Introduction
I have asked myself so many times what really are the Alchemical
Waters? I have been thinking a lot about that lately and here is a relatively more
complete understanding of what they are. I don’t want to say that the following
explanation is the best or the most correct but according to what I have understood
in the past the following is a more complete, coherent and clearer picture.
More than the Physical
What are these waters really truly in depth, what are they?
They can not only be the sexual energy they must be representing more than
that. We know that the waters change colours but the sexual energy physically
doesn’t change colour, even when a person has the waters red the sexual energy
has its natural colour. So then the waters must represent something more than
just the physical.
The Psychological and Esoteric Dimension
In a previous post we established that the waters in alchemy
are the sexual energy but with another dimension added to it. As with
everything there are three basic dimensions to everything. There is the
physical, psychological and the esoteric. So to then the waters have a
physical, psychological and esoteric part or dimension to them. The physical
part is the sexual energy, however when it comes to the colours of the waters the
physical part is not really the important part, it is more the psychological
and esoteric parts or dimensions that are important.
Just something on the side “FILIUS NOSTER” means the
philosopher’s child or the child of wisdom. This I think means that the work of
the transmutation of the Alchemical waters in the Alchemy, the union of the sun
and the moon, is the result of wisdom or consciousness and has to produce
wisdom and consciousness, which is Hermes the one who walks on the waters as one
who is not drowned by the waters.
Full Picture
The full picture of the waters is really how we relate to
our sexual energy and therefore how we use our sexual energy and how that use affects
our sexual energy.
The waters take on different colours or states based
entirely on how we relate to our sexual energy and how or what we use our
sexual energy for. The quality of our inner relationship to the sexual energy
essentially determines everything.
Conclusion
So in effect the waters are much to do with a state of consciousness
related to the sexual energy. So then this really refers to sexuality. The
waters then a representation of our relationship with our sexual energy, the
waters are our sexuality and the colours that the waters take on show the
degree of awareness that we have of the sexual energy. We could also say that
the waters presented in Alchemy represent the states of awareness related to
sexuality. That is why there are many colours of the waters, because there are
many states of awareness or degrees of awareness of sexuality and the sexual
energy.
Good Place to Introduce a Slight Deviation to the Theme
This may be a good place to take a slight deviation to
inquire and ask the question: what really is sexuality? The next post is about
looking at what sexuality is.
