That is the key behind the sense of awe and the state of alert
novelty – passive personality or separation of the personality.
We may be walking from one room to another at our place of
work and everything seems so ordinary, matter of fact, routine, dull and grey scale.
Though, when we make a conscious effort to separate our personality or make it
passive, a notable shift occurs.
As the consciousness appears everything becomes surreal,
new, amazing, awe inspiring, wondrous etc.
The personality is a layer that sits over our consciousness and
dulls it. To the personality all is ordinary, human and grey scale. The sense of
the cosmic and universal is very far from the perceptions available through the
terrestrial personality that we have.
