Conditioning Factors 101 - (3911)

Introduction

There are many factors in our psyche that really restrict us. These factors are what we can call conditioning factors.

This post aims at describing in general what a conditioning factor is and what it does within us.

General

🚩Conditioning factors are inside of us, not outside.

🚩Each conditioning factor in us has an origin.

🚩In essence a conditioning factor is not the natural way of our psyche. It is something foreign.

🚩It essentially distorts the way we would normally process things.

🚩It can be functioning inside of us all the time or only at certain times.

🚩It implies a set way or narrow way of thinking, feeling and acting.

🚩It can be that it functions in us to produce a reaction, or it could be something always functioning conditioning our thoughts before any impression is received.

🚩A conditioning factor functions to produce a known response or reaction. A conditioning factor implies a programming, a limitation, a restriction etc.

🚩A conditioning factor can best be understood comparing it to an air conditioner. An air conditioner takes in the air from inside a room, cools or warms it and then releases it back into the room. a conditioning factor works the same way in our mind. It takes something in distorts it and outputs it.

🚩A conditioning factor takes an impression that enters our mind and puts it into some kind of psychological machinery that inevitably controls the way we relate to, respond to and react to that impression.

🚩Because of our sleeping conditioning most of our thinking contains elements of fantasy. Because of our conditioning if we are reprimanded we take it as an personal attack etc. So many examples like this.

🚩The number of conditioning factors within us are numerous. One of the biggest and most common is fantasy as well as relativity and duality.

🚩To be conditioned means to respond in a programmed way. There is a lack of free will.

🚩The conditioned way of responding does not organically adapt to reality. It is immune to change. It's responses are often maladapted to reality.

🚩The conditioning restricts the consciousness. Not allowing it freedom to manifest.

🚩Behind the conditioning is mainly the memory of a suffering that is the conditioning tries to avoid.

🚩There is a logic behind the conditioning. There is always a reason behind it. It is in place for a reason.

🚩Finding the reason behind it helps to greatly dissipate the conditioning.

🚩The conditioning becomes a very entrenched habit that proves hard to break, but it can be done.

🚩Conditioning factors do not necessarily have to be an ego.

🚩Conditioning factors principally affect the consciousness.

🚩When we are under a conditioning factor we are asleep.

🚩We work on conditioning factors as we do any ego. Asking for the help of the Divine Mother.

🚩Each conditioning factor has a mission statement. The conditioning factors are strong in that they really function to make good their mission statement. They are in place to make good their mission statement. they are not there in our psyche just to be there like decoration etc. They are really there to make our psychic life difficult, by restricting our consciousness.

Attention with Mind, Attention with Essence - (5197)

These two attentions are different. Attention with the mind tires the brain. and reduces the flow of life into steps, where it is inevitable that the narration of the mind begins to take over. With the awareness of steps comes a certain tediousness and the feeling of the flow of life leaving us behind. With the attention of mind very little of what's behind events comes to us... Attention with the essence brings the power of presence, in other words brings a certain depth and continuity of flow  Attention with the essence doesn't tire or strain and opens doorways into perceiving what is behind events and the thoughts and feelings that appear within us. It allows us also to flow with the flow of life, which is a pleasant feeling. Conclusion, make the essence bring attention to outer and inner life. End (5197).

The Sacred Substance Askokin - (962)

Introduction In simple terms, the sacred Askokin substance is the result of the mercury and the sulphur. It is the transmuted energy that crystallises to form the internal bodies (astral, mental and causal). In other words, it is the transmutation of our sexual energies. The Abrustdonis’ and ‘Helkdonis that Gurdjieff mentions in the excerpt below, taken from “Belzeebub’s Tales to His Grandson” are none other than the elements of mercury and the sulphur so spoken about in Alchemy. Excerpt on the Sacred Substance Askokin “I first learned that the destiny of beings arising on this planet of yours is chiefly to elaborate—by means of the process of their existence—the vibrations required by Nature for the maintenance of those former parts of the planet now called Moon and Anulios, when, do you remember, I became worthy personally to converse for the second time with His Conformity the then still Angel, but now Archan...

Wisdom from the Movie “Kingdom of Heaven” - (2168)

Introduction There are some movies that leave you with some pieces of advice that at point or another in your life or in the lives of others prove useful. This movie: “Kingdom of Heaven” was terrible to watch (too many battle scenes and people dying) but offered some very useful messages. In this post, I have presented a few, that have come in handy at point or another. Just to give you a bit of context, the movie is about the crusades, where the French and English were trying to defend the “Holy City” – Jerusalem from Islamic occupation. The topic of religion and God is a constant theme in the movie. It is very violent though, matching it frankly, quite awful to watch. Your Soul is in Your Keeping Alone An interesting dialogue between the French appointed king of Jerusalem and French Knight, the protagonist of the movie. Note, the king wears that metal mask because he has leprosy. King Baldwin I...
