We Forget the Conscious States - (2269)

Remember in the Opportune Moment

What we should remember are the states where we were more conscious and we were able to clearly see the folly of the ego.

Having a clear memory of being in these higher than normal states of consciousness helps us greatly when battling the ego.

If we can remember these states and the firm conclusions that we came to about the ego in these states we can help tip the scales in our favour (essence) when battling that ego.

For example, after having worked on the an ego for a while and having managed to isolate it from the human machine one may come to the understanding and conviction that life is much easier and better without this ego and one is much happier and all that that ego brings is bitterness, angst and suffering. It is often this understanding that we forget.

The Tendency

The tendency is to dismiss these conclusions and convictions generated when were in a higher state of consciousness. Naturally as soon as we dismiss these conclusions the battle is lost.

We need to use our memory and pour consciousness to build a bridge between the present moment and that moment where we were more conscious. This is so that we can live more connected to our higher states of consciousness in a much more continuous way. This helps one to be more conscious and to keep the consciousness more active and for longer.

End (2269).
