Learning from the Mistakes of Others - (1273)

The mistakes that others have made can help us.

They teach us what is wrong and what is right.

When we are in a situation and we remember the mistakes that others have made in the same situation or in a similar situation we are beginning to unlock the lesson of their mistake.

We may come to understand in these moments why they made their mistake. We can't stop there though, we must see the whole picture, which includes the psychological defect behind the mistake and the consequences of the mistake.

We complete the lesson when we focus on the mistake remembering the consequences and ask at least a few times: "Do I want to go through the same?", "Do I really want to go through the same?", "Do I really need to go through the same?". Then when we decide "no" we have really learnt from their mistake, and transformed their mistake into consciousness and knowledge.

Maybe, just maybe, they may receive some help too, as we have saved our hide thanks to them.

End (1273).
