Ask Vehemently in the Heat of the Moment
When we are angry already or getting angry as swift as the
wind ask yourself honestly and intensely is this really harming me? The answer
will mostly be no!
Then you will see anger drop down a notch.
Why?
Because anger arises and fuels itself on the perception and
thought that something or someone is harming us.
Then What?
Then as soon as you know that the situation or the person is
not harming us we have some space to engage our creative intellect and to us e wisdom
instead of force or combine the two to provide a wise solution to the
situation.
When Something is Not Harming Us!
When something really is harming us our anger is like justified
(better if we just use firmness or reasonable force not anger). People won’t
criticise and gossip and we will feel more or less alright (not too sorry or
anything like that). But when something is not harming us and we get angry then
that is when we lose out big time. We hurt others, we feel sorry and have to
apologise and our image drops and their trust in us hits the floor.
End (1477).
