Decisions With and Without Karmic Programming - (4954)

Choice by Karmic Programming

When we are karmically programmed we feel strongly compelled and drawn to follow a certain decision. Even when there is a part of us that knows that there are other options which may be better...

When we take the side of what we are irresistibly compelled to, we feel convinced that we are the one making that decision with full freedom of choice.

We only really know that we decided based upon karmic programming until much after the decision has been taken.

It is usually upon reflection of the series of cause and effect that we come to know that it was programmed to be that way, and we just had to take that decision.

The other way we know that we were karmically programmed is when because of that decision we end up suffering. The clue is that we never made that decision to suffer yet precisely because of that decision we fell into a very karmic spate of difficult circumstances with all its sufferings.

Being karmically programmed to make a decision is in some ways easier. As the decision was already made for us and the Divine Law gives us the force to make it, follow through with it and suffer it.

Choice Free of Karmic Programming

A free decision - is one without karmic programming, where there is no impelling force to push us towards a particular choice. What is present is a sense of blankness or neutrality which automatically makes a person to look to find the best possible solution or choice.

The consciousness is neutral is happy in so many directions - which at first makes it confusing.

What is present instead of the karmically programmed mysterious impelling force, is the consciousness and various other factors such as: reference points (work, path and Being), esoteric principles and in general all that which must be taken into account while making a decision, such as commitments, other people, finance, current state of affairs in society etc.

Because there is no karma pushing a person either way, the consciousness must decide and opt for the most intelligent option.

There is only one thing that weighs down on a soul's freedom of choice. And that is responsibility. With such choices, it is the consciousness that must accept with responsibility the consequences of a decision taken wrongly.

We have been taught that with consciousness comes greater responsibility and therefore a greater intensity of consequences.

The Divine Law does not administer karma upon any "I" within us. The Divine Law administers karma upon the essence and the Inner Being, because it is the essence and the Inner Being that is the responsible one in all occasions.

Even if an "I" within us makes a wrong decision the whole of us, especially our essence, suffers the consequences. There is no escape for the essence when responsibility is relinquished.

Decisions without programming take a longer time to arrive at because there are much more real and viable possibilities to work through.

Under karmic programming there is little to no responsibility because one is not choosing, one's own karma has already chosen and one only partially knows what one is doing, because karma blinds our peripheral vision...

In the cases where there is no karmic programming the Inner Being will be with us either way...

Don't subject oneself to pressure and in some cases the will of the Inner Being may be overlooked once, twice, several times, however if one gives oneself time the will of the Inner of the Being, that which has depth of heart in us, will surface again and again in many subtle ways.

So speaks the voice of silence within our interior silence...

Attention with Mind, Attention with Essence - (5197)

These two attentions are different. Attention with the mind tires the brain. and reduces the flow of life into steps, where it is inevitable that the narration of the mind begins to take over. With the awareness of steps comes a certain tediousness and the feeling of the flow of life leaving us behind. With the attention of mind very little of what's behind events comes to us... Attention with the essence brings the power of presence, in other words brings a certain depth and continuity of flow  Attention with the essence doesn't tire or strain and opens doorways into perceiving what is behind events and the thoughts and feelings that appear within us. It allows us also to flow with the flow of life, which is a pleasant feeling. Conclusion, make the essence bring attention to outer and inner life. End (5197).

The Sacred Substance Askokin - (962)

Introduction In simple terms, the sacred Askokin substance is the result of the mercury and the sulphur. It is the transmuted energy that crystallises to form the internal bodies (astral, mental and causal). In other words, it is the transmutation of our sexual energies. The Abrustdonis’ and ‘Helkdonis that Gurdjieff mentions in the excerpt below, taken from “Belzeebub’s Tales to His Grandson” are none other than the elements of mercury and the sulphur so spoken about in Alchemy. Excerpt on the Sacred Substance Askokin “I first learned that the destiny of beings arising on this planet of yours is chiefly to elaborate—by means of the process of their existence—the vibrations required by Nature for the maintenance of those former parts of the planet now called Moon and Anulios, when, do you remember, I became worthy personally to converse for the second time with His Conformity the then still Angel, but now Archan...

Wisdom from the Movie “Kingdom of Heaven” - (2168)

Introduction There are some movies that leave you with some pieces of advice that at point or another in your life or in the lives of others prove useful. This movie: “Kingdom of Heaven” was terrible to watch (too many battle scenes and people dying) but offered some very useful messages. In this post, I have presented a few, that have come in handy at point or another. Just to give you a bit of context, the movie is about the crusades, where the French and English were trying to defend the “Holy City” – Jerusalem from Islamic occupation. The topic of religion and God is a constant theme in the movie. It is very violent though, matching it frankly, quite awful to watch. Your Soul is in Your Keeping Alone An interesting dialogue between the French appointed king of Jerusalem and French Knight, the protagonist of the movie. Note, the king wears that metal mask because he has leprosy. King Baldwin I...
