In Gnosis we don't believe in evolution, in the sense that human beings have come from a fish and from monkeys. But rather that the essence first enters into creation starting out from within the mineral kingdom, and over time working its way through the plant and animal kingdoms to enter the human kingdom.
The diagram below in many ways is the journey of the essence towards the human kingdom that is still happening today.
