is being said and don't think about what we are going to say next or what our answer will be. When listening, try to create a space of equality and respect, where all involved do not feel intimidated or disresepcted. This will create an openess where all involved can bring their differences without anyone becoming defensive. Ask questions instead of interjecting with opinions or interpetations. This helps us to make sure we are hearing correctly. Run past the speaker what we have understood. This lets the speaker know we are understanding and the speaker is communicating their ideas cle...

Paradox Sexuality and Consciousness - (5797)

The consciousness works in paradox. When we work with a paradox we are also activating and allowing our consciousness to work. Only a flexible and intelligent awareness (consciousness) can oversee a paradox. The mind always falls confused before a paradox, because it can not entertain two oppopsites at once. Many people are a paradox and that is why with our mind we just can not understand them. We need our consciousness to understand people. A paradox is the opposites in operation working as a whole towards activating consciousness. A paradox is sexual where the two opposites join forces to produce the law of three, whose result is consciousness.  To listen is a paradox. We need one part of ourselves to be quiet, that is passive, so that the other part that listens can become active. Yet for that part that listens to become active, another part, called will is needed to decide that. For real listening the mind must turn passive i.e. feminine, and the will being active, must ignite...

Impeccable Start - (5796)

The goal of being impeccable is a goal for evey day. Almost impossible to achieve but that is not the goal, the gaol is to work intensely at it. This is so important for us to understand. Because in trying to be impeccable we create a 'perfect personality' and just become identified and preoccupied with appearing or acting impeccably. To become identified or create another aspect of our personality is not the goal. The goal is to work intensely to be impeccable with self-observation and self-remembering and apply what we discover from that in action and word. To go closer to an impeccable day we need an impeccable start. The best place always to start with that impeccability is with the strong effort to be impeccable in Self-observation. We will find that we can more readily be impeccable in self-observation than in action and word. We get better in action and word when our self-observation and alertness improves. End (5796).

Living Day to Day - (5795)

We ahve heard so many missionaries and even Master Samael himslef living day to day, only having enough money to get through that day and not knowing where the money for tomorrow is going to come from. For sure it's very uncomfortable for our human part and our mind. It's the realm of the unknown. Especially when we are living this way for a mission, where we know if we were in not in a mission it would be all known. To live day to day is to live on the edge. Push ourselves into a zone where the mind is not helpful and we only have one option but to live in the moment and to trust the Inner Being and the White Lodge for whom the mission is assisting. So different to ordinary life where we are there working for ourselves and our family and we have our job doing the same thing everyday. We have some savings and we can project a few years into the future and estimate how much money we will have minus expenses known and unknown. Things are ok and all we need to do is turn the handl...

See the Truth No Matter Who It's From - (5793)

That is the problem of pride it blocks us from seeing and accepting the truth abut ourselves presented from others. To get into that block and find out why, is the most important thing.  The 'why' could be a fear of some kind. Perhaps the fear of becomming subservient. Having to constantly succumb to the power of the truth. But isn't the truth meant to set us free? It always does set us free! There are three types of freedom. Freedom in silence, freedom in love and freedom in hatred. Subservience leads to freedom in hatred. When the person subservient later explodes. The truth can be used to create resentment or to be used to dissolve the "I". When used to dissolve the "I" it brings freedom in silence and later freedom in love.  Truth is not personal, if one sees a truth others will also see the same truth. We are not acknowledging the person but the impersonal truth that a person can speak. End (5793).

'Unbalanced' Notes - (5778)

Introduction This post is a list of some of the things we do when we are psychologically unbalanced. It is a good 'to fix' list in our work towards the fourth type of man - the balanced man. Reviewing this list will show us that we can only really be the balanced man through lots of psychological work. 'Unbalanced' to Balanced List The list below presents the unbalance. It is for us to use as a tool to bring what is unbalanced into balance. •We say we like balance, in the sense of presenting both sides, yet we tend to one side only. Mostly the negative side. What we tell others to do we don't or can't do. We give advice we ahve never followed or don't follow. We talk more than we do. We don't tolerate others judging others yet we judge othres and are critical in our own way. Our own way of things is special and is not the norm standard error. There is always soemthing special about our errors making them not 'errors'. We can't see the wrong a...

Doorway Through Tense Body Part - (5792)

The ego is tension in our body. A knot of energy Master Samael says. When energy is knotted there is automatically tension. When energy flows there is relaxation.  The particular character of the ego's energy knot always reflects in tensing one part of the body more than others. That is why in time when an ego manifests constantly certain particular ailments appear due to this ongoing tension. If we observe which part tenses we can gain more insight into the nature of that ego. For example, why does anger tense our jaw, fists, neck and head muscles? There are keys there to discover. From a practical point of view if we can deliberately relax that body part we can relax much more when that ego is wanting to manifest. Therefore with more relaxation we can gain more separation which will help us in the elimination process. End (5792).

Second and Third States of Consciousness Notes - (5791)

Notes - Second vs Third The second state of consciousness is called vigil, because that is the main task: to be vigilant always watching consciousness to be it back to reality and the present moment.  In the second state, our consciousness sleeps, dreaming projecting forwards and backwards in time. In the second state our attention is constantly hooked. When our attention is hooked for too long we identify with what our attention is placed on.  Once we are identified we become fascinated and once we are fascinated we begin to dream.  When we dream we are hypnotised by the interests of the new identity we have assumed. When we are hypnotised we are far from reality. To be aware and awake is to see reality. Consciousness sees reality. That is one of its main functions. It is light that sees what is, that is, what there is to see. In the second state we are not responsible, there are many contradictions and we do nto know oursleves. In the second state of consciousness we do...

To Be Superior is Lazy - No Improvement - (5790)

The belief of superiority serves laziness really well. To be 'superior' means that we don't need to change anything we are on top and what is below is what has to change. It also serves the false belief of not needing to make effort. In many ways the belief of being 'superior' works in favour of the sleep of our consciousness. End (5790).

We Accept the Values of the Ego - (5789)

The issue we have initially is that we truly the accept the values of any ego that we have. The turning point always comes when we stop accepting the values of the ego. When we are working on any ego and we are struggling with it, we often discover secretly to ourselves that we 'love' the ego. This 'love' comes from accepting its values.  We ignore this often. In changing that ignorance is the solution. To become aware that we accept the values that the ego presents. Once we know that we accept them, the next step is to study and accept other values which undo the ego. For example in pride, we accept the value of superiority or inferiority. Once we know this, it is then to study 'balance' and the 'what is of oursleves' and begin to accept that. With anger we accept the value of violence, whether it be physical, mental or verbal. End (5789).

Dharmic Times Create Fond Nostalgia - (5788)

The dhamric moments that we experience now in the present times of our life will in the future become fond feelings of nostalgia. In fact, nostalgia for the most trivial of things. For example, the stretches of roads driven during dharmic times will register in us as special memories of fond nostalgia. That is often why when we travel there are certain places, roads, landscapes that call out to us saying: "remember those good moments", and a special kind of dejavu of fondness, freedom and intimate solace will appear within us.  End (5788).

If It Can be Made into a Meditation it is Worth Keeping - (5787)

If we can make an activity of our daily life into a meditation, such as driving, walking, shopping, having a conversation then it is worth while doing.  When we are not able to make it into a meditaton then it could be worth while doing less of it. Our life is really an opportunity of meditation.  Our life give us the opportunity for the timeless and non-dual state of our consciousness to flow through the dualities of life and the finite time and space of our physical existence. To then expand into a new life beyond the body.  We can make any activity into a mediation, where psychological observation and separation from the subconscious is cultivated. When we do this, any activity we participate in becomes valuable, both to ourselves and others. That is the essential work of higher states of consciousness - making each activity into a meditation. End (5787).

Work Not Acknowledged - (5786)

Our essence grows from our work. It does not ever grow from the acknowledgment of others. This is the new reference point. Stick closer to our truth that seen with our essence. Adhere closer to our Inner Being to see the signs of improvement and change. Take what is useful to improve from the words of others and then forget them. Continue forward inwardly in silence. End (5786).

Three Minds Commentary - (5784)

A student during a class recently commented that the three minds for her are: 1.) Sensorial Mind: "The seeing is believing guy". 2.) Intermidate Mind: "The believing guy". 3.) Inner Mind: "The I am". (the real guy and the guy who knows) Excellent and insightful summary. These three guys have their uses and must be used by our consciousness in harmony. All three minds have their pros and cons.  We can easily see the limitations of the sensorial and intermediate minds. The inner mind has its con, in the way that what is known through the inner mind can not always be organised and materialised into matter by the sensorial mind.  End (5784).

Stronghold of Pride is the Intellect - (5783)

Pride strengthens and concentrates energy in the intellect, where from there it can attack and counterattack with very strong arguments, that make the personality infallible, justified and unhumiliatable. End (5783).

We Feel Superior and Special Because We Don't Know Ourselves - (5782)

It is a hugely common thing that we all intimately feel special and somewhat better than others.  True we are unique and therefore special and the Being in each one of us is unique and therefore special. However that of intimately feeling special and better is a belief and not an experience of the Being Itself within us. "The reason for being of the Being is the same Being.". The reason why we feel superior and special is because we don't really know ourselves too well. When we really know oursleves we will see that we are so much like others and that we are one of the same among millions. When we know ourselves as essence we then experience a bit of that teaching from Eliphas Levi above: "the reason for being of the Being is the same Being" and we know that is not how the essenc and Being in us feels and thinks.   End (5782).

Breath and Realizations - (5781)

Whenever we comprehend or realise something there is a deep inhalation. Whenever there is recognitoin leading to relief, there is a deep exhalation.  There is a deep connection between apprehension of the truth and our breath. Kether the Father is the Breath of Life and Kether is also the truth. We affirm life with our first inhalation and we confirm the ending of it with our last exhalation. We draw a deep sigh when we accept our hardship and we stop breathing when we get a fright - that is we can't accept something. When we transcend life and enter the illuminating void our breath stops Master Samael says. End (5781).

The Divine Mother is there when we Comprehend - (5780)

A very wonderful instructor gave a talk on Koradi Radio a few days ago and he said something that really impacted. He said that when we comprehend something, our Divine Mother is present right in that moment of comprehension. Especially if it is do with an "I" we are working on. He went on to say that he knows that She is there when we comprehend something. This for me was marvellous, because I have felt the same, though I was never fully sure. This is great news when we want to build a connection to our Divine Mother and doubt when is present. We can know that She is present when we are trying to comprehend. I feel that She really wants us to comprehend the "I" and further more She helps us to comprehend. We can truly ask for Her help to comprehend something and the help will come in such a natural way that we will tend to overlook it.   She is better than Google...  End (5780).

The 'Idea Of' is Greater than the Feeling - (5779)

Often the idea of something is much greater than the actual experience of it. The idea of the sensation is often greater than the sensation itself. The idea of the injection is worse thatn the needle and injection itself. Our intellectual centre can blow things up out of proportion. The experience is the real. From the experience comes the right proportion and new comprehension of what it is. The idea is the stress and the experience the relief. When things are glorified by the mind there is disappointment with the experience. When there is no mind the expereince is better than... End (5779).
