Better than Ceiling Staring - (2991)

To wake up in the morning and promptly get out of bed is much better for a person in all the senses than to just stay in bed looking at the ceiling and thinking.

You just don't feel any better as the minute hand moves, your mind does become any clearer, your problems are no closer to being resolved or solved, the tasks of the day await, the help that our Divine Mother can give us slips away as we our consciousness gets duller and duller the more we think.

When we do get up promptly and do something, we feel so much better and then we realise that the feeling of being comforted, being protected, solving and sorting out stuff etc. when we are lying in bed looking at the ceiling is really a false feeling - a good old trick of our egos.

It feels a little uncomfortable to get up but what we can do about that, it is nature, everything good has price or requires some effort. The discomfort quickly passes though. Especially the more one is accustomed to do it!

People who get depressed for a while, just stay in bed for large parts of the day. Doing that does not really help matters. Because the ego behind it all stays in its belief that in bed we are protected and are sorting things out in our interior. What we really need to do is to slowly and gently convince that ego or part of our subconscious that by getting up and by saying 'hi' to the day that the day is not going to harm us, we are still alive, and that slowly nicely we can sort things out by being in the day and not being being in darkness in bed.

The light heals the psyche, the darkness stagnates the psyche's healing.

The best is to get out of bed and practice a few runes, sit back down and concentrate, clear the mind with vigilance, then pray. Charge up forces with prayer and then work in the psychological death.

This strengthens us, clears us and activates us positively for the day.

The best thing that we can do for ourselves is to create a practice routine that in our particular way or nature sets us up well for the day and leads to awaken and die in ourselves.

Even at the very least getting up promptly and making a cup of coffee and staring out the window at the garden is better than staying in bed looking at the ceiling and thinking.

End (2991).
