In Fornication is a Deep Seated Disobedience (114)

Introduction

In this post I would like to introduce to you a psychological and esoteric characteristic of fornication that is not commonly thought of as belonging to that ego.

Before I go any further with this post I think that I should spend a brief moment describing what we mean by fornication. In Gnosis, the word fornication is used to describe the act of expelling the sexual energy from the body, and I would like to say that specifically for men the sexual energy is the semen (or seminal entity) and the same applies for women, in that the sexual energy is something physical.

About Pleasure

We commonly think fornication is about pleasure or about a false attempt of possession or about submitting oneself or ingratiating oneself to another person or to a strange pleasure. This is how it looks at the surface, but if we are to look much deeper we will find a certain rebelliousness or a certain defiance or disobedience. The reasons for this are very clear.

Defiance, Disobedience and Rebelliousness

To the keen observer there is a very clear air or sense of disobedience in the ego or egos of fornication. It doesn’t seem like there is at first but there is. The reason why is because fornication is the means by which we err against our inner divinity, it is the means by which we spiritually, psychologically and physically fall and fail. Fornication may not be the cause of the fall, it could though be in some cases but in all the cases it is the vehicle or the instrument of the fall.

So when we have the ego of fornication developed it knows that it is ruining us and to keep itself doing what it does it has to be is in complete rebellion and defiance of the law and our Being. So deep in its nature, is pure rebellion and defiance, and even hatred against what is spiritual. So sometimes we may really dislike anything spiritual and this may come from the ‘I’ of fornication, believe it or not.

Boldness

The ego of fornication is very bold and daring and it gives it that force is that rebelliousness and daring to defy the law and the Being and to march on toward our ruin. It is a very stubborn ego, in that it has some marvellous forces trapped in it, that we really need to liberate so to use it for our realization. One of those forces is the rebellion and the drive toward freedom.

The ego of fornication wants freedom, it wants to do what it does freely without any restriction. So if we free that characteristic and use it for our realisation we will get it, because it is very powerful. Having the ego of fornication makes it impossible for us to get the self-realization because all our rebellious forces are going toward ruining ourselves and going against the law. Really the right place or direction for those forces to be channelled into, is against the ego and for or in line with the Being or the self-realisation.

Conclusion

Work on the ego of fornication, find the rebelliousness and work to change its direction from driving for free pleasure into the real freedom from the ego and from suffering.

End (114).

Attention with Mind, Attention with Essence - (5197)

These two attentions are different. Attention with the mind tires the brain. and reduces the flow of life into steps, where it is inevitable that the narration of the mind begins to take over. With the awareness of steps comes a certain tediousness and the feeling of the flow of life leaving us behind. With the attention of mind very little of what's behind events comes to us... Attention with the essence brings the power of presence, in other words brings a certain depth and continuity of flow  Attention with the essence doesn't tire or strain and opens doorways into perceiving what is behind events and the thoughts and feelings that appear within us. It allows us also to flow with the flow of life, which is a pleasant feeling. Conclusion, make the essence bring attention to outer and inner life. End (5197).

The Sacred Substance Askokin - (962)

Introduction In simple terms, the sacred Askokin substance is the result of the mercury and the sulphur. It is the transmuted energy that crystallises to form the internal bodies (astral, mental and causal). In other words, it is the transmutation of our sexual energies. The Abrustdonis’ and ‘Helkdonis that Gurdjieff mentions in the excerpt below, taken from “Belzeebub’s Tales to His Grandson” are none other than the elements of mercury and the sulphur so spoken about in Alchemy. Excerpt on the Sacred Substance Askokin “I first learned that the destiny of beings arising on this planet of yours is chiefly to elaborate—by means of the process of their existence—the vibrations required by Nature for the maintenance of those former parts of the planet now called Moon and Anulios, when, do you remember, I became worthy personally to converse for the second time with His Conformity the then still Angel, but now Archan...

Wisdom from the Movie “Kingdom of Heaven” - (2168)

Introduction There are some movies that leave you with some pieces of advice that at point or another in your life or in the lives of others prove useful. This movie: “Kingdom of Heaven” was terrible to watch (too many battle scenes and people dying) but offered some very useful messages. In this post, I have presented a few, that have come in handy at point or another. Just to give you a bit of context, the movie is about the crusades, where the French and English were trying to defend the “Holy City” – Jerusalem from Islamic occupation. The topic of religion and God is a constant theme in the movie. It is very violent though, matching it frankly, quite awful to watch. Your Soul is in Your Keeping Alone An interesting dialogue between the French appointed king of Jerusalem and French Knight, the protagonist of the movie. Note, the king wears that metal mask because he has leprosy. King Baldwin I...
