Self-knowledge in the Gnostic sense is not to know or learn more about ourselves but to undo ourselves.
The more we get to know ourselves the more we see how much falsenss, error and unnecessity there is within us.
To know ourselves ends being to undress ourselves. Which leads us to closer to awakening which is to see our reality - as we truly are.
