Why Don't We See the Defects in Ourselves but we See them in Others - (5702)
This post is a supplement to the "Hidden Side of the Psychological Moon" lecture. We see the egos of others so clearly and become bothered by them, because we have the same ego, and we are very identified with it. When we are very identified with an ego we have no separation, and so we can't see it in ourselves, simply because we are it. When we are identified with an ego in ourselves, it is tightly glued to us, and because of the fact that there is separation between us and others, it is so easy to see it in others. The separation bewtween you and me is always easy to perceive. Becasue the ego is an egoic consciousness, when we see it in others, and it feels threatened because it likes to be the only one. Each ego likes to be the boss inside of us, dethroning other egos inside of us and it like to do that outside of us as well.
