Answer
Because we lack the practice of being in the moment.
Being in the Moment Slows Things Down
Just try it. Enter the moment and stay there a short while.
Be in the moment, watch your awareness of the details of the moment and the environment
soon come into your focus. As your awareness increases you enter more fully the
moment and then in that state time slows down and the awe, amazement and love
of reality enters you.
Our problem is that we live in our mind constantly
projecting the future and always doing things to please the future. If we try
to just ‘be’ in the moment our perception of our life and time will change.
That of 'time flying' is a matter of perception!
End (2056).
