Priorities constantly shift in applying Gnosis. Over the years we have seen the priority shift numerous times.

A recent shift has been to priorities the awakening and the application of soul values to accelerate the liberation of the conditioned essence.

When the Gnostic movement first begun the priority was Alchemy, later it shifted to mystical death and we all know why.

In terms of teaching Gnosis now days, given that students have such short attention spans, the intelligent order is to focus impactfully on the essentials while we have their attention.

What really are the essentials and what would a new priority be?

What makes most sense is to focus the teachings on liberating the essence as a priority.

Previously teachings were focused on how the essence is trapped. Now days that tends to be received as depressing information and does not serve much purpose to students other than making the class atmosphere overly serious and heavy. It is more beneficial to all to focus on liberation.

"What does this topic teach us that we can apply to liberate our essence?" is central question in presenting the teachings.

With that question in mind and heart, then present.

Attention with Mind, Attention with Essence - (5197)

These two attentions are different. Attention with the mind tires the brain. and reduces the flow of life into steps, where it is inevitable that the narration of the mind begins to take over. With the awareness of steps comes a certain tediousness and the feeling of the flow of life leaving us behind. With the attention of mind very little of what's behind events comes to us... Attention with the essence brings the power of presence, in other words brings a certain depth and continuity of flow Attention with the essence doesn't tire or strain and opens doorways into perceiving what is behind events and the thoughts and feelings that appear within us. Wisdom from the Movie “Kingdom of Heaven” - (2168)

Introduction There are some movies that leave you with some pieces of advice that at point or another in your life or in the lives of others prove useful. This movie: “Kingdom of Heaven” was terrible to watch (too many battle scenes and people dying) but offered some very useful messages.
