In the Kings and priests of old there was bestowed upon them a touch of the Divine sovereignty.
Even in this day there still is that touch of the sovereignty of the Divine, though its quality of manifestation is not like what it used to be in the old times now passed.
Upon a priest or priestess ordained and in a person crown King or Queen, that touch of Divine sovereignty was there for a purpose. That Divine gift laid down upon the person for the benefit of those they are to serve.
That touch of the Divine sovereignty was and is a don, a gift of Divinity, which legend says conferred certain powers to better serve the people. The power to heal, the wisdom to guide and lead, the strength to protect, discernment to distinguish good from evil, foresight to avoid danger, love to help and care, the power to exorcise evil...
As long as the priest, priestess, king or queen were to remain loyal to justice and the Divine those gifts would continue.
Often these powers would only be seen in times of contrast. Or when needed. Even now that is when they come out and are seen most clearly.
It is common practice even now days for royalty to visit the troops, to visit country men affected by hardship, to visit hospitals, to visit parliament, to visit struggling businesses and the people in the city streets. With each visit the morale of those in need would be lifted, like a little gift had been given to them.
Even back in the old times the King and or Queen would be on the battle field and what an honour it was to fight by the King's side.
In the old times the King or Queen, priest or priestess had real healing powers that could heal magically the sick and wounded. The priests and priestesses had real courage and esoteric power to exorcise evil etc.
In the case of a priest that touch of the Divine gift that comes with his ordainment is very much from the Cosmic Christ. Remaining loyal to the Cosmic Christ allows a priest and priestess to retain those powers and honour the responsibilities one is charged with. A priest or priestess like the Christ the Son is an intermediary between the human and the Divine.
As Master Samael said once the greatest power is that of the honest man, because to the honest man all the higher Divine powers can side to. With one of those great powers being the Divine Law and the inner Being.
End (3838).
