Smell, Brain, Ego and Emotion Process - (4647)

Here is a very interesting infographic about how the sense of smell creates emotion.

What is good for us to take from this diagram is that the egos we have connect to the thalamus in our brain. Then through the mind using the amygdala and hippocampus in the brain, our egos connect to memory and begin to generate their processes - which are usually ones of desire or avoidance.

For us, we can separate from the processes that the ego creates in us from the sense of smell. The reactions to smell can be very strong. It is very good for us to know how to separate from those reactions. It is a sensation that after all does not kill us, and its effect pass, unless it is a chemical smell that is dangerous to our health.

End (4647).
