Our karma tricks us! It has to. We don't really want to pay it. Our subconscious knows that we have karma and we know that paying it won't be pleasant. So our subconscious naturally does all that it can to keep us far away from the people and scenarios that would make us encounter our past debts.
To overcome the avoiding power of our subconscious our own karma tricks us by enticing another part of our subconscious that is just as powerful. That is why so often we feel divided. We feel so drawn but at the same time so very wary.
As soon as our own karma begins to trick us using another powerful subconscious element, the will that is conditioned in us is available to be compromised by our karma, and that will works driving us closer and closer to the people and circumstances to get involved and stay involved until we encounter our karmic debts.
This can also work for our dharmic payouts as well. But there is less trickery involved. A very different force other than our conditioned will is used and there is less of a compelling feeling, with less division. There is a different force that operates within us - something more like a trust and faith that tells us things will be ok.
End (5940).
