Symbol of the Chalice – (1561)

Introduction

The chalice represents several things. It is essentially a receptacle in which usually liquid such as wine can be received. It is also a bell.

Represents

It can represent the female sexual organ, the feminine yoni.

It can also represent the brain. Where the transmuted sexual energy is received. The transmuted energy is absorbed by our brain and later filters down into our heart.

As a receptacle it represents the receiver of our transmuted sexual energy, or in other words our wine.

In the churches at a particular point in the standard ceremony the officiating priest raises the chalice, indicating something very archaic and universal, the transmutation of the sexual energy.

Our Chalice

Anyone of us, man or woman have an internal chalice, upon which can be seen the state of our transmutation or the quality of our transmutation. The colour and material of the chalice, the state of the chalice and the contents, are all indicative of something. The goal is a golden chalice containing wine with gems and small golden instruments indicating certain values.

Where as a silver chalice, slightly tarnished, filled with water indicates much work must yet be done.

End (1561).
