The logic of envy is to feel either deserving or undeserving.
Envy comes from pride. Envy because of pride, looks for
every negative imbalance so that it can correct it.
Deserving and not being granted what we desire is an unbalance
from the point of view of pride, and being undeserving and being given something
that we feel that we don’t deserve is also another imbalance.
Both sides of envy are an imbalance within ourselves. It is just like the two sides of pride, where we feel above others on one side and on the other side we feel below others. Instead of just feeling what we actually are and not feeling less or more.
Not being envious is the same, it is to not feel deserving or undeserving, but to accept what comes to us. As according to the Divine Law we are always granted what we have the merits for and if it happens that we don't deserve something it because we don't have the merits for it, it will somehow escape our hands.
