Close but Not Quite -Teaches Us A Lot - (5807)

Near or close misses teach us a lot. It's like we go right to the edge and get to look down below.

There we can see the danger and what's expecting us if we are to go over.

It's all about timing. To be able to stop in time.

This is the second level of learning. The first level is our consciousness alone, the second level is the edge and the third level is over the edge.

Maybe we have to go over the edge a few times to benefit from the learning of the edge.

Maybe we have to go to the edge several times to be able to benefit from the consciousness alone.

The learning from the edge goes like this: we back away and we come back to ourselves and our life and we appreciate much more what it is that we have and nearly gave away...

We also learn at a deeper level how much more complete or convenient the line was that we were following before we met the edge.

We may also have discovered the folly of the illusion or false values and beliefs that took us to the edge...

The third typwe of learning over the edge, is bitter and requires much recovery depending on how high the cliff was. The learning of the edge does not spell disaster but almost does and there is little to no recovery.

There is no risk in the first learning, little in the second and great risk in the third.

We can take a horse to water but we can't make it drink. These three learnings teeach us to drink and to drink better and more.

End (5807).
