Side Interesting Point
The number and word 7 is actually used 77 times in the Old Testament. Note, just a coincidence I think. The law of seven didn't really manifest there.
End (2667).
These examples are mostly linguistic. The only one that the I can see that is independently motivated is the 7 periods in the periodic table of elements in chemistry. I don't see anything more than 7 rows, periods, I don't see the larger gap between the 3rd and 4th the interval, these smaller gap between the 7th and 8th in of all, Nor do I see anything looking like it is returning to its source. Has anybody seen any independent confirmation of this supposed law of 7? I am not asking about traditions and and religious writings, I'm asking about actual facts in the world independent of these religious writings, independent of our custom of 7 days in a week. Some cultures have 5 days in a week, some have 20 days in a week. Pretty much anything you like can be divided into 7 different things, but these divisions are usually not independently motivated; rather they are arbitrary, and the energy relationships predicted by Gurdjieff do not appear in these divisions. The supposed 7 major organs in the body is not an obvious example, since it excludes the intestines, for example. The 7 toned octave is used in Western culture, but the Greeks used a 5 tone scale, and other cultures have used other divisions. Actually ours is a 12 tone scale. A study of harmonics does not seem to force the 7 tone scale as the 'correct' division sequence. Also it does not have the lengthened gap between mi-fa different from the shortened si-do. Are there any real independent examples that match anything like what Gurdjieff described? I looked at the decay rates of vibrations of guitar strings, and also at harmonics. Nothing seems to leap off the page at me. Please understand this is not some sort of criticism, or refutation. It is a search for what in the real world might this law actually be if it does exist? Please help.
