From life to life we don't change very much at all. Some lives are so much the repetition of now. The same profession, the same position in society, similar character, same behaviours etc.
What changes though are time and space. The country changes and the customs, technology, traditions, norms of the time change.
As we are now is how we have always been. Maybe we are worse in some ways now and better in other ways. Though the more we roll through time the heavier we tend to get.
An exception appears when it comes to esotericism. As time goes by we become more asleep and so we are less and less involved in esotericism. Something of esotericism always remains in us though life after life, as faint memory of how the development of the spirit in us and its powers are real.
Though now in this life we are deep into the real esotericism thanks to Gnosis.
