When we have an ego in our human machine wanting something and we know with our better judgement that doing what it wants will not be helpful for us as a person, as an essence and it won't help our work much either we have to have some reasons known to ourselves to deny it.
When we give way to that ego we do it for a reason which the ego provides us. So to stop it we need a reason or reasons too, which the work provides us with.
So if we have these reasons good, if not we have to look for them and so we will be in good stead to stand the temptations of this ego. If we lack reasons or are weak in them, we're innn trooouuuble.
