Punishment for Divulging the Mysteries – (1345)

In the Past

In the past times of the medieval Alchemists and in the times of the Pharaohs, Master Samael says that anyone who divulged the mystery of the Arcanum somehow physically disappeared. The following excerpt from the Perfect Matrimony explains this beautifully.

“It was forbidden to disclose the secret of Sexual Magic. This is the Great Arcanum. Those unfortunate ones, who divulged the unspeakable secret, were condemned to death. They were taken to a paved courtyard, and before an ancient wall covered with the skins of crocodiles and indecipherable hieroglyphs, they were beheaded, their hearts were torn out and their cursed ashes were cast to the four winds. Cazotte, the great French poet who died on the guillotine during the French Revolution now comes to mind. At a famous banquet this man prophesied his own death, and the fatal fortune that awaited a certain group of noble Initiates who planned to reveal the Great Arcanum. For some he prophesied the guillotine, for others the dagger, poison, jail, exile. His prophecies were fulfilled with absolute exactitude. In the middle ages all those who revealed the Great Arcanum died mysteriously, either by poisoned shirts like those of Nessus, small poisoned soaps which arrived as birthday presents on the doorstep of the condemned, perfumed posies, or the dagger.”

It seems that those who did in those times divulge the great secret could have lost their path. It seems that they were severely punished to the extreme of a spiritual fall with much karma to pay.

Reason for a Fall

You know something, that having wrongly divulged the mysteries or esoteric secrets in the past could have incurred a great debt and produced a spiritual fall. Imagine the mysteries were divulged to a school working on the opposite side.

This is because it is treason. Each country punishes severely those who divulge government and military secrets. Governments do that because it puts the people of the country at risk.

In those times gone by, the punishment was very severe because speaking about the mysteries exposed the mystery schools of those times to the risk of being unveiled, profaned, harmed or destroyed even. It was back then the mandate of the Divine Law that these mysteries were not to be unveiled. So to speak about the mysteries was to break the Law. A fall always comes about when we transgress certain laws.

Not all the falls are sexual!

Times Have Changed

The times now have certainly changed, now the mystery of the Arcanum is wide open for any one to find with a few clicks on a computer connected to the internet.

Is that Punishment of Divulging the Mysteries Valid Today?

I would say yes, not for divulging the Alchemy, but for certain other things that would put a Gnostic or an esoteric group, school or individual in some kind of danger, or leave open an opportunity for a group, school or individual to be profaned or disrespected.

If someone wants something to be kept quiet we must respect that and keep silent.

End (1345).
