When we do something for the love of it ,we are in and from the heart.
We don't usually do something for the love of it. We do something to get something, whether it be physical or psychological.
The path and the Spirit work that way - because they are all about being. To do something for the love of it without the result, we are being love, we are inline with the essence of that thing we are loving and doing.
To do something for the result is not always the Being, it can be mind or some ego. The mind can not sustain doing something for the love of it. Only the heart truly can.
In other words we are in the work for our Inner Being because of our heart. The heart knows that to arrive at something of the Inner Being we need to 'be' that something. It also knows that we need to love it, and loving it we are unifying with it.
For our work we need lots of; 'for the love of it'.
