Remorse Notes - (3958)

Last night I gave a talk on this topic of remorse. Here are some notes from that talk.

It is a force within us. It is also a stage of the work in the elimination of the ego.

It leads us to elimination. Its basis is a deep comprehension. For there to be remorse there must be consciousness of what has been done.

Some people have a great capacity for remorse and others have a small capacity.

What helps remorse is the comprehension that the ego in question brings pain and difficulty.

Remorse is the result of contrast, when by virtue of our efforts of comprehension or by virtue of a spontaneous grace of inner vision, our essence glimpses the superior parts of its own Being and sees their perfection, their purity, their splendour, their strength and light and feels itself deeply in error, burdened and stained. This produces the tremendous yearning often accompanied by pangs of pain to want to be like those parts.

Real remorse goes to the consciousness to correct the cause of the error - the ego, so to clean those stains and drop those heavy burdens. It is not guilt or self-compassion or emotionalism which ends up in long periods of crying.

Real remorse happily pays the karma, even actively seeks it out to pay it and is merciless on the ego which was the cause.

Elimination is the process of removing what has been discarded by us. We discard what no longer has any use. Like a banana peel. We've eaten the banana and we have no use for the peel. When the ego is like a banana peel it is ready to be eliminated

Remorse takes us to make the ego a banana peel. Remorse comprehends the damage the ego does and engages our essence to solve the equation the ego has been used to solve for hundreds of years.

Remorse is the emotional force that delivers the ego to the Divine Mother for elimination.

We often don't use remorse. Though we really must so to be able to have it eliminated and to deepen our resolution, our will against the ego and to deepen our comprehension of it also.

Self-Remembering Practical Notes - (3959)

At the base of all awakening attempts is self-remembering.

I think we can't leave out self-remembering when trying to wake up.

Self-remembering is not easy to keep going on two fronts. One front is the remembering to be it and the other front is keeping it from becoming mechanical.

Self-remembering as the term suggests is to remember something, essentially to remember the experience of being the consciousness or the essence. This act of remembering converts the memory into being the essence the consciousness once again.

We can also say that self-remembering is being the consciousness or essence again.

There are so many ways to do this. Just one way after a while turns mechanical so we need to vary our methods.

Each method is a different angle at arriving at the same results.

The main things is that we just need to try and try and keep at it until something gels and works for us. In trying we can so much more than we care to realise.

In subsequent posts I am going to post as many different methods as I can.

End (3959).

Hey we Have to be in Self-Remembering - (3957)

A few different ways to be in self-remembering, well many ways.

Each to their own way.

One common denominator is that the mind is not thinking.

With self-remembering or remembering the Being we can reach our centre, touch our consciousness, see clearly outside the ego, mind and personality and make the consciousness brighter.

A nano-particle bit more awake, and it all accumulates, nano particle by nano particle.

Forget Comparison - (3956)

We know this - "don't compare yourself to anyone". But we forget.

This is us reminding ourselves right now: "don't compare your path to that of anyone else", "don't compare your work to that of anyone else", "don't compare your circumstances to that of anyone else", "don't compare your karma/dharma to that of anyone else", "don't compare your abilities to that of anyone else" etc.

When we compare we become miserable.

When we compare we stop living our life, we stop fully living our reality. We become a bit cut off from it.

When we compare we create a new point of view which we adopt as our point of view. But this new point of view is based on another person (usually more advanced, fortunate, smarter etc.), which happens to be false for us.

This new point of view is really a point of view that is about saying to ourselves all the time 'we should', 'we should be like this' and it never really can be because it is not us. We go by a different ‘rumba”.

We stop experiencing ourselves directly, we experience things through this false point of view which diverts and collides things for us making us miserable.

In the end the lesson is don't compare and be happy and work directly with your reality as you are and as it is. This is how we can really change and help ourselves.

End (3956).

Not Another Argument - (3955)

This post is just a very impartial look at arguments. Some reflections that's all.

Are they a bad thing or a good thing? It mostly depends on how we see the results. There are some that really damage a relationship. Then there are some that improve the relationship. There are some that are unnecessary and some that just had to be, and couldn’t be avoided and then there are some that really could have been avoided. Some that really hurt and some that irritate and some that don't hurt.

They usually have a good result when the truth comes out, the truth about one’s position, the truth about 'why' or the truth about 'what' or the truth about 'how' etc.

There are some that you just have to go through and weather the storm, take the heat so that the peace returns.

What to do? Speak, not speak, be balanced - see both sides, or hold firm, say whatever or state the facts only, be honest or be diplomatic, take control or listen or both. Take charge or stay passive or alternate intelligently.

Arguments result from two different mental positions and obviously pride and anger always are present in some degree or another.

Frequency is interesting. Over a particular issue they can be very frequent until the issue is resolved, they can be a now and then thing, or a very seldom thing. This is all quite normal. I think when it is everyday and heated, something's wrong and something's going to give sooner or later.

Most of the time they are over a third party, a child, a cat, a friend, a family member, the house, the bills etc. Not all that often are they about a direct personal issue between two people. But of course they can be.

They can be used as a tool by the ego to achieve some goal.

They are a good evaluation for our psychological work. In an argument we can see if our pride, anger, self-love, self-importance is really dying or not.

We may be keeping calm in the discussion until a certain impression is received and then we lose it This is the point of evaluation. There is always one of these points. Either very evident or subtle but there is always one. It is very interesting to be on the look out for that and be alert to get hold of oneself before that point arises.

After an argument we often are burdened and feel heavy because the ego manifested. We need to clean ourselves out and apologise to get our inner peace back. Sometimes we were in control and maintained our good will and we didn't let any ego out in mind, word and action, then we are at peace.

Good and Evil Intermingling - (3953)

Good and evil intermingle. Making it hard at times to separate them. So much of us human beings are a mixture of good and evil. Everywhere in life it seems there is that mixture, both the good and the bad all mixed into one.

How to separate them. Well it is not that easy at times and takes work. Basically it is about knowing the point where one ends and the other begins.

Using the knowledge of this point we can keep them separate.

Evil adheres to good to draw strength from it, to become more evil and more rebellious against good. Then good sticks to evil to feed on it, to make itself stronger to defend itself from evil.

Evil rebels against good and good gets horrified with evil and fortifies itself in defense against evil.

It is the Law that good has the right to do this with evil - that is to feed on it. Just like a plant feeds on the nutrients in the soil but the soil does not feed off the plant. The laws of creation have not given the soil this right.

The Laws of creation are about choosing that the good is made to flourish and evil is transformed into good. Not the opposite. That is just how things are set up in creation.

Sun's Key to Love - (3952)

Once again it is difficult to talk about love because at some point: now, sooner or later or later on, someone, somewhere is going to find that you are a hypocrite - that is, one is all talk and no real substance.

I think the Sun has something interesting to say about love. Here goes…

The sun provides us with light, warmth and life among so many other things.

No doubt these three things just mentioned are a part of love. So the Sun sends His planets which includes us His love. The Sun clearly loves the most. No one can love more than the Sun. That’s clear!

The Sun draws love from deep inside Himself, from His spiritual part within the Ain Soph Aur – the Sacred Absolute Sun and emanates it out into the Solar System. He has love and gives love and in giving He receives. He receives from the planets. But if he didn’t give freely in the first place He would not receive anything. That is His Law.

People, us, are lacking – meaning we are cold. We are all cold. If we are cold we lack warmth. When we are warm we don’t lack anything do we?

When we are cold we put clothes on, but being warm we take them off, in other words allowing ourselves to be as we are, expressing our truth. The warmth or love we have allows for our truth.

By clothes I mean symbolically - layers of falsehood and protection.

Being cold means we lack love.

We think we are not worthy of being loved, that no one loves us and we can't really love anyone etc.

When we are warm already inside of ourselves we don't need warmth from others - so much, do we? If we  have lots of money we don't need money from others do we? The same thing really.

So we are cold and the solution is to learn a bit from the Sun. To find love inside of ourselves and then give of it. But we must find the love we have inside. If not we can not give anything and therefore receive nothing.

We often, too often, are all abut receiving. Which is so very lunar. There is only friction, difficulty, disagreement, pain, suffering, opposition and conflict waiting for us, in following the way of the moon - the way of only receiving.

The ego is all lunar. We don't think we are like this but we are to a lesser or greater degree. When we are our essence we are solar.

End (3952).

A Talk with Our Sun - (3951)

Our life is linked to our Sun, which is called Ors. If there were no sun there would be no life for us here on Earth.

Our realization is also linked to our Sun.

The solar man is His creation and His harvest. The solar man is the human being with the human soul with the solar bodies, Gnosis says.

Isn’t it true that the closest physical thing we have to God is the Sun.

The Sun has interest in those who are working to become solar human beings, Master Samael says. That is His hidden interest behind creation.

I imagine that the Sun being the centre and governor of the solar system sees and knows everything about His own system.

We are part of His system. We are one of His cells. Can’t we converse with the central sun asking for orientation and guidance for our life and realization?

End (3951).

Fundamentally Behind Many Disagreements - (3950)

Still posting what I didn't get time to say.

The relativity of evil is what is at the basis of many disagreements between people...

One believes a thing to be ok but the other believes it to be bad.

The struggle to understand one another ensues… complicates, heightens and breaks down.

When both agree on what is bad then the disagreement ends.

Exactly the same with love. Often people do not agree on what is love. When the version of love that each person has coincides with the other’s version then there is peace.

When we can not see any good in what we see as evil, we rebel and become totally defiant and disagreeable. All the time – this is totally natural. No human being can go with what they believe is evil or unjust.

What one can learn from this, is that the relativity of evil and the relativity of love will always create differences.

When there are differences it is intelligent to act in such a way to blend the differences into a common understanding – which is the third solution.

Life is about the third solution. The third solution is the one that has more value than the solution presented by the two opposites.

End (3950).

Each Day is a Vessel - (3949)

Each day is a vessel that we can put something into.

We can put work into the day.

The emptier the vessel the better.

We are part of the day. If we prepare ourselves emptying ourselves, we can put something into the day.

Whether it be to work on an ego or to be more aware – more awake, the emptier we are to other things, the more fruitful our day will be.

Kundry from Parsifal Unveiled - (3948)

The character Kundry is very unusual, and has a mysterious role in Wagner's opera: Parsifal.

As master Samael explains, Kundry represents the archetype of the feminine. That mysterious yet extraordinarily powerful force that can raise a man to the heights of realisation or sink him into the abyss of failure.

Kundry in the opera takes on a few different opposing roles, one where she is the temptress that seduced the king of the Holy Grail: King Amfortas giving Klingsor the opportunity to steal the Lance of Longinus and wound his side. She then helps the wounded king searching for balms to heal the wound in his side, then she is again the temptress that tries to seduce Parsifal the young knight who tries to redeem the lost lance. When Parsifal is victorious destroying the castle of Klingsor Kundry changes roles to become a servant of the holy grail and the knights of the order of the holy grail.

These are all aspects of the powerful feminine force that is varied and has many different faces and roles. We can also say that Kundry is the archetype of Eve from Hebrew mythology.

The Divine Mother herself has five different aspects and in fact according to Master Samael there are four different types of woman. Eve-Venus, Venus-Eve, Venus-Uranus and Uranus-Venus.

Eve-Venus is the very instinctive woman, driven to satiate instinctive sexual appetites' or desires. Gurdjieff says that the majority of modern woman have this aspect significantly developed. Men are like this too, even worse but this we well know.

Venus-Eve is the woman who is a good mother, a good and faithful wife and is very responsible in taking care of the home. Venus-Uranus is the woman who works for her self-realisation and Uranus-Venus is the self-realised woman adept.

According to Wagner, Eve-Venus can transform herself into Venus-Uranus and I would also add that Venus-Uranus can fall and turn into Eve-Venus.

In any case man needs woman and woman needs man for the work of the self-realisation.

Good Goes to Evil and Evil to Good - (3947)

The virtue and defect are linked. One can not be seen without the other.

They are both a circle actually, just as the yin-yang symbols depicts.

If we exaggerate the virtue we end up in some kind of unintended 'bad' that could lead us to do the opposite of what we always intended to do.

For example a parent gives and gives in way too much to a child, making the child spoilt and obnoxious. Eventually the parent will get angry with the child and treat the child harshly, which is what the parent in the beginning never wanted to do.

If we diminish a defect we end up automatically without even thinking about it, being closer and closer to the virtue.

For example, if we make efforts to be less and less angry we start becoming calm, serene, quiet etc. all the opposite of anger and closer and closer to the virtue of sweetness, understanding, serenity etc.

Also there is another strange thing. If we exaggerate the defect, taking it to the point of losing control, we eventually, if we don't die or get sick, wind up hitting rock bottom - the point our own system can't handle anymore and we understand that we can't go any deeper but only upwards and out of that labyrinth.

That way is very costly and is unfortunately needed due to karma - we need to suffer that, we need that medicine, because we are also too asleep, our will is too compromised and the only way we can be helped in that condition is through the 'bad'. The good can not help us in that condition only the 'bad' can, so further into the labyrinth we go - with our essence screaming in the background for help, for a force strong enough to really help - most often justice or the will of the Father.

The above is such a common thing in the West, the beautiful loving parents can not help because the ‘good’ without the co-operation of the person in difficulty can not take effect. How many parents have to watch their children spiral downwards, and all that they can do is just 'be there'. All the applications of the good just don't work. That seems to be the best thing that they can do.

The retreat is gone for another year. Today a week ago we were all into our second day.

Tomorrow - back to normal, business as usual, not quite enough time to fully recover from all the efforts of the retreat, but it will have to do.

The next few posts will be a few things that I wanted to speak about but didn't get the time to.

Three Kinds of Love Notes - (3945)

This post like the other ones is a container, holding the notes I plan to use for a talk in the retreat.

Notes

Long Introduction

Love is a fundamental value of the Being in each one of us.

Love is very difficult to define. Values such as trust, patience, tolerance, hope, humility are much easier to define and their definition is much more readily agreed upon.

It is difficult to speak about love because everyone has their concepts of what it is for them. Each concept clashes. It is almost like speaking about what is good and what is evil. No one ever can agree.

It is often these clashes in what is love which cause the greatest conflicts between people.

We can't love others according to how we think love should be, but rather find out how others like to be loved and love them that way and balance it out.

Much evil to another has been done because of love and even the great evils have been done with love and for love.

How many times has great love turned into be a terrible hatred with just as terrible consequences.

None the less as difficult as it is to treat love, it is still a value of our Being, it is a value at the heart, soul and fibre of our Being and at some point along the way, we need to know how to use it, manage it, cultivate it, care for it and expand it.

Mama mia it is hard to talk about love, one is inevitably going to disappoint others and appear sooner or later as a hypocrite.

There are three ways to die in the ego. One is from below, the other from above, and the third is from both above and below.

From below is the direct work on the ego undermining its concepts, beliefs and stopping it, the second way is to cultivate the value opposite to it and the third way is to work directly on the ego while  cultivating the value at the same time.

By studying love, getting it right, knowing what conscious love is we can really help ourselves a lot in the work on the ego. Especially when it comes to self-love, self-importance, pride, lust, jealousy, attachment etc.

Three Loves

Gnostic teachings speak about there being three kinds of love. Sensorial, emotional and conscious.

Each kind of love represents a view, a concept and a mode of love.

Often these loves don't agree and don't understand each other.

The experience of the first two start of nice but sooner or later, often sooner, turn into thorns, and thorns that hurt. The experience of this pain impulses one to look for another love - conscious love.

The painful experience of love burns us out often and closes off to the value of love. Because in truth love is like a fire.

Conscious love is the one that does not hurt. It is the one that allows us to enjoy what we expect from love. Love that frees, the love that enhances, that gives one strength and courage, the one that is constant as steady flame etc.

It is the love that approaches the love that is within the Monads, the love that transcends time. That not even time can destroy, life after life, even after recurrences and karma have been paid the love that is in the Monad for another Monad endures, remains.

Conscious love is law, meaning if we are loving consciously we are not breaking the law and accruing karma. Tricky - each to their own to discover that.

Love is something Divine that descends to us. However, as it moves through the human being it turns and twists and changes suffering many modifications turning out to be something like the nature that human being has.

Sensorial love is the love that processes through the senses. It is a Love trapped in the senses. Sensorial love considers love to be that which pleases the senses or aligns with the thinking of the senses. So sexual pleasure often falls under this kind of love, but is not limited to that.

Sensorial love is a lot about having, comforting the senses, etc. Out of time will write more later on this point.

Sensorial love is always mostly possessive and controlling. It often gets exhausted quite quickly as the seeking of the pleasure of the senses burns up a lot of energy depleting both leaving them empty of much inspiration, magnetism, attraction, magic and mystery that enchants etc. etc.

Emotional love is the one that is about emotional needs. It is the one that feels great emotion and as emotions are subject to coming and going, that great emotional love also goes. Just like the age old story of the man who cries at the funeral of his mother begging death to take him instead of her, and lo and behold death appears and accepts his offer, but he quickly and adamantly reneges.

It is the love that pleases the feeling of being loved, the feeling of being needed, the feeling of being useful, the feeling of being wanted, the feeling of being appreciated and valued, the feeling of  'can't live without" etc. If one can not feel these things to the emotional love there is no love. Conscious love would not agree with that. Often emotion love is dependent on this kind of love and is very demanding for actions from another to make them to feel all of these things.

Conscious love always as a pattern functions to dignify, enhance, support the essence. It may use a method that does not seem very loving but its results will always be positive for the essence.

Broader View of Love

The goal of this talk is to present a broader, more esoteric and more conscious view of love.

Love is a cosmic force, it is everywhere, it holds the whole cosmos together. It is diluted into everything that exists. It is in every atom, every molecule, not just in a human action. It is something that nourishes and enriches life, something that sustains and maintains life in its march.

Love is not just to have another person in your arms. Love is much broader and wider than that. People often look for love in the body of another, not even in the whole body but in small parts, love is much more than that and more profound than that. It is something cosmic that goes straight into the heart of the creator.

It is important for everyone to be able to have found the love that one has within them. Often love comes out of us from a mysterious place, a hidden place that we didn't know about, but it still all came from us.

If we have found love in ourselves we have something to give. Then we can really counteract the ego of self-love. Then more importantly we can love. We can cultivate love. We have to start off with something. Knowing that we actually have love.

So often people are not aware of the love they have, thinking that they don't have it or are not worthy of it. We have to make love flow. That is the key, make it glow and flow in us. Then we have the means to counteract and overcome self-love.

Love is a transforming element. It transforms one's view of everything.

Love should give one courage, strength, happiness, a certain fulfillment and joy. Love for the Being is what survives many of the battles that really hurt in our path and pushes us onward towards the next battle.

The knight the human soul taking courage and strength from his love for the Spiritual soul fights his way through many battles each time striving for victory so as to be closer to her. Deep in our soul is the love for this damsel, this princess which is our consciousness etc.

We can teach ourselves how to love by following the same principles as nourishment. We typically only eat what is good for us right. To start to love we need to do the same. Absorb, take in what is good and enhancing for our essence. Love starts at home and our essence is home. We allow in so many harmful and damaging thoughts and emotions. To love our essence is to choose the best food for it.

Just a note to let you know posting will go on pause for a week starting from tomorrow.

I'll be attending our annual big retreat. This year because of the COVID circumstances it will be local only, which is something new, we have never run a local retreat for such a duration before.

A new experience it will be, maybe to bring some new things to learn about and work on or work with.

Constantly Pampering a Person is Not Conscious Love - (3942)

A bit rough to hear right? Something within us hardens and recoils, not wanting us to hear more about it, right? However, with pain later on we realise that it is true, and we say to ourselves: "just why didn't I know that ten years ago, things would be different now".

Always the goal of conscious love is to enhance the essence, to give a boost to the essence so that it can stand on its own two feet and walk confidently more and more knowingly towards its Monad.

The way this is done always varies and is open to what is needed and most effective given our condition or state of consciousness and capacity of understanding.

To pamper a person is to do a disservice to their essence. They become dependent on that treatment. Some egos really take a lot of force in the background, the pampered person stops working on themselves and only lives for the other person, lives to receive the pampering and defines and validates themselves through the pampering.

They forget their essence and their Monad and they become strongly dependent and very upset and demanding when the level of pampering decreases.

We can't control circumstances, situations, people and things and so suffering is inevitable.

To pamper someone is to feed their ego and the other person doesn't really know the harm that it is going to do to them later on. So we do a disservice to them.

This happens a lot with students, if the instructor does not make them work and gives them the solution to everything all the time they become weak in their essence and sooner or later they have difficulty. It is wiser, more conscious to make students to work and help them in their work when needed to get the answer to their problems and difficulties with the ego.

Good and Evil Notes - (3930)

This is a place holder post. I plan to add content to it as I develop the topic. I'll be delivering a talk on this topic in an upcoming retreat.

Question of Evil

This question often baffles so many people. However, Gnosis explains it rather clearly. I think that it is worth while solving this issue before one's own consciousness.

First of all, very few of us will agree on what is evil. We don't have an absolute sense of what is evil. We just have a relative sense of what is good.

A very good definition of good and evil comes from Master Samael, where he says that good is what is convenient in a given moment and evil is what is inconvenient in a given moment.

The above statement frees the consciousness somewhat as it allows us to place our point of reference in the work, the path and the Being instead of in social norms, personality, sentimental egos etc.

Also what is good is what is in place in a given moment and what is bad is what is out of place in a given moment.

If we have a relative sense of good, what is good to me is evil to another.

When we understand this point we have an extra means at our disposal to refrain from the ego, because what the ego thinks is good will not be seen as good by the other person.

We all don't have an absolute sense of evil. There is no universal sense or agreement of what is evil.

Good and evil come together. If we try to get rid of evil we will also inevitably get rid of good.

In nature good and evil as we know them don't exist. Only evolving and involving processes exist.

Human tragedies don't come from evil itself, as a separate force but really from people's ideas of what is good.

What is evil for you? A particular person? A particular action? Is it something outside of yourself or rather something inside of you? It is more something inside of us that repulses us, that blocks, frustrates and hampers us, something that deprives our freedom and happiness.

It can't be that evil is greater than God or able to challenge God.

If God is God, the almighty, how is it that he created something that He can not bring down.

The origin of evil is shown nicely in the Zohar. Where God gazes upon the waters of life (creation) and on the waters is His reflection which is Him having a dark complexion with an ugly scowl on His face, instead of the look of beauty and reverence He has while gazing down on creation. Evil is the shadow of God projected onto matter.

God transcends both good and evil.

God uses evil, and evil is not a part from the good, and is not a part from God Himself either.

God is the third perspective above both good and evil.

God becomes good or a unity of good when we have transformed evil inside of ourselves. While we have not transformed evil we are still confused and see God as both good and evil.

Only god can annihilate evil. It does not pertain to us to do it. We don't have the means or the capacity to do it.

What is good now changes to evil later and what is evil now will later become good.

We are often not sure what is good for us and what is bad for us. Hence the reason for the faculty of discernment.

If we annihilate evil we will annihilate good also.

People often work for their own good and the overall result ends up being evil. Many wars have turned out this way.

The way to hell they say is paved with good intentions.

The way we transcend evil is by using it for good. that is using it to further our learning, to further polish a virtue and to further our spiritual progress.

We have to educate ourselves about how to transform it. To transform it is not to fall into it and become stuck in it.

We are very weak before evil when we see it as an enemy or as something we are not going to use or transform.

We can only resolve evil with action. The action of using it for good or transforming it.

We have to look to our own body for a living example. Our heart does not throw out the blood contaminated with waste, but rather passes it through the lungs to be oxygenated where it is refreshed and cleaned.

It is easier to do evil in the world only because the world is set up that way. In other societies because of the way they are set up they support the good and evil is not needed or given as much lee way.

The main weapon we have against it, is to use to for good.

We can replace the words: destroy, uproot, eradicate, obliterate with harness, channel, assimilate, sublimate and direct or guide.

We can't compensate evil with good. We can't compensate good with evil either. It is rather the case that evil is compensated with evil.

A bad situation can be a hidden good.

When we don't see the good in evil we just become rebellious, defiant and unaccepting. When we see the good in evil we can start to become accepting and comprehending and cope with the situation and even transform it.

To be continued...

End (3930).

Transmutation and Purity - (3940)

With practical purity we can get the most out of our sexual energy.

We experience its fuller potency as a bridge to higher states of inner spiritual frequency, where there is more consciousness and light.

With purity and transmutation we get light. With less purity and transmutation we get heat and vitality. Without purity in transmutation we get desire, which inevitably brings us close to darkness.

By practical purity I mean a crystal clear mind, transparent imagination and clear focus of mind and heart on the essence or inner Being.

Love and Sexuality - (3939)

Love as an energy has a divine origin and is a divine energy. Sexual energy also has a divine origin and descends to us from high above.

The sexual energy as it moves through the human being takes on what the human being has within. Inevitably the sexual energy descending and moving through the human being loses its divine qualities, and becomes a powerful force at the disposal of the instincts and the accumulated mental forms of instinctually driven pleasure.

Sexuality however, is different to the sexual energy it does not have love in it. It is commonly the instincts that rule it, mostly the impulses to procreate etc. Love has to be infused into it - hence what Gnosis teaches: "sexuality with love" is the way back to the Being in us.

People often look for love through sexuality but that is the wrong order of things. This is because it does not really exist in sexuality but arises from other sources in the human being.

People feel sexuality, that is their sexual attractions and they couple and satiate their attraction experiencing all their pleasures and once that is done, they end up fighting, disagreeing, falling out and disliking each other.

The sexual act can be done purely most certainly, free of animal instincts and lustful thoughts and with love.

You may not believe that sexuality does not have love in it. It is nature's way to keep the race going, animals just mate and leave, sometimes the female kills the male after mating like some praying mantis or spiders do. It is a really selfish act, the men out there go out on the town or jump onto dating sites to get their instincts fulfilled selfishly forgetting about what is good for the other person. Very much the same as the way the animals go about it.

Love has to be put into it and made to rule it. This is where spirituality begins and the intellectual animal starts to become human.

Common Modern Tantra is Grey - (3937)

Nearly all of the tantra that is out there and available to people to learn about in workshops and retreats and things like that is grey.

Grey means people retain the sexual energy but then at other times lose it.

White means to never lose the sexual energy and the energy is transmuted for the purpose of union with God, with the Being

Black means the constant loss of the seminal entity for any reason, whether it be pleasure or magical/esoteric.

Black or white tantra may start out as grey. However, keeping things at grey will turn black, or the results will be the same but less intense. As we know in all areas of life, sitting on the fence leads to 'no-where'.

Of course there are degrees and degrees of grey. There are some tones of grey that approach black and then there are some that approach white.

The tantra that is popular everywhere is grey, in the sense that people decide to transmute the sexual energy and retain it or transmute it and lose it. There isn't consistancy in retaining the energy.

In grey tantra what is constant is the reason to keep it but what is variable are the reasons to lose it. Indicating a lack of definition, seriousness or understanding and knowledge of the Alchemical work.

Grey tantra has the tantric teachings as a base and also a certain wisdom and philosophy which is above the ordinary knowledge of life, sexuality, energy and even the spirit.

A serious seeker can not fully trust their wisdom and philosophy as they do not talk about the dissolution of the "I", and the "I" knows no limits, it infiltrates everything, even the sacred.

The "I's" of lust and fornication basically refine and morph themselves into the world of tantra.

In grey tantra or modern tantra you will not find the initiatic path or the way to the Being.

If one has the teachings clear about the transmutation and the dissolution of the "I" one will detect where their wisdom and philosophy skews into the grey and into the esoteric field that is both unrealistic and over romantic - precisely where many "I's" of desire hide themselves..

Get Intimidated Because of an Unfriendly Environment, what to do? - (3936)

This conundrum often appears. I mean in the sense of what to do, what is the right thing to do...

I have noticed it is particular common to hear people talking about the need for a special environment of good will, of safety, of non-judgment etc. where a person can talk about their problems, their difficulties while feeling totally psychologically safe, in the sense that they won't be ridiculed, judged or reprimanded but rather listened to.

Of course such an environment feels fine, is helpful and is conducive to solving issues. It is also very easy to open up and explain exactly what is the matter, exactly what really troubles one inside. I'm sure this is possible in many kinds of relationships from the intimate type to friends and to family even. Definitely, just joking, it will always be possible when you pay a therapist or someone like that. I'm also sure that in many relationships this is not present as well, commonly with parents it's not.

The thing is what to do when this kind of environment is not present. But one has to move through it.

Well, normally we will freeze, and not be able to open up, we will feel all contracted and go silent and not even be able to catch our thoughts to say anything intelligent. But still the problems have to be solved by talking. But we can't. We just feel scared to speak our truth, which is not a crime and which is not really against anyone, it is what is inside of ourselves. Still the conundrum remains what to do?

Well keeping silent still doesn't solve anything, how about if the person gone silent stands up against the feeling of being frozen, not against anyone but against that inner feeling, and speaks melting the contracting coldness with the warmth of honesty.

One may lack the force or strength of personality and ego to fight but one can always see one's reality and by taking the step of inner courage to accept it, begin to speak normally and allow the strong force of humility (comes from accepting our reality) and truth to work. These forces are often respected and are more powerful than a strong personality and ego. As the ego and personality are often void of the real, they lose force and contradict, and what is not real, always shortly crumbles.

There is no point protesting while in such an unfriendly environment to demand that it be friendly. Well we can always complain and ask for it to change to be friendly but we may not always get our request granted so we still have to do something. If it changes marvelous but if not...

In conclusion such a situation is about courage. Either outer or inner. But really it is more about inner courage to accept one's reality and initiate a few words where the rest follows. If we don't accept our inner reality we can't do anything. To accept our inner reality we need courage.

Conscious Love Notes - (3840)

One of the three types of love Gnosis teaches about. First is sensorial love, second is emotional love and third is conscious love.

Conscious love is the most revered, the most respected and the most difficult.

There exist three types of marriages. Karmic, dharmic and cosmic or in other words: consciousness to consciousness.

The love that is difficult to describe.

The love most often not liked or not seen as love.

Love so elastic and flexible that one can not pin it down to be properly defined.

A love that always seeks the benefit of the essence and the Being in oneself and in others, but goes about it in no fixed way, given over to the urgency and opening presented in the moment.

A love that is most visible in its results. In actions and in facts.

It is a love that often is only recognized and appreciated afterwards. Sometimes years afterwards.

The way to get the result most beneficial for the essence could be painful. Sometimes though it is not. Because a beautiful value of the essence is transmitted and accepted.

Anyway conscious love is not scared to use a way that is not always nice but the results are certain to always be a balm for the essence.

It is concerned with reality.

It is not really about love stories, or about fairy tale journeys and endings, it is not really about romance, poetry, art etc.

It's beauty is in the beauty of the essence, of the soul and of course beyond that going, to the inner Being, the Divine Mother.

It is light and life to the essence but bitterness, disappointment and contradiction to the personality and mind.

When both parties love consciously the pains of the other types of love diminish and the there is freedom.

With conscious love the other is not the supplier of our love, of our joy, of our happiness, of our fulfillment... but what we have within us.

To love consciously one must have a certain inner wealth.

Conscious Love is Law.

Be able to Sit with the Emotions - (3935)

It is better to mindfully fully experience an emotion then ignore it or block it or be overcome by it.

As soon as we mindfully feel all of an emotion, we are straight away beginning to overcome it.

When we mindfully feel it we can start to really see it and understand it.

We want to be consciousness yet these emotions surface and we run away from them and hide or feel pained by them, we are not helping ourselves to be conscious. We can't be conscious that way.

To be sitting quietly waiting in a state of relaxed alertness for what will surface is one way to be conscious. Then to try and try to put our consciousness to work observing them, mindfully feeling them and comprehending them, lessens the identification and releases the consciousness and opens new doors of feeling within us.

When Feeling Demoralised Before a Talk - (3933)

One day if one feels like that - demoralised before having to give a talk, just show up, stand up and give the talk.

Change the topic if you can, but if not deliver the talk in the function as a transmitter of the teachings, and then and when its over, go and fix yourself up.

End (3933).

Get Consciousness to the Top - (3929)

One thing is always true, guaranteed, and that is if we have our consciousness at the top, we can be sure that is always the best for us and others.

Whatever consciousness we have, we have to try and put it at the top above everything else inside of ourselves for it to guide us through and govern our inner processes and resulting actions in the situations we find ourselves in.

We just have to try our best for as long as we can. Clarity will appear, it is always the best resort - our consciousness.

Practical Repentance Notes - (3934)

Repentance is a door. A door to higher states of consciousness and levels of Being and to paying debts owed redeeming the soul.

Our repentance, our remorse is something that opens that door.

That door can always be opened no matter what we have done.

Karma is always what closes the other doors except the door of repentance.

Karma is any block, any obstacle, any imbalance, any pain, any suffering...

Master Samael says that there is more joy in the white lodge when a repentant sinner enters than when 10 000 righteous enter.

To deal with karma the first step is that of repentance.

Before repentance there is recognition and acceptance of responsibility for our karmic debts.

We can't always see where our debts come from, but we can see and feel the effects of the debt. Just like we receive a fine in the mail and we can't remember how we got it, but we still have to pay it.

There is a three step process to pay karmic debts when appealing before the Divine Law.

1. Repentance

2. Negotiation

3. Pardon

Taking responsibility and repenting and beginning to pay with persistence in our facts opens the door to negotiation which when we have paid the debt accords us pardon.

Repentance is of the essence and the heart. The essence recognises at first and together with the heart it repents. This duo of essence and heart is powerful.

Sun Notes - (3931)

This post is just a container post, holding the notes I plan to use in a talk about the Sun I'll be giving at the retreat.

Notes

The words from Master Samael that speak about how the Sun is doing an experiment, wanting to reap a harvest of solar men are the impetus for this talk.

Those words come from a lecture he gave titled the "The Harvest of the Sun".

This talk is an explosion of points, esoteric in nature related to the Sun, hoping to shed light on that one point mentioned above from Master Samael.

The point that Master Samael mentions, implies the Sun is responsible for the creation of: the human race so as to reap a harvest of solar human beings. In a large way that statement also implies that the Sun is the guide of a human being's realisation and the goal of realisation is the solar nature.

The origin of the Earth is in the Sun. Master Samael says that the Earth is a piece of the Sun. All the minerals and elements we have on the Earth come from the Sun and are found in the Sun. If we analyze sun light we will find that it contains spectral lines from most of the metals that we have on Earth.

The Solar Logos is the one who is behind creation. The Sun Master Samael says is the one who has a secret interest in creation. Master Samael says that He the Sun would not create a planet like the Earth just to revolve around itself for the sake of it. There is a special reason why the Sun created the Earth.

Within the Sun is the intelligence and the Laws that authored creation. The raw material for creation came from the Great Mother but the intelligence and Laws and the sustaining laws and intelligences all reside in the Sun.

The ORS solar system is where we live, move and have our Being. Meaning our Being is related to the Sun. As the Sun is the governor, the director of this Solar System, the Being as the director of our microcosm is also aligned with the Sun, governor to governor.

Our Being is our interior Sun. The Sun and our Being are very related to our heart. In our body our heart represents the Sun.

The heart beats like the Sun non-stop and is constantly at work sending its love in the way of nourishment through our blood to our organs and recovering the contaminated blood to have it cleaned and once again enriched with nutrients to be sent to the organs.

Creation and the system of worlds, planets and galaxies are organised by the Sun. They are all governed by a central Sun. Where several lesser Suns revolve around a greater Sun.

The constellation of Leo is related to the Sun and to the Law. Within the Sun is the Law. As the Sun governs so it is there that the strong hold of the Divine Law must be.

The Sacred Absolute Sun created via the three forces the Ors Solar System. The Sun is a representation of the three primary forces.

From the Sun we derive a trinity of: light, warmth and life. Without the Sun there would not be any life. all life is dependent upon the Sun.

The Sun is the one which was there before us and will be there after us. Therefore the Sun is the one which will never abandons us.

The Sun wishes for our realisation. So that we may join its life immortal. Based on that we can ask the Sun always for help in our endevours of realisation.

The Sun nourishes itself from the Ain Soph Aur where the Sacred Absolute Sun resides. The Sacred Absolute Sun is the midnight Sun, it is Its Being from where it derives its energy that It transforms and sends to us.

The Sun is pure and because it is pure it is so luminous and powerful. It maintains its purity and by means of its purity it sends life of the best Christic quality to us.

Each ray of sunlight is a shopping trolley, containing light or information, life, warmth, nourishment...don't we feel a natural joy at sunset when the sun rises victoriously over the horizon, doesn't a natural enthusiasm spring forth in us to greet life.

We have in the Sun our psychological and esoteric model. The Intimate Christ has been said to be the prototype of psychological perfection. If we follow His principles and characteristics we will get things right in our life.

The Sun is at the centre, the Sun teaches us the law of the centre. Which is to be with the light, our consciousness all the time, or as much as we can. It teaches us about self-remembering which is what it does drawing forces from its spiritual part - which is the midnight Sun the Sacred Absolute Sun.

The Sun was the author of the transmutation. The Sun was the first one to transmute. The Sun is the author of transmutation. Which it uses as a way to nourish itself while continuing to give more and better.

The Sun is a perfect practitioner of all the yogas.

The spirit of the Sun is the spirit of the Cosmic Chirst.

We have to be like the sun is in our psychology.

We have to love as the Sun loves. Follow the advice of the Sun in relation to love.

Each group is a Solar System. Each master or instructor is a Sun. The Sun can not leave its orbit to favour another planet otherwise it would be a disaster for the Solar System.

The Sun's main power is penetration. With penetration it can pierce all the way through all of creation., With its penetration it can heal, help and guide the creatures of creation.

The Sun is a trinity of light, life and warmth. People are so cold and need the warmth of the sun to hold them up.

The heart and Tiphereth are related to the Sun. That is our heart, our will and our soul.

If we focus on those centres in us we can better relate and speak to the Sun.

The Sun has the function of causing seeds to germinate, that is to bring things to life. The Sun wishes to reap a harvest of Solar men.

The seeds of the solar man of the Sun are in our sexual energies. With His principles we can draw them up into life.

The Sun is intelligence. The way of the Sun, the Solar way is the way of intelligence.

The Sun is the creator of civilization. The journey of the sun sets the time for each race. When the solar system completes its journey through the Zodiac belt a race on the Earth has reached its end. This takes 25 968 years.

The Sun has much to do with our realisation. Why not pray to It.

The correct point of view is the heliocentric point of view. With this point of view we can go closer to the truth. With the geocentric or lunacentric pint of view we are further from the truth.

The sun is ever constant, always present, gives the same to all creatures, no matter their level of Being. Sends light and love. Always shining and teachings.

There are two special tattwas in activity during sunset and sunrise. they produce a very specials feeling in the essence when hey vibrate.

The symbol of the Sun is the dot within a circle. It is telling us the we need to seek our centre, our summit which is the Being in us  - our particular Sun, which is always what the Sun does.

The Sun tells us not to be afraid, to give and give and even though you think that you will be burnt out giving by the same law of the Sun will cause you to receive and be invigorated and renewed.

The Sun gives us warmth. With warmth we are complete. With cold we are in a state of wanting. We want warmth. We are all so cold in life. We are always wanting warmth from friends, from relationships, etc. from hugs, kisses etc. When we bring in the Sun we can acquire warmth which is love. We have to find our love. When we are warm we feel to take off some layers of clothing and we do and then we can reveal our truth and shine in our truth.
