What Really is Courage? - (4222)

To know the values that you already have in your essence and to stand by them, defend them and not allow them to be degraded and to jump to grab onto higher values that one sees that one needs.


Courage implies force and energy plus trust in the values we have and the values we are going for.



This is just my opinion anyway - the experience and knowledge of others will I would say differ from this or agree with somewhat.


We can have courage in our essence for the essence and the work, or we can have courage used by the ego for the interests of the ego.

General Manager Resignation Letter - (4221)

We all to some degree are a general manager regarding our life. That is controlling or maybe its better to say trying to control our lives.


Who is really in control? An ego, the mind, the Being, the Law or all of them? Maybe more the mind and an ego or two... Anyway we know the Law - our Karma has the final say no matter what we say or want.


Maybe its better to say that who is control is who we give control to!




If we let go of the mind or any ego that controls and tries to control - basically fear combined with pride and or selfishness, we can give control over to our Being or our essence or the part of the Law that wishes to help us and our Being.


A good idea to give ourselves a strong conscious start of letting go of our mind and any ego playing general manager, is to write a general manager resignation letter...

Sleepwalkers Think of the Issue Too Much - (4220)

What happens with us is that we walk and around do our life thinking about a pressing or worrying issue. This makes us very asleep. Actually sleepwalkers.


Doing this narrows it seems everything. We forget our inner Being, ourselves, our consciousness, our work and even when we try to self-observe or remember ourselves and our work we can only do it for a minute if that.


First thing always is to notice that we are in this state and the way out is one way - STOP THINKING!


I know the mind says no way I can't stop thinking I need to solve this! But we are taught and so correctly too, that the best way to think is to not think!


This does not mean that we just leave the problem to be solved by others or God or life or the wind no, it means that we stop thinking about it and we allow our consciousness time to solve it or work it out and for our Inner Being to work and to provide a solution by moving things outside and or inside us or to simply help us from inside giving us clarity and strength.


If we don't have time well its easier, just decide something or not and keenly observe the consequences and then make amends if we get it wrong.

Inquire into Self During Meditation - (4218)

We can while meditating be in ourselves but yet not quite so inside ourselves.


When we focus on the sense that we have of ourselves we begin to focus our consciousness very much more inwardly.


This is a powerful act of coming home and one of being deeply seated inside ourselves, where much discomfort leaves us and some renewed strength rolls in. 


Then with the consciousness focused more inwardly we receive naturally new information about ourselves. About who or what we are.


We know in such a state that we are not our attributes that we often identify ourselves as...


It is a process of inquiring and peeling back one layer at a time until we get to a point that we understand we are something that we don't really know much about or perceive too well. 


A silent, knowing, intelligent space and energy is what we may feel is behind ourselves...


We are taught that is the presence power, that is the 'being' power in us, the power 'to be', the power to be present here in existence.

Persistance is Most Important - (4217)

In the begining we don't get things very right, we make a lot of errors. The saving grace is that with sincerity if we persist we can correct what we have done wrong and set a new more fruitful course to follow. 


Persisting, if we have still have the opportunity to, we can learn and get better and correct things and eventually get things going well - that is in a balanced way.


The realistic way of balance is walking an oscillating line between two limits that we establish through experience. The closer to balance we get the closer these limits come to each other.

Beethoven, Mozart and Van Gogh with a Mobile - (4216)

I heard a question the other day. That went something like imaginig if Van Gogh had a facebook account and a mobile phone. The point would be that he most likely would not have produced all those sketches, paintings and other works of art that were more than 2000 in total.


I imagine that Mozart nor Beethoven would have given humanity as much as they did if they had a mobile phone with an active social media account.


A good point to reflect on...

Cultivate Self-Respect Notes - (4215)

When it comes to cultivating slef-respect it is useful to see that respect is really so etching that comes from winning admiration.


Just as we come to respect someone because they really in some way have won our admiration we need to do the same for ourselves.


Wining our own admiration comes from, knowing ourselves.


Knowing our good points and knowing that in relation to our bad points - we have much potential to change and transform ourselves just as we have done many times before.


Searching thoroughly through our life we can find our good points.


Knowing what the essence is and what the consciousness is and knowing that we are that, wins a lot of respect. I would say most of our respect for oursleves is based on that single knowing.


Respect is also allowing for our particular nature to be as it is. Respecting its times, its rhythms and its strengths and nature in processing impressions, life, events, decisions etc.


The work on ourselves wins back our self-respect!


Action that enhances our itegrity wins back or strengthens our self-respect.


Noble action in times of strong or difficult adversity strengthens our self-respect.


Self-respect is to not allow oursleves to drop to levels lower than what we are at or what our inner valuies would allow.


To follow the principles of the work, the path and the Being only ever add to your self-respect. The abyss and its ways lowers our self-respect and brings those consequences that I mentioned in an earlier post.

Weakness Remedy Points - (4214)

True we have our weaknesses, all kinds of weaknesses. There are those that we can remedy easily and quickly and those that take time and then there are those that we have tried and tried and have had them for years and they are still there creating the same problems and difficulties for ourselves and others.


Well in the latter case something that we are doing is not working. That's the obvious conclusion.


It may mean that we need help. That we need so seek help from other sources - human and divine. 


But one thing that is for sure true that applies to all weaknesses, is that a weakness is always a lack of consciousness in a particular area.


A lack of consciousness in a particular area!!!


Another truth is, that we can learn the strength that heals that weakness. We can learn it! Others have learnt it and others may even have it naturally (they learnt it before) and if they have it so can we! We have strengths that they don't have which they can learn from us but strengths that we ahve learnt. That's always the way.


So that's where we need to start - increase our consciounsess in that area. So we really need to start off by reading about the strength which is the opposite of the weakness. Read and read, study and study until it starts to gel and sink in. Ask and ask until it sinks in. Then we are starting to get somewhere our consciousness is starting to grow a bit.


Then self-observe deeply and through all the subtle levels, because absolutely for sure we are ignoring something underneath it all. We have to find the subtle thoughts just before we make our usual mistakes with that weakness. There is always some underlying factors we are not conscious of yet. We can read and get ideas about them and then look inside of ourselves to find them using what we read or study as a guide. This really helps a lot actually. Reading from others who have overcome that weakness helps immensely. Talking to others who ahve also overcome it or don't have or have it but are working on it helps too.


In such cases Gnosis may not have the detailed guidance for that particular weakness so we have to find specfic books on it or seek specific help related to that. But Gnosis will certaily give you always the general principles to follow to dissolve or transform the weakness.


So these are just some general points that may be helpful. That's all.

Don't Let Force Connect to the Subconscious - (4213)

Sometimes we need force to respond to the things in life. Which is correct and certainly the right thing to do because to not respond with energy, vigour or force leads to very inconvenient circumstances for us and others. But when we slip up and allow that force to connect with the pain or debt we have in our subconscious we can make big mistakes.


The lesson is to not allow our force or even the anger we are holding back to connect to the pain we have in our subconscious because it will get a tremendous boost of destructive force that we will have a difficult time controlling and do and say things that we will only regret later, I mean only regret later no other option but to regret it.

Loss of Self-Respect Leads to Pride - (5353)

When we lose our self-resprect pride grows in its place.


Why because it compensates for the loss of self-respect which is an essential part of the real self-esteem which is another word for the love that the essence holds for itself and the Divine Being that it is in.


When we lose the respect for ourselves we need to be raised up because we can't do it to ourselves inside of ourselves anymore, and so we do it outside using pride to diminish others and compete to bring others down so that we are on the 'up' side, on the 'more' side on the 'plus' side.


We do this with so many things that we don't even realise we are doing it. Whenever there is some rivalry you will find this element prsent.

The Loss of Self-Respect - (4212)

What happens to us when we lose our self-respect? That is the respect we hold for ourselves. 


We may think nothing happens at all, but that's not quite true. I was practicing just now and the following points just jumped out at me.


When we lose self-respect we lose respect for others. Our capacity to respect others in fact becomes small…


It becomes difficult for us to see anyone with respectful eyes. Everyone has to be seen below or equal. This is because it is profoundly painful to have lost the respect for ourselves and seeing others above us due to their moral and ethical behaviour which naturally command respect, reminds us of our loss of self-respect and we don't want to feel that painful humiliation. We like to feel that everyone is just as corrupt and flawed as us. But not everyone is!


This is of course an unfair situation, as others deserve our respect and we can't give them respect because we lost our self-respect all because we did things that made us to lose it, which others had nothing to do with.


We become very judgemental of others and especially ourselves. Because to have lost our self-respect we went against our better judgement and acted this and that way. We broke and disobeyed our inner discernment or judgement and so we judge others and ourselves to try and get it back hurting others and ourselves.


We are needy, insecure, dependent and this impacts heavily on our relationships. We bring these needs constantly into our relationships. Because we lost our self-respect we need some kind of support or comfort or attention or presence from others to substitute that loss. 


We don't like to see anything as right or wrong. Nothing is right or wrong we say. We develop an aversion to judgement, we become very sensitive to be judged because it was precisely there where we lost our self-respect because we did things that we knew deep down inside of ourselves was not right. Of course the first few times it was not right for us but then it became 'right'. 


We lose our self-respect by doing silly things, abusing ourselves, harming others most unnecessarily, even misuse of sexuality leads to a loss of self-respect, for example all these teenagers having sex here and there think that they are great and it is great, but its not really, they are losing unknown to themselves bit by bit their self-respect and when they enter a relationship later on, that really means something to them, they will feel their neediness, and all kinds of other inadequacies and needs that come from having lost their self-respect and this will harm that relationship that is meaningful to them.


Everything has its price. Losing any value of our essence costs us dearly. Whatever you do don’t lose your values and don’t allow others to lose theirs.

An "I" Comes Back - (4211)

It seems that some "I's" really do go away when certain circumstances change in our life. 


Some go away for a good while then come back and some come back fairly quickly and some don't come back. 


Like when we start a new job, laziness goes away but may come back when we settle into the new job.


Anyway it seems that in general the big egos may go away but they will come back. This is something to keep in the back of our mind...


When they come back their return is interesting. Remember the ego is under the Law of Return, that is what it does best - return!


It's important to never forget that when an ego comes back and out it is for us to work on it and do away with it. That's the bottom line.


When an ego comes back we usually see it in our dreams first. That's a notification and time for us to get working!


There is usually some incident or event that triggers it or brings it up. Then impressions follow that further activate it. Then if we feed it, guess what? It's back!


So here's the key for us. If it has come back just recently - cut the impressions and don't feed it. If it is coming back act ahead of time and don't allow any events or incidents or impressions to come your way or enter your psyche.


Doing this will give you space between you and it and your work on it will be more effective! Because you have separation!

Karma NO Duality but Tests YES Duality - (4210)

When we are under karma we don't have a choice we are usually locked into a difficult situation and often we suffer unavoidably.


But when under tests duality is so visibly present.


It has to be this way, because a test is always a choice between, right and wrong, the path and not, the work and not, the defect and virtue, light and dark, triumph or fail, move ahead or back etc. 


So if you see this situation of duality and two choices you are under a test or tests! Choose the work, the path!


Chosing the work and the path may mean at times chosing one side then choosing the other side it just depends what the sides are. This applies for the more subtle tests. But of course there are tests that one side can never be chosen.

If not Self-Remembering What Else? - (4209)

In front of heavy impressions or in difficult unpleasant circumstances self-remembering is the biggest help. Right?


Say we don't believe this, then what else will help us? The ways of the ego right: arguing, getting angry, fighting, crying, complaining. protesting, tantrums, getting sick, etc. If not self-remembering there's only the ego - what else? Nothing, I don't find anything else. Maybe magical formulas and prayers but what in us will be operating that magic?


But we don't want the ego anymore or its ways - so what else can help? We are only left with self-remembering and our Being right! Conclusion: that is our biggest help!

Remember the Sun - (4208)

A while ago I was praying to the Sun for lots of help to arrange and organise things. 


Well the Sun came through.


He really helped and helps. He is a formidable power on the Earth as we can only imagine He should be.


I really ahve faith in the power of the Sun and that He will help now and in the future.


Just imagine how from up there He has seen all that has gone on the Earth since the begining and knows all the remedies and the best way of things as well as the dangers and pitfalls of all human and spiritual activity and endevour.

Things to Remember - (4207)

👀When under karma we can not be passive. Work and work!


👀Even when remembering we have forgotten the work, we are working.


👀The 'for few' doesn't exist as such. A special elite doesn't exist. What really exists is that the path is open to all who wish to surrender themselves to its principles.


👀God does not have any preferred children only those who prefer God.


👀No one is coming to save us! But ourselves!

A Bit More of a Conscious Time - (4204)

Usual way is to put time - large gaps of time between difficult events. Knowing there's a good space of time between cumbersome events and that to us feels relaxing. When time is short anxiety and restlessness rises.


One day we can come to glimpse the understanding that being more conscious and feeling more authentically happy is not in using time this way. But being happy in the moment and using time differently.


Using time differently: prepare with inner work for the event or circumstance we may think is difficult or uncomfortable.


For a more conscious state with a more whole comprehension of our life's moments I find bringing the three states of time: past, present and future into the consideration while in the moment. The past will tell us why we are like this and what we do or decide in the moment will tell us the future.


Live the moment. I find this to be a refuge, a saving grace, a way of being free from the past that bothers us. What I find helps is to try and understand the moment is our life, and it is not the past, nor the future, it is what life (our Being and the Law) is offering us. All the 'should's' and 'could be's' and 'what if's' are not of the moment, the moment is what is being offered or presented to us to live. Best is to be at peace with that and accept it embrace it, try not to be at war with it.

Feeling Washed Out and Empty - (4206)

Why? Too much life! Too little work! 


Too little introspection, prayer, comprehension, transmutation, mystical death, conscious moments...


Feed the soul and it gets stronger, feed life and the soul gets weak and then we feel empty, washed out, uninspired, sad, insipid...

Weaknesses, Adversity and Rather Be a Cat - (4205)

Weaknesses so many people have. Many weaknesses we have. We can't deny that if we be honest with ourselves. 


It is very positive to know our weaknesses. To accept them and work to comprehend them is even better. 


It is helpful to know what a weakness is. I have heard that it is really a strength misapplied. I repeat a strength misapplied. When we reflect on this we see that there is truth to it.


So to correct the weakness we need to take that strength and put it into the right time and space and work to develop the right quality where our weakness currently is. 


Many times we will find that the time and space for that strength/weakness was years ago and not now, and now it is time for something new... Sometimes we just need to move that weakness to other moments where it is a strength... 


We need adversity to grow! Only our values come to work in adversity. Life is full of adversity and to grow what matters the most is that we can manage to get the strength anyhow we can to face the challenges that adversity brings to our life.


In times of adversity to want to be a cat where everything is taken care no problems or worries is a backward growth. Because a part of ourselves remembers involution and how simple, worry free and easy life is sliding backwards. But the consciousness also knows that the conscious human state is mainly won by overcoming problem after problem.

Time Goes Quickly - Calculations and Reflections - (4203)

Time goes quickly... How old are you? Answer: x years old. How many years do you have left?Answer: Thirty or forty years. How many lives do you have left? A couple. Once again time goes quickly...


To get your realisation - that's the yearning - well lets look at what is in front of us...


To go through what you must, and pay what you owe while keeping loyal to the work is a key I think any person sincere about their spiritual yearnings of self-realisation can not ignore. 


To enter a lion’s den with all the implicit dangers and keep loyal to the work, dying psychologically where you can, transmuting as much as you can and giving spiritually and teaching others as much as you can. Will allow us a very good way to pay what is owed.


At the very least sincere work will help pay for a favourable setup in the next life.


To go through life like this is not bad, it is ony for a short time. May the magnetic cemtre in the essence take us back to the work where this time it will be much more favourable.


Once what is owed begins to be paid for, the foundation of the debt starts to be revealed making the causes visible to be worked on and later transformed and then many things can change even our destiny...

Pray Instead of Thinking Negatively - (4202)

I'm finding this helpful: when worrying, feeling uncertain or upset about anything or not knowing how to solve a problem or not knowing what's the best thing to do in a certain circumstance - pray.


To pray instead of begining to think negatively is so much more helpful and productive. The real result is that we feel so so much better.


When praying we can ask for help to find a way to a solution, or the strength and consciousness to carry out the many fixes, improvements and solutions we already know about but are trying to ignore.


It is really a very good habit to form.

Talking Ego has it's Day - (4200)

Everything has its use for a while.


The talking egos - of which there are a few, have their time fo use and at a later time or level of development or inner urgency they are a hiunderance.


To talk and talk about things and not 'do' is no good. These egos assist in helping us to study and learn and prepare documents and talks but once there is enough learning they need to give way to doing and being.




Even if we don't talk much with our mouth we talk much more in our mind. Of course this does not allow our consciousness the chance to be active. 


We need our consciousness to be more and mpore active. Just one of the many things that has to be cleared away for our consciousness to be more present in us.

At the moment I don't know of any other way, but to make the constant effort of remembering the consciousness as much as I can during the day and at night.


Trying and trying...


When remembering the consciousness making an conscious effort to activate it. Knowing that it is active when the mind is quiet and the personality is passive. Practicing and praticing that. 




No where near perfect and not ever for long enough... I notice though the effort and the doing of it is 'more' than being asleep and that 'more' makes a big difference to our work and our internal states.


Practice is an action that becomes a way of being. Trying hard to understand adn live this. Well we are all fighting to do this...
