Don’t Make Any Decisions in Pain (214)

When in Pain

When in pain, due to having failed in something, or because something such as a relationship is not going well, we can be pressed by others or more over by our own selves to make a decision.

We usually are on the verge of deciding to “throw in the towel”, on a superficial level regarding some details or on a larger scale, giving up all together.

In Pain is Not the Best Time for Decisions

When we are in pain this is most certainly not the best time to make any kind of decision. I think we have all made this mistake or have at least seen others making this mistake before. Usually when we make a decision based in pain the end result is not good, by experience things don’t really work out. We may even have to spend costly amounts of time to reverse the effects of our bad decision made in pain.

Just Wait a While

If only we can wait a short while for the pain that we are feeling to pass and then re-consider the decision that we were going to make, most of the time we find that we don’t have to make any kind of decisions at all.

Conclusion

So if you ever find yourself in pain and impulsed from inside to make a certain decision, I strongly suggest that you wait until the pain passes and you are in a better internal state and then consider the decision that you were wanting to make.

End (214).
