Principle of Unity Class Notes - (4974)

Introduction

The following notes were taken during a class given by m.m.m.

Notes

The Being finds Its ultimate reality in the principle of unity.

Ascending we unify and in falling we disperse and become multiple.

Integration and unity is a Christic principle.

Every self-realised Monad is a coherent, integrated and unified structure.

When a Monad passes well beyond the possibility of falling, that Monad can create a path or a system of teachings and practices to traverse the way back from creation to the Absolute.

The Christic force within us is in charge of sacrifice and service. When the Intimate comes close to us it is often to inspire us to sacrifice and service.

Often service and sacrifice means some kind of pain and suffering.

We have to learn to not associate our Intimate Christ with pain and suffering.

The Third Logos - the Holy Ghost polarises itself into masculine and feminine - that is into the two sides of sexuality.

The result of the union of the two unfoldings of the Third Logos is Kether.

The Third Logos has a representation in AIN, the second Logos in AIN SOPH and Kether in the AIN SOPH AUR.

Why does Kether have a representation in AIN SOPH AUR? Because the AIN SOPH AUR is the closest to Kether, who is already present in creation.

The liberated will can create new circumstances. The condition to use our liberated will that way is to be awakened. When we do not have liberated will and we are not awakened, we need to ask the Masters to create new circumstances for us.

New circumstances or changes in circumstances are created when there is enough merit and value on our part and the Divine Law agrees to it.

A sleeping human being without liberated will, can only create new circumstances when the Divine Law uses that human being as a karmic instrument.

To interfere with a person's free will is to interfere in the relationship that exists between the essence and its Inner Being. To interfere and harm that relationship is to attempt against the sacred, because indeed that relationship is something sacred. Such interference accrues definite karma.

The Being can not really trust until we become an esoteric entity, not a human one. Because an esoteric entity can act on behalf of the Being. A human entity simply forgets the Inner Being and attends to human interests alone.

We need to start by becomming a psychological entity where we then acquire responsibility and then truly we can guide others.

When we become a psychological entity - that is when we are integrating our psychology into a unity, we come very close to the causal world within ourselves. We can also then be trusted by the Masters.

When we die in ourselves we become a hope. The most wonderful thing that we can do is to give hope to others. Do all the good that we can do.

Humility is very important. It is balance and unity within the person. The arrogant person lacks balance and unity within themselves and also outside of themselves.

Humility is to make other people the centre of gravity.

The person who teaches can sacrifice by making others the main interest in their life. This is "to sacrifice our personal and egotisitcal will".

When a person who fights and fights to achieve and do their will is a person contrary to the principles of Gnosis and the Being. Because Gnosis teaches that the Being in us is the one whom decides, it is not our personal and egotistical will that decides.

The will that we need is the will to die within ourselves. Not the will to carry out our personal whims.

One of the key features and perhaps the first feature of awakening is the sacrifice of one's personal will.

To sacrifice one's personal will is the first condition to unify oneself within the Being.

Make decisions when we are conscious of them and process them in accordance with the parameters of the Being.

When we finish the Third Mountain when we have to obey more and we lose our will almost completely. We are in fact even less free than ever.

When we see a person who trusts the Being more than themselves we have found a person whom we can trust and who is one that earns the respect of others in esotericism.

The awakened ones do not plan, they wait for the Being to move and indicate within themselves when and how to move.

When we are starting the path we do not have a destiny yet but after years of work we create a line of destiny. We have to in this case when we are starting, be passive and allow our Inner Being to create our destiny. We must be passive and follow the flow of life and the indications of the Being will come through the flow of life.

Humility is to put our Being first. With humility we can allow our Divine Being to create our destiny and forge our path ahead for us.

With humility and a passive personality we can serve the Being in us. We can strengthen the presence of our Being in us by being passive and waiting and allowing the Being to lead us. We can never strengthen the Being in us if we are always taking action without the Being.

If we destroy our causal world with egotistical will we do not leave much will for Him to work with us.

The Intimate Christ in us is causal. We have to surrender our will to Him and He will take control. Give it over to Him and do His will by being humble, working in the death of our defects and waiting for His indications.

We need humility in the work. We need to surrender to the Christic presence in us. We are always rebellious and we need to redeem ourselves.

The Christ is the intercessor, the mediator in sacrifice and service when we truly ask for help to eliminate an ego He will come to help us and redeem us from the causal world from within ourselves.

We go up with the Christ to serve and we go down to sacrifice. We ask the Intimate Christ to help us to honour the Being ascending and to die in our defects for the Being by descending to work in the abyss.

He is always with us! Up or down when we have will! When we are willing.

Humility is to wait for the Being with consciousness and with joy.

It is not our path but the path of our Monad. We are not the main fearture He is. We could die and then He activiates another vehicle he has somewhere else.

End (4974).

Attention with Mind, Attention with Essence - (5197)

These two attentions are different. Attention with the mind tires the brain. and reduces the flow of life into steps, where it is inevitable that the narration of the mind begins to take over. With the awareness of steps comes a certain tediousness and the feeling of the flow of life leaving us behind. With the attention of mind very little of what's behind events comes to us... Attention with the essence brings the power of presence, in other words brings a certain depth and continuity of flow  Attention with the essence doesn't tire or strain and opens doorways into perceiving what is behind events and the thoughts and feelings that appear within us. It allows us also to flow with the flow of life, which is a pleasant feeling. Conclusion, make the essence bring attention to outer and inner life. End (5197).

The Sacred Substance Askokin - (962)

Introduction In simple terms, the sacred Askokin substance is the result of the mercury and the sulphur. It is the transmuted energy that crystallises to form the internal bodies (astral, mental and causal). In other words, it is the transmutation of our sexual energies. The Abrustdonis’ and ‘Helkdonis that Gurdjieff mentions in the excerpt below, taken from “Belzeebub’s Tales to His Grandson” are none other than the elements of mercury and the sulphur so spoken about in Alchemy. Excerpt on the Sacred Substance Askokin “I first learned that the destiny of beings arising on this planet of yours is chiefly to elaborate—by means of the process of their existence—the vibrations required by Nature for the maintenance of those former parts of the planet now called Moon and Anulios, when, do you remember, I became worthy personally to converse for the second time with His Conformity the then still Angel, but now Archan...

Wisdom from the Movie “Kingdom of Heaven” - (2168)

Introduction There are some movies that leave you with some pieces of advice that at point or another in your life or in the lives of others prove useful. This movie: “Kingdom of Heaven” was terrible to watch (too many battle scenes and people dying) but offered some very useful messages. In this post, I have presented a few, that have come in handy at point or another. Just to give you a bit of context, the movie is about the crusades, where the French and English were trying to defend the “Holy City” – Jerusalem from Islamic occupation. The topic of religion and God is a constant theme in the movie. It is very violent though, matching it frankly, quite awful to watch. Your Soul is in Your Keeping Alone An interesting dialogue between the French appointed king of Jerusalem and French Knight, the protagonist of the movie. Note, the king wears that metal mask because he has leprosy. King Baldwin I...
