In the absence of love, force always appears. Why not other qualities? That is a good question. The observation is that it is usually force that comes to do the job love would normally do.
We want to help a person and usually the love we have comes to show us how. If love is slow to appear force will appear to help instead.
Using force we make a mess unless love comes quickly to the rescue. Often love comes along late after we have made a mess. Then if pride is not too big, usually feeling sorry at making a mess brings love, and we work things out with love and force.
The truth is that force and love must work hand in hand to help a person. Not love alone and not force alone. Together!
Combining love and force together guided by truth gives rise to another virtue called wisdom.
End (5941).
