The sense of importance leads to anger, mostly when some kind of an obstacle is present. Before anger appears, the sense of importance comes from pride.
If you are doing something important, watch out for anger, because if an obstacle appears, anger could also appear.
Constantly question that sense of 'importance'. Sometimes we get it really wrong. What seems important is not and what we don't take as important is really important. |
It is a wise measure to renounce the sense of importance while we are doing things. Like getting to the airport for example. Just concentrate on getting there not worrying about how important it is. We can always say to ourselves if we miss the flight ok, there is a solution, we'll catch the next flight - it is not that important that we lose some control and get all flustered and scold others when there is a solution.
Renouncing that sense of importance really reduces stress.
End (2995).
