Notes on the Task of Not Judging - (5712)

A terrific remedy to judgment is to apply comprehension instead of judging. When another person bothers us, try to understand them instead of falling into commentary about them.

Understanding someone brings a new and higher dimension into our mind and consciousness.

This new dimension allows us a new way of relating. It also produces a transformation that is lighter and happier. Becasue there is more consciousness.

We judge because we want something perfect while being imperfect.

Accepting our own imperfections allows us to accept the imperfections in others.

There is perfection only the high and deep inner reaches of our own Being.

When accept imperfection we judge less and forgive more.

Judging something does not make it better or transform it from imperfect to perfect.

We judge mostly due to pride.

To judge gives a false sensation of power or authority and being right.

"To be right is a poor man's version of self-worth". It is the ego's version of self-worth.

We judge with anger when our pride is hurt.

Judging can annoy and hurt others. Ill-will within us knows this.

Judging allows us the opportunity to look inside ourselves and see if we are the same.

If we are the same as whom we judge we don't see this because we are deeply identified with the same defect.

Judging opens the door within us for inumberable negative processes to unfold.

Not judging allows inner peace and keeps our level of Being stable.

Not judging allows us to like people...

We judge so much without knowing it.

We judge people telling them not to judge.

There are also certain areas in which we judge people more. It could be their appearance, their intelligence, their lifestyle, the manner or way of speaking etc.

Knowing this shows us our inverse values. That is, the values we consider important to us yet we lack those values.

End (5712).
