Not Interested in Pain but in Comprehension - (1903)

Not Interested in Feeling Pain

The person working on him or herself will one day find oneself more interested in comprehending than anything else, and this includes forging pain for comprehension.

Deeply Comprehending

Who wants to feel pain? You get tired of feeling the offence and insult from your own egos and you want more to comprehend why those egos produce that pain. And you want to comprehend why the other person said that or did that.

Your own nature that is!

Ego is Not Personal

One thing that one learns is that the ego in ourselves and in others is not personal to anyone. If bothered enough the ego will rebel against anyone.

Even when we rebel against others it is not the other person that we are rebelling against the way we are taking things or perceiving or interpreting the impressions from the person.

End (1903).
